Daughter Loves This
Great toy for child that loves doors!!My son loves doors!!! I asked my Dad to get this toy for his Christmas present (he was 1 year old then). I knew he would play with it, but I didn't know he much he would love it! He's now 1-1/2 yrs old and still loves to play with it all the time, more than once a day and up to an hour at a time. He even drags riding toys through the door to take them in "his house". I have more photos and movies around this toy than any other one.
Note about the screws: They were in a small bag, taped inside the box so they weren't easily seen. I called Fisher Price to get a new bag. They told me they were back ordered because people didn't know where to look. Easy enough to put together, but have a long THIN screw driver if you want all the screws in.
If your child loves to play with doors, then they will love this toy. The price now is about $5 less than Christmas 2005, so it's a great deal. I haven't seen too many stores carrying this toy, either. Is a great toy to have when you are trying to make dinner and don't want to worry about baby getting hurt.

We love the Laugh and Learn lineThis is a really great toy with many fun activities. The songs and sounds are very cute and it's not a toy that will become irritating to grownups who have to listen to it. I have nieces who range in age from 5-9 and they also enjoy playing with it. It's designed for children of all ages so you will get your money's worth!

Don't waste your moneyOur 2 year old has a ball playing with this. It's hardly an educational toy, but it does keep him busy for a long time. The biggest problem we have is that it cannot be cleaned. We tried getting some dirt off the botom right corner with a little water and a sponge (just dabbing, not scrubbing). Now, that corner can't be used (water doesn't change its color anymore). My advice is to put your money toward an item that can be kept clean and has a little more educational value.
rest easy it is only water. we bought this toy for our 2 yr old daughter for her birthday because she loves to draw especially on the walls. I wanted something that she could draw on that i did not have to worry about. Now i can say that it is a toy more for 3 and up my son who is 3 loves it and plays with it a lot he does not mind that it is only in blue by the time he fills it up he is bored with it and by the time it dries he is ready to go again. I was suprised how much he enjoyed it because of the reviews i had read. My daughter on the other hand still is drawing on the walls but now with water and instead of eating crayons she is sucking the water out of the pens. On occasion she will go over and draw and she loves splattering the water to make rain. I think it is something that she will grow into and really enjoy when she hits 2 1/2 and for now i don't have to worry about repainting my walls or the digestion of colored wax and the plus is she now drinks water.
My baby brother LOVES itMy 18 month old brother got this because he absolutely loves writing but most crayons and markers go straight in his mouth, not good. Anyways, he can play with this for HOURS and HOURS. Because it has small parts we make sure to watch him. It is very durable and, considering it's on sale, it's fairly inexpensive considering it's reusability. Also, you can wash it with warm soapy water if food or anything gets on it! We got the smaller aquadoodle pad for my 3 year old cousin and it is also very nice. I compare hers to a magnadoodle. But yes, this is a great product and I recomend it to any parent!

Look at the books more than use the LeappadI bought this for my daughter when she was 7 months. She is now three years old and can finally push on the pages hard enough to make it work. She actually spends more time just looking at the pages than actually using the Little Leappad as it is intended. We now have a second daughter who is 12 months as she has experienced the exact same thing.
We do play together with the girls using this product; however both my children are quite independent and want to do this for themselves. When they can't get it to work - primarily because it requires to hard of a touch to activate - they get frustrated and move on to a new toy.
I am a huge fan of LeapFrog. However, must admit I am disappointed in this product. It is not their best. Due to our experience with this product, we have opted not to purchase the Leappad for our daughter and instead went with a competitor's product. Hopefully, we will have better luck.

We love this bookThis is a great investment. I just think kids need to want to sit and look at books. Our son was 18 months before he wanted to pay attention. Now he uses it daily. :)
Great BooksWe got this for my son when he was 9 months old. He wasn't intrested with it until he was about 20 months old; but now its great!!! He has played with it daily for about 6 consecutive months now. The noises are realistic and the voices very clear. I love that there is noise level adjuster as well.

Spend the extra $ and get a better playmatWe recieved this playmat at our shower along with the Baby Einstein playmat. My son LOVES the Baby Einstein mat but is pretty bored by this one. On the Baby Einstein mat, he kicks his feel and waves his arms while smiling away, but on the Fischer Price mat he just lays there.
The toys are hanging too high for him to hit to activate the bird's movement, and on the flip side, the bird hangs too low. I tried lowering the toys with some extra lincs and one of them hit him in the head and since they're hard plastic, it made him cry. I have to position him with his feet next to the base of one of the bars so he can kick the bar to activate the bird. The bird just doesn't interest him at all, it moves pretty jerky and doesn't have anything flashy to attract and keep his attention.
The mat does have lots of cute things for tummy time play, the one advantage of this mat over the Baby Einstein mat. But I'd still say that if you have an active little baby who's hard to entertain, this playmat isn't for you.

Worth every pennyThis play mat is wonderful and has so many different items that keep my daughter entertained. We purchased when she was 2 weeks old when the doctor suggested we start on tummy time. We will lay her on her stomach and shake the dragon fly rattle, which detaches, and she will move towards us. Other times we will play with the butterfly on the mat, whose wings make a crackling sound. There is another dragon fly on the mat that squeeks. At about 5 weeks we finally installed batteries (it takes 4 "C"). The bird doesn't really capture her attention yet, but is just the cutest thing that I have ever seen. There are a few more toys and a mirror that she also is too young to understand yet but that's good because it means that this play mat will last us for some time. Like I said in the title, worth every penny!!
Love itI bought it for my daughter when she was about 4 months old. If I would of known she was going to love it i would have got it sooner. She had so much fun and kept her very entertained. She outgrew pretty soon. I recomned you buy when baby is 2 months.

LOUD FISHIESI bought this with the hopes of it being soothing for my daughter (now 2 months). My husband and I had a hard time at first attaching it to the crib as our crib top back rail is wide. We ended up placing on the side rails and she has to turn her head to see it. The music is very soothing, I can hear it through her monitor and fall asleep to it; however, when the fish are in motion- THE MOTOR IS VERY LOUD- louder than the music. My friend had the same problem with a model of an earlier version she purchased in 2000. When you call Fisher Price thinking that it is defective, they indicate that is how the model works. OVerall I keep it on the light and music mode and my daugher seems to enjoy it
10 Month old loves it and has slept with it for 8 monthsThe gentle light (which can be turned off), bubbles, and moving characters make this a mesmerizing toy. It also plays very soothing music and very pretty music. Also comes with running water sound. Really helped my daughter sleep in her own bed. She can turn it on herself now, and sometimes, during the night we will hear that she turned it on and went back to sleep. As other reviewes have noted, the toy does make a noisy sound I would describe as grinding gears, but my daughter was not bothered by it.
Good Baby ItemIt has several songs and 3 modes, were you can chooose to put only music or combine it with bubbles & ligths. It's great for you crate, a bit heavy for its ok.

Rush HourMy children were 5 and 7 when we bought rush hour three years ago. They both love it. It is their first choice for a car trip. My husband enjoys it as much as they do. We have also purchased the next two levels of cards. It is very challenging and requires alot of problem solving skills. We highly recommend it.
Rush hour is hours of funThis is a wonderful item that will make your child think. It is also equally fun for adults. Challenge your child.
Fun for allI just bought this game for my (...) grandson and now everyone is hooked on it. It is fun for everyone. My grandson can work all the way to advanced. Some of my friends have trouble with intermediate. It all depends on the person. It's teaches children to think for themselves.

An ok toyWe bought this for our son when he was 2 months old and he has yet to be interested in it. The music is very loud and he has no interest in playing with any of the buttons or objects on it. He does kick it and push it away from him, so I constantly have to push it back towards him. At 4 1/2 months old, he still is not that interested in it, but we keep trying it out each day to see if it will spark an interest.
The good and badWhat we like
1. Very versitle-5 ways to use it.
2. Colorful and entertaining- Baby loves to play with toys, watch lights and listen to music.
3. Easy to build and use.
What we didn't like
1. Way too loud. Put tape on the speaker until baby sat up to play with it-could be a choking hazard.
2. Tall baby-had to remove the green side for baby to fit under it.

Loud and maybe better for older babiesI love the fact this toy can convert so many different ways. When our daughter was an infant, she sort of liked it but it was almost impossible to get the music to play (I had to swing at the toy myself) and it is wayyyy tooooo loud! I was suprised there was no soft/loud switch like most toys have now. I had to tape cloth over the speaker. My husband accidentally put it together backwards (so that her head is up against the green seat thing) - the instructions weren't clear and once you put it together, it appears there's no mercy in fixing any mistakes. Hopefully it will be more fun when she's sitting up and playing with it that way.

Works great - easy to put togetherWe ordered this tent to bring to the beach, it came recommended by a friend. Worked great and was easy to put together. Our 8 month old enjoyed it and loves to play with it in the house as well! I plan on using it a lot in the future and buying one for my friend who is due in October.
AWESOME Tent!!We have a 5 month old and just got back from Maui... She loved it, we loved it and everyone was happy! Worth every penny! Even our 8 year old crawled in there and took a "cat nap" (we spent a lot of time on the beach). I think if we didn't have it life on the beach would have been a real bummer, you can put the babies toys in it for entertainment and store your food and drinks to keep them free of sand (and bugs).
great tentWe brought this on vacation with us to our beach house and it worked so well. Our newborn could nap in the tent - bug and sun free while the rest of us got to enjoy the outdoors! We did put an additional beach towel over the top to make sure no sun got in.

I would do it againI bought this for my 2 year old daughter. I was a little disappointed because the blood pressure cuff is so hard for her to squeeze. She can't make it work on her own which is frustrating for her. Otherwise she seems to enjoy it.
Makes Doctor Visits less ScaryMy little girl has to go to the doctor quite a bit. This little set makes her familiar with some of the things that will happen in the office and she even gives me and the family dog out check-ups!
Best toyWe got this for my daughter for Christmas and she is still playing with it. She examines everyone from Aunts, cousins, Grandparents, and stuff animals. It is a great learning toy!

Very cute, butit didn't hold his attention for long.. it really is cute and very educational.. it is worth it.. I think my little man is just too active.. lol.. but he did like it!
Wonderful attention grabber! My 2 month old can't stop smiling when he looks at this toy! It is the cutest thing to see how his attention is captivated by the sounds. We bought rechargeable batteries and we charge them at night. Rechargeable batteries are the way to go when you have small children. We used this same toy for our 2 year old. He played with it from about 3 months till he was about 14 months old. This toy helped him take his first steps too! He would hang on to the couch and try to walk to his Leapstart in the middle of the room. A great toy for the price!
My son LOVES this! I received this from a friend at my shower. I didn't register for it, but she said her daughter loved it. I started using it when he was 2 months old. He loves it. He kicks along with the music, and contrary to other reviews, I think the music is better than most of his other toys. It has many different songs that don't get too old too quickly. He loves the blinking lights and the mobile. I would buy this again!!
My only negative comment is on the construction. When putting it together I wasn't able to make it as stable as I thought it should be. It rocks on its base. When my daughter was younger and she leaned on it for support it made me a bit nervous. Now that she is walking and climbing she's learned that she can rock it by pushing on the top half. We've checked the screws and adjusted them several times but the house continues to rock.
Although it seems unstable it has never tipped over. Our daughter loves it so much that we refuse to get rid of it. Overall, it's a great toy.
