Not as great as the reviews would have you believeI was surprised that this toy got such good reviews, because I am not at all impressed with it. I thought that both of my sons (12 mos. and almost 3 years) would enjoy it, but neither has spent much time with it, despite enjoying other shape sorters - plus, one loves music, the other loves animals/making animal sounds. The shapes are hard to get out, and this frustrates my 1-year-old son. And I was disappointed that the music doesn't play when the shape is inserted; you have to press the shape after putting it in to get the music to play (or bypass that, and push the little button to get the music without even doing the shapes).
My 1 year old approvesShe got this toy for her birthday and just loves it. It keeps her occupied the whole time while I am getting ready for work. Her favorite side is the shapes. She will take them out and put them back in over and over again. When she pushes on the shape she will wiggle and bob her head to the music. A good value for the price.
WONDERFUL TOY!!!My mom bought this toy for my 13 month old daughter. She absolutely LOVES it! She loves pushing the animals to hear the sounds they make, taking the shapes out and shaking them (they rattle), and turning it over to play with the items on the other side. It entertains her for a good 30 minutes, which is quite long for a 13 month old. I read that some people were not as impressed with it, but I have not had 1 problem. I would recommend this toy to everyone!

My Daughter's First Maisy BookIf you are the parent of a young child, you probably know who Maisy is. She's a mouse with a duck, a squirrel, an elephant, and a crocodile for friends. Why the crocodile isn't trying to eat the others is beyond me, but that's life in Maisy's world.
Both of my daughters love the Maisy books; there's something about their simple stories and colorful pictures that even appeals to adults. The books are short and easy to read. But, the stories are never obnoxiously simplistic, like so many other books for small children.
This was the first Maisy book we ever bought our oldest daughter. Both of of our daughters still like it as Maisy attempts to take a bath but finds herself interrupted by Tallulah. Not one of my personal favorites, although I really can't explain why. I suspect my children are part fish, so maybe they like it because of that fact and because they love bath time (or any other opportunity to get wet).
Maisy ManiaWe were given this book as a hand me down in a bag of about 50 others. This is my 22 month old's favorite of them all and I'm here to buy more Maisy books. She can't wait until the end when Tallulah jumps in the tub so she can say "no no!" Last night I had to read it to her 3 times in a row! She loves it but I need some variety! :)
Tallulah, You Naughty Thing You!Yep- it's a keeper. Maisy is just so patient and wonderful, as always. But pushy, impatient Tallulah keeps showing up. What can Maisy do?? Nothing, it seems, cause Tallulah is going to do just what she wants, which is play with Maisy. This one caused some concern for my 3-year old son, who wanted to know if I'd be angry if *his* friend, "a girl with braids" came and took a bath with *him*.

Don't waste your moneyI wasted my money when I purchased this....they're cheap, thin and very itchy at least on my skin and I can't even imagine my baby's.....I use them as under sheets and I use this cotton very nice and soft receiving blankets I bought in sears on top and that does it for me.....also I bought other cotton sheets but if too thick then it won't fit good so your better off buying other ones from different brands or just using that one and then somethin else on top.
Not impressedActually, I used the sheets only 1 time...like the other reviewers stated, the fabric is not at all soft, but stiff and rough. And yes, the fabric is very thin. I tried washing the sheets a couple times, but the softness just wasn't there. And like the one reviewer, it seemed to pull up on the floor of the pack and play and pop right off. I ended up just wrapping a soft fleece blanket around the floor mat when the baby was in there (which, thankfully, wasn't very much).

We Own These Sheet and We LOVE them! We own these sheets and they are great specially for my nephew..they seem "thin" but actually they are not to thin...i washed them many times from baby puke...these sheets has saved our travel yard from the evil smell of vomit! and i put a light weight blanket under him (on top of the sheet.) when he was a newborn/1month old...these sheets kept our play yard very clean!! and we love them and will buy more when baby #2 comes! we also have the yellow one and this green one..they both get used daily and washed daily (if puke happens) and we love the easy on and easy off!

Great Toy!My daughter loves her drum! We have several LeapFrog toys and they are all great!
GREAT TOY !!!!MY SON IS 20 MONTHS, AND LOVES THIS TOY, HIS BROTHERS ACTUALLY CALL HIM "BAM-BAM" BECAUSE HE BANGS EVERYTHING, AND HE WILL SIT THERE FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME (15-20 MINUTES) AND BANG ON HIS DRUM, I DON'T THINK HE UNDERSTANDS THE EDUCATIONAL VALUE OF THE TOY, BUT HE IS LEARNING HIS LETTERS AND NUMBERS WITH OUT EVEN KNOWING IT. WE GOT IT ON SALE FOR ONLY 10.00, AND IT WAS DEFINITLY WORTH IT.
Love ItMy son has played with this toy starting at 6mths - to current 9mths. He loves this toy so much that we have two, one at home and one at Grandma's!
The Good:
1. It is fun, still after three months is still a top toy in our home
2. Interactive with the baby.
3. Easy for little hands to hold onto and grab
4. Small enough to pack on trips
5. Has volume control options
6. Very durable
7. Long life batteries. I have not changes them yet.
8. Has different options of play (music, alphabet, numbers, and an actual drum play setting)
9. Has automatic shut off when left alone for a short period of time
10. Has an off switch - big in our home!!!
The Bad:
1. The number setting only goes up to 10. Not too big to me since my son is only 9 mths.

Barbie's Friend Midge with Pregnant Tummy and Baby Doll

WHAT HAPPENED THE "HAPPY FAMILY" DOLL SET?THE TWO MIDGE DOLLS THAT I OWN ARE PART OF A SET CALLED "HAPPY FAMILY". I ALSO OWN THE FATHER AND HUSBAND DOLL, ALAN, AND THEIR LITTLE BOY, RYAN. THEY ARE ALL VERY CUTE. THIS HOWEVER DOES NOT LOOK QUITE LIKE THE MIDEGE DOLLS I HAVE AND I ALSO SEE NO WEDDING RING ON HER FINGER (AS MY MIDGE DOLLS HAVE.) IS THIS A DIFFERENT MIDEG? IS SHE UNMARRIED? I FIND THIS DISTURBING. I LOVE MY MIDGE DOLLS BUT A BIG PART OF THAT WAS THAT SHE WAS MARRIED AND YOU COULD ALSO PURCHASE HER HUSBAND AND SON DOLLS SEPERATELY. I THINK WE NEED TO TEACH OUR LITTLE GIRLS THATIT IS OKAY TO BE PREGNANT BUT ONLY IF AND WHEN YOU ARE MARRIED! LET'S NOT SET ANY MORE BAD EXAMPLES FOR OUR CHILDREN. THEY HAVE FAR TOO MANY ALREADY!!!!!! WHERE IS ALAN??????
Gosh People THIS MIDGE DOES TOO HAVE A WEDDING RING!!!! IF YOUR GOING TO SHOOT YOUR MOUTH OFF PLEASE LOOK AT THE DOLL IN PERSON! I OWN HER AND HAVE PLAYED WITH HER TIME AND TIME AGAIN! SHE DOES HAVE A WEDDING RING. YOU DONT HAVE TO HAVE THE HAPPY FAMILY ALEN TO MAKE IT HER HUSBAND! YOU CAN USE ANY OLD KEN!

Perfect for the future big sister (or brother)!I always knew I wanted a second baby, so this doll was always in the back of my mind. As soon as I told my daughter she was going to be a big sister, I ordered this doll for her. She loves playing with it!
The package says age 5+ but I don't see any reason why a 3 year old can't play with it. My daughter has trouble dressing the doll but does not have trouble removing and replacing the magnetic tummy. She likes to play with the tiny baby and pretend to change it's diaper.
I don't think this doll is going to make dd run out and want to become a mommy, especially once the baby is born and she sees how much it cries. Besides, I tell her you have to be married to be a mommy (she's three, and doesn't know any better). The doll has a wedding ring, so why wouldn't she believe me?
I'm getting her the Barbie Baby Doctor and the Nursery to go along with this for her birthday. Too bad they don't make the dad and older brother any more, I guess I could find them on Ebay if I wanted to.

Butterfly Baby Pool

Wonderful play spot all year round! Also available at [...]. This is an incredibly well-priced baby pool loaded with accessories your little one is sure to enjoy! In warm weather seasons, fill it with water for splashing fun -- please be sure to dump the water out after you're done each time. When the weather turns cooler, bring it inside and fill it with plastic balls you can find in a ball pit -- babies and toddlers, alike, will love this. Mine do!

13" Potty Time Tinkles Baby Doll with Training Guide for Girls & Boys - Pink Dress
Amazon base price: $
Average review score:

Not worth it at all!!!I bought this yesterday preparing my daughter for potty training. I was so excited because of the low price and because you squeeze her tummy to make her "pee". I liked how it gave you potty training tidbits, the party hats and chart. I took her out of the package and gave it to my daughter with the bottle. She couldn't get the bottle in the baby's mouth. But she's only 2 1/2, so I helped her. I couldn't get it in her mouth either! I shoved and shoved, meanwhile, all the water is getting all over her dress. Finally, after some brute force and bribery, I got it in her mouth. I tried to give it back to my daughter, but now she wants no part of it. Okay, now for the peeing. I squeezed and squeezed and couldn't get her to pee. I was convinced I was going it wrong and re-read the instructions. It didn't say anything other than squeeze the tummy. So I squeezed harder and she started to whistle and then spit up. After some violent squeezing, I managed to get one drop out, but now my daughter is so mad that she won't go anywhere near the potty. Fortunately, Toys R Us is letting me return it for something else as long as I have the receipt.
NOT WORTH IT!I took this back the day after i bought it! It was worthless. It was so hard to get the water in the babies mouth, and even the, the baby would not pee the water out. It just sat in the stomach. How gross is that? Can we say MOLD issues here! It also comes with a very small potty for the baby, and i have seen bigger "more sturdy" ones out there. I am going to buy another one that TALKS and says "mommy, pee-pee" and it is magnetic on the babies back and on the potty, so it only pee's when the baby touches the potty.
Seriously, dont waste your 10.00. You will just take it back or upgrade anyways.

TInkles needs to be flushed! I was excited to begin our training by using the doll as a teaching tool. However, Tinkles would not tinkle. I tried giving her several bottles only to see her vomit through her mouth. If I squeeze her tummy very, very, creepily hard I'll get a few drops for her potty. Not the image I want my daughter to learn about how to go potty...or vomiting for that matter.
I appreciate any company who provides a lifetime guarantee. But I honestly feel it is not worth my time, effort, or money to send back this $10 doll. After 3 weeks of waiting for a reply, plus the 4-6 week replacement time, I'd rather put the costs of mailing it back towards a better product. My daughter can find some kind of fun out of this doll I'm sure, but as a potty training doll it is absolutely worthless. I am very disapointed. With a timely matter such as potty training,I would have gladly paid more upfront for a doll that works well the first time. It's time to upgrade the doll or discontinue it....and it's time for me to keep shopping.

THIS WORKS TO CALM HIM WHEN NOTHING ELSE WILL!This is highly recommended...I have found that this calms down my son and helps him go to sleep more than anything else. I won't bore you with a long review, but trust me, it works.
I did take away one star as it really goes through the batteries quickly, no matter what brand I use. The only way to avoid this is to turn it off, instead of assuming it's off when it has shut down after going through the cycle.

I Love, Love, Love this and so does babyWe had the ocean wonders aquarium with my first daughter who refused to give it up when my second daughter was born so I purchased this one because it was on sale and I figured they were all the same. Boy was I wrong, the dreamscape soother is way better. My fussy 6 week old acutally laid in her crib watching the images float by and listening to the music. Before it finished she was fast asleep. This is some feat for a baby that usually takes an hour of rocking, singing, walking around, etc to fall asleep. We are forever greatful. I really love all of the settings, the story and poem settings are really cute. Anyway my oldest daughter is now jealous and wants a soother of her own. Great Buy. As for it eating batteries, they all do that.
Helped With Learning to Sleep I have had this in my daughter's crib since she was born and she has always loved it. When she learned to turn it on she had a blast watching her "tv" go on and off. Now at 9 months (don't wait this long new parents) we've decided to teach her to sleep on her own. Today was our first day and as I put her down for her nap (drowsy but awake for the first time) she protested but then turned to start up her lullabyes on the Dreamscapes Soother. I was out the door when I heard the dreaded sound of the batteries dying. Ugh. Insert entire naptime of baby crying here. But, I changed the batteries and what do you know, baby slept all by herself in front of her "tv".
