False advertisingIf this is a CD player, then my kid's See-and-Say is a record player. This doesn't play CD's - it just has a spinning plastic disc with pictures. I was rather dissappointed with this purchase...
Fun but short lifeMy daughter received this as a birthday gift. She absolutely loved it, but within 3 months the push button in the middle stopped working, so you had to turn the CD by hand if you wanted to use it. We kept it around because she liked it, but just recently when we turned it on the sounds were all garbled, we changed the batteries to make sure that wasn't it and it was still garbled. My daughter has had this toy for about 8 months now and it is the worst I have seen. The quality is not worth the price. I am sad to see that my brother paid so much for a toy of poor quality. I would have to say buyer beware with this toy.
Our baby's favourite toy !!!!!!!!The name sure is deceiving ... not a cd player ... but its a great toy that spins like a cd.
Our baby's favourite toy since she was three months old. Specially when she is in the car seat (which she hates to be in), this toy will keep her entertained and busy for a long while. She is 8 months now and still enjoys this toy as much.
Great for its value, and the music & lights are a plus.

Whoozit Zig Zaggles
Amazon base price: $
Average review score:

We call it a whatzit...Lillie (3 months) has a baby Whoozit & loves it so we picked the zig zaggles up to give her some variety. She loves it. The rings are easy for her little fingers to get a good grip on. It's light enough that she can lift it to her mouth & there are stimulting images no matter what direction it is in. We call it a whatzit though because we can never remember the name. Overall it's one of her favorites and ours too - easy to care for & cheap enough that we purchased another for back up. Highly recomended!!!
Sure to please any babyMy 6 mo old grandson loves this toy as much as Baby Whoozit. I bought Zig Zaggles when was 4.5 months old in order to give him a little more variety--Whoozit was practically the only thing he wanted to play with. Colors that he likes, lots of surfaces to grab and a variety of chew textures have had him choosing Zig Zaggles as frequently as Baby Whoozit.
One of my son's favorites! This toy did a wonderful job keeping my son entertained when he was a baby. He loved to look at it, touch it, and chew on it. It was especially great for the car seat and stroller. You can attach a chain of rings (Sassy and Fisher Price make some) to the rings on this toy and then attach it to the car seat or stroller so your child doesn't throw it on the floor. That is a really nice feature. Ten bucks may seem a little pricey for this toy, but my son certainly got far more than ten dollars worth out of it. Highly recommended.

Great train! This toy is wonderful! Inside the blocks are circus animals that move when the train is going. By far this is my sons favorite toy. It is very easy for a baby to activate and has lights that blink. Very cute music as well. It even goes on carpet.
My son LOVES thisI think that Amazon rates the recommended age for this too low. My son got this as a Christmas present when he was 5 and a 1/2 months old. He loved it then. Took him a bit to figure out how to work it, but it was love at first site. He's 10 months old now, and still absolutely loves this toy. If you start the train, no matter what he's doing, he has to come over as quick as he can to play with it. He loves to start it, and then flip it upside-down to watch the wheels. I could not be more impressed with this toy. He will quite literally play with it for an hour at a time.
I'm looking for the others in the series, right now.
Good job Fisher Price!

stops his cryingWe got this for my grandson and it is his favorite toy. He got it at 6 months and learned to make noise when the train made noise. Now he is 9 months and when he starts to cry we push the train and when he hears the noise he crawls over and starts to play. I never thought a toy train would bring so much joy.

i used to love bath toysbut this one stinks i got my nephew this thing for his birthday and he hated the thing it as so boring for him that he cried his whole bath time! don't get this thing
Fun for allMy 11 month old daughter loves this toy. She loves to put the animals in the basket and pull the basket out of the water. She has fun with it the whole bath time.
What's not to get?My son is almost three and loves this toy. He particularly likes scooping, and has played with it out of the tub, as well, making up stories about saving the animals. We have several bath toys, and he requests this one more than half the time.

World's Largest Crossword Puzzle

This is a big project!I just finished the World's Largest Crossword Puzzle last night. It's been one heck of a project--approximately equivalent to 200 slightly oversized daily crossword puzzles. I'm going to love hanging the puzzle on my wall--it really is something to behold when it's all done. But it's also a big undertaking that requires a great deal of patience and perserverance.
The puzzle itself is moderately difficult, but made more so by the fact that somewhere during the revision (it's been re-done once) or perhaps during the original construction some errors were made. Because of this, many of the clues don't match the answers. Add to that the fact that the author uses many hundreds, possibly even thousands, of abbreviations that are specific to a certain field (e.g. "Abbreviation used in electrical engineering") that no lay person ever has a chance of knowing, and you've got what can be an exercise in frustration. You can work for hours on one small section and only later find out that the clue doesn't fit the answer. I'm generally pretty dogged in completing crosswords until letter perfect, but that's not possible here. So I had to sacrifice a bit of my honor and force myself to give up after a couple of passes through the ups and downs. Still, it's about 98+ percent solvable, which is pretty good when you consider how intricate the puzzle is and how hard it must have been to create.
Overall, I enjoyed the process and am pleased with the result. If you've got the time and energy, I highly recommend this.
