We bought this bok for our daughter and it wonderful. She's in kindergarden now and this book has helped her to learn how to read and spell. Kids must learn their short vowels in kindergarden and this books helps them learn just that. She really loves the games in the book ! This is trully an excellant buy!

I bought the leappad for my 5year old in kindergarten. He was alittle confused about rhyming. After playing with this book, he is so excited that he now understands rhyming. This book also helped him sound out words and spell them. This is a great book.

I bought the underwater walkie-talkies for my kids thinking they would be a great new pool toy. Much to our disappointment they did not work. We tried them in a variety of circumstances and different pools. Nothing intelligible.

This was about a year ago and maybe they have improved them since.

They look durable, not sure what educational value except maybe "caveat emptor"!

I was excited to see this product: I'm a big fan of underwater toys, and regularly visit my nieces and nephews for extended "pool parties." And the idea is absolutely fabulous.

Unfortunately, they simply don't work. The sound transmitted isn't any more legible than just yelling underwater without any device, it's just a little louder. Even 1 foot away from each other, basically yelling in each other's ears with the thing, we couldn't understand a single word. Very disappointing, and the kids lost interest in the Water Talkies in about 10 minutes.

Again, the idea is great, but unfortunately the implementation simply doesn't work well at all. Frankly, I'm amazed to see these still on the market 3 years later: it just goes to show that good ideas can sell even if the reality isn't there.

(In all fairness, I tried them when they first came out, and for all I know they've been improved since then. That would be nice, but I'm not counting on it.)

For a really great underwater toy with staying power (still the favorite pool toy 4 years later,) look for a Toypedo...

Again it is a fun toy to use and it works nicely it has awsome durablety. Finily in close it really works you can realy talk under water and under stand what the other person is saying!

I have been looking for a lap desk for my daughter for her 3rd b-day and thought this one would be perfect after reading the first review.

I bought it at my local store in order to look at it closer before giving it to my daughter. She is quite rough with her toys and I wanted to make sure it could stand up to her "beating". Well, I was not impressed with what I saw.

The lap desk is very functional and pretty, however the plastic is quite flimsy and I could see my daughter pulling off the side lids when she would try to open the side storage areas to get a crayon or marker. They would come off easily.

Also the clip that holds the paper in place works great...but it also is flimsy and would pull off in a second with one quick jerk.

The pillow that is on the underside of the lap desk is pretty and good quality, however it is stuffed so full that if you put this on a child's lap it does not "conform" to their legs. That appeared to make it uncomfortable for my daughter to use.

I think this desk would work out better on an older child (5 or 6) as they would be more careful and the overstuffed pillow would fit better on a larger framed child.

I'm sad that the manufacturer did not put more quality in their product, even if we had to pay a little more for it. There are some nice aspets to this lap desk, however I know it won't last one week in my daughter's hands.

My 4 year old daughter loves this lap desk! It is very durable and functional. There are holes to hold the crayons and markers that are included in the set. Both sides open to reveal storage space to store the markers and crayons when not in use. The pink pillow that is used to set the desk in your lap is detachable so can be used on the floor also. There is also a clip to hold paper in place. This is a great toy and I would recommend it for the princess lover!

This was nice, but I thought we would get more for the $10 price tag. It works well for our 5 and 3 year old. The 5 year old does the writing and the 3 year old uses it for letter recognition and drawing.

A great price for a great item. I've boughten several different write and trace items, many too large to store into her desk like the one we bought at Office Depot, and the others have been paper material (which is a no-no and usually gets lost, ripped, or found on the floor after taring the write and trace pages from the book, or even if it was printed).

Now this, is A+ for both of us especially when getting the hang of writing all the letters. Perfect size for little people, and in my opinion, will help a bunch with your child. Starting off with markers (wipe & remove) are awesome.
