This toy is a WASTE OF MONEY & Space! We got this as a gift! It is so worthless! I wish the store would take it back! The kids did not like it and it really doesn't do anything fun. Don't waste your money!
Worth every penny!!!My son loves this playmat. He enjoys lying on this back and sitting up. It is the BEST playmat out there!!!!!!!!!
Great Toy!My baby girl loves this toy. I put her on it at about 6 weeks and she has loved it ever since. Highly recommend it!

Thomas is Great! My 3 year old son loves Thomas the train and loves this book! Although he doesn't understand all of the games yet, he still loves to "read" the book and point to different things on each of the pages. This is a great addition to our LeapPad Library!
What a great book!If you have a Thomas fan, then be sure to get this book for their leappad. It's just a very cute story and the train sounds are very realistic and quite neat. Of all the books, this one is used the most in our house and it is quite entertaining. It gets used almost daily and the interest is not fading even yet. Highly recommend!
Son loves ThomasI bought this for my 6 year old, but my two year old son has taken it over. He sits there and listens to it all day.

A great gift! The kids love the wooden food! They especially love cutting the fruit and food. The food is well made, has great colors and is durable. I would buy it for a gift!
Little Chef's DelightI bought this well made toy for my daughter for Easter. She LOVES to play chef, making all sorts of creations, writing down food orders, etc. While this toy may seem perfect for two and three year olds, my soon to be 5-year-old girl really, really enjoys it. She has made several hundred pepper and tomato, or carrot sandwiches in only three days. The combination of sandwiches appear to be endless. Literally hours of fun, especially if you encourage a whole restaurant scenario.
A great set for little chefs!I bought this set for my 2-year-old for her birthday and she can't get enough of cutting the food and putting it back together again! We had another toddler over for her birthday and he couldn't get enough of it, either.

It's a great thought...I bought this globe for my son this past Christmas. My son is Autistic and is VERY facinated with anything that has to do with geography. We bought him a regular globe and he loved it so much I thought this one would be perfect. The pen is very tempormental. sometimes when playing the game it doesn't recagnize the correct answer when touching it. Also sometimes it just either dosesn't recognize the pen touching anything or goes haywire. I am also dissapointed that the batteries don't last very long. We put new batteries in it Christmas Eve and come mid Christmas afternoon it said to replace the batteries. I love the concept and my sone likes it, but since it's so hard to use and doesn't hold power too long, I wouldn't buy it. It is now on the Top shelf of his closet and he is back to the old plain globe we bought at the office store for 10 bucks!
not worth the expenseWhen the globe actually works, it's great. The globe seems to have a mind of it's own, and the pen works sporadically.
My son uses this almost every day!...He is a geography fan and won our homeschool group's Geography Bee this year, partly because of this globe. He first saw it in a library about 18 months ago. Every time we went to the library, he picked it up. I find myself doing the quizzes. The national anthem feature is a little hokey but my son likes to listen to the songs' brief excerpts. You can locate countries, capitals, continents, oceans, hemispheres and much more.
This really isn't a toy. In some of the reviews, I see where some people have purchased the globe for younger children. Much of the material would be a little abstract for younger children. At the price of around $95, I would suggest this globe for children ages 8 and up.
We can personally verify the hardiness of this globe!
My [...] son dropped this globe. It came apart in 2 pieces. I was worried that it was destroyed but my husband put it back together and got it working, PTL!!! If you have a geography fanatic in your home or just want to know more about our world, this globe is a must-have!

Would give it 0 stars if I couldThis is absolutely the worst Little Mommy Toy ever. The legs are always coming off, and I keep trying to jam it into it's spot back in. Gladly I don't own it, but I was playing with it at my little neighbor's house. She has it, and the legs keep coming off, and the little girl is only 3, and she can't handle that!! I felt sorry for her when she started wailing because it didn't work. Trust me, do not buy this toy unless you want to dissapoint your daughter!!!!!!!
Sincerely,
Carrot

Very poorly made and legs constantly fall off.At first this toy seemed wonderful, but after a few days all of the pieces started falling apart. The stethoscope fell apart, as did all of the other little pieces. The legs constantly fall off and never seem stable, the back of the table falls off. In fact, every single part of the toy easily comes apart, making it very frustrating for my 3 year old. After a few days of trying to keep all of the pieces intact, we just gave up.
The concept is a good one, but the way this toy was made is very poor. The design is good, but there is no thought in keeping the pieces together. The quality of all of the medical apparatus is very poor. For my 3 and 5 year olds, this toy just did not hold up. I would not recommend this toy to anyone unless you enjoy putting the legs constantly back on, as well as all of the pieces on the table such as the scale.

toy falls apartI bought this for my 3 year old, and she loves this toy. The bad thing is that she is always bringing me different parts to put back together. From the moment we opened the box we realized how poor this toy was made. Every piece falls apart. Her babies are always falling in the floor when the legs come off. That makes a 3 year old mad. I think the toy needs to go back in the shop. It has great potential though.

Pixter PitifulI bought the first gen. Pixter in 2004 for my daughters, it didn't have the updated video features but you could play games on it pretty good. After a few months, it went dead, everytime you turned it on and use the pen the screen would freeze. So I figured ok, this thing has just gone bad.
In 2005 I purchased the new and improved Pixter (in pink) for my girls, with the new video feature, and hoped maybe just maybe this one would stick around for a while. Needless to say within two months, the game was blinking on and off and not playing at all. I wrote to Mattel and let them know of their faulty product and they told me to send it to them, I did and they sent it right back, still a broken mess. I'd never buy another Pixter again.
Leapfrog has a much better handheld video game Leapster and their games are far more educational and practical than Pixter.

Love it, but watch out for accessories! My twin 7-y-olds LOVE their Pixters. They spend hours on them. Better in the car than even DVD players, and far more interactive. The only thing I don't like is that all of the accessories I have tried to buy ONLY work on the older Pixter models (called Color Pixter, I believe). The travel case is too small and the digital camera doesn't work either. Now, the camera did say "requires color pixter systems to work." I took that to mean they had to have color and not b/w, not that it had to be an older system. The travel case didn't say anything but "pixter" on it. So, while I've had to return a few accessories, the kids LOVE the toys. So, would still recommend. Just buy accessories with caution!
a FUN creative toy, FUN for creative kids!We were looking for a substitute of the likes of the Video Now or some the other mindless electronic toys on the X-Mas must-have lists. It isn't much cheaper than those others, but we felt that the options for creativity were greater with the PIXTER.
Like the other systems there are built-in functions: a tetris-like game, a drawing page, word games, dot-to-dot pages, and more. The stylus tool is fairly easy to use and the drawing functions have many stamps, backgrounds and other methods to enhance artwork. The PIXTER will save selected works, also there are many accessories to extend PIXTER interest, additional cartridges some with licensed products like Sponge-Bob, Barbie, Walking with Dinosaurs, Teen Titans, each allowing real-time clips and editing of TV scenes ($20 each). One of the most interesting accessories is the digital camera for even more personalized creative play.
My 8 and 5 year old were hooked by the PIXTER. The only problem is the batteries, some systems come with chargers or AC ports, the PIXTER DOES NOT. We bought rechargable AAs for the toy.
Also many stores do not carry assessories for the system, but TOYS R US has the digital camera for the set (@$[...]) which is really great, allowing users to modify & play with photos of their own!

This is worth BuyingI bought this for my 8 month old son. He really like the book. The pictures are really bright and the story is intresting to him with all the sounds. This is one of the best books I have bought for the Little Touch LeapPad!
"If I Were" LittleTouch LeapPadI purchased this item for my granddaughter for a gift.
One of my son's favoritesMy son is 19 months old. He started enjoying the LT Leappad in the last two months. His favorite book is "If I Were..."
This book shows different animals--horse, elephant, lion, and bear. If you push on, for example the lion it will make the lion noise: Roar. We have so much fun with this book because DS loves pushing an animal to hear the sound. Then he sometimes repeats the sound.
This book, along with the Baby Word Book. has justified the expense of buying the Little Touch Leappad because we have enjoyed these two books so much.

Take it or Leave itI registered for this item and received it. It engages my 2.5 month old for about 10-15 mins. I had to hang infantino toys on it that were made for her carseat to make it more interesting to her. I wish the mat was a little more cushy so that I didnt need to put a blanket under it on my hardwood floors. Overall... I could take it or leave it. I am now researching a new mat that will engage her more.
Wonderful Playmat!!!We actually purchase this playmat when our son was about 2 months old. The reason we chose it was because we read that babies see the colors black and white and red the best. He is now 3 1/2 months old, and still LOVES this playmat. The toys that attach can be changed out with different toys. This helps keep our son interested longer. We actually have taken toys that aren't made specifically for this product and attached them (rattlers, rings, etc.). I don't know what we would do without this playmat. It keeps our son entertained for 20-30 minutes at a time!
Play TimeMy daughter is now 3 months she has been playing with this gym since she was 6 weeks. At first she would just look mesmerized by the colors and shapes but now she touches the toys (we hung our own) she rolls over and looks at the color and patterns on the mat as well as her toys I have on there. She uses it daily and moves all over in it. Until she sits up completely on her own this is a great toy.

It doesn't get much better than this!A toy that my 4 year old boy keeps playing with over & over again. The entire series has him captivated. Up until the Imaginext Dinosaurs he really didn't have any interests, so I am thrilled that we stumbled upon this series. These are so durable and reasonably priced, too!!!
Another great dino by ImaginextThe brontosaurus is yet another of the Imaginext dino toys that are so well-made (durable and adjustable) and fun to play with, our kids really enjoy them. We have two boys 4 and 6, and they usually have fights between thunder and the t-rex. With all the smashing and crashing they do, we've had not so much as a paint chip on any of the toys. The sounds are great, and I love how you can move their legs and tail around. They make a great addition to our dinosaur collection.
Great ToyI bought this for my 2 1/2 yr. old, who is madly in love with dinosaurs. This is a really neat toy. He enjoys the little cavemen that came with it, the sounds the dinosaur makes, and it is clearly his favorite toy for Christmas. I think what I like the most, is the durable construction, and how it really enables him to use his imagination. It is a little lop sided, because the foot is raised for a stomping motion when you pull the trigger, but this hasn't bothered him in the least.
His two older brothers, 6 and 4, hover anxiously for him to put this toy down so that they can pounce on it and play with it, so I think this is a great toy for a variety of ages. I'm looking forward to purchasing more of the collection for all of them.
