Elmo and Cookie Monster - together again.

This toy is cute. When you push Elmo's mouth, he says "Jiggly, Giggly! Ha ha ha ha!" as the ball vibrates. Push Cookie Monster's mouth, and he says "Shaky, Shaky! Ha ha ha ha! Whooooa!" If you pay too much attention to Elmo (press him 3 times in a row) Cookie says "Hello?" Likewise, if you press Cookie 3 times in a row, Elmo says, "Elmo's turn!" Push the two together and they say "Giggle Monsters!" and laugh.

This toy is not very soft (it's not plush) and the inner mechanics make it heavier than you would expect. The eyes and Elmo's nose make it pretty useless for rolling. But the sounds and vibrations make my twin 20-month old boys smile, and they play with it on occasion, but it doesn't keep them occupied for long stretches. As for durability, it appears well-made, but I don't think ours has been used enough to really put it to the test.

Overall, it's cute, but I think I like it more than the boys do.

I give this toy low marks for educational value for two reasons: first, humans were not contemporary to the brontosaurus, and second, the egg is too big to have been laid by the adult dinosaur included in the set. My mother sent this toy as a gift for my son's first birthday. The package suggests this toy for ages 2-5, and in typical fashion, my son found the box to be just as interesting as the toy itself, but my three-year-old daughter was immediately and completely enchanted with the toy. She began role-playing with the dinosaurs right away. "I love you very much," said the mama dinosaur to her baby. Supercute!

I don't think anyone can say that humans weren't around when dinosaurs were unless they were around back then to tell about it now. That information comes from the same people that tell us we came from monkeys...and I'm no ape!

Anyways, I think this toy has a lot of potential to spark your child's imagination. Little boys (and some girls) love dinosaurs and adding a cute little person in with it just makes it even more interesting.

I don't think the size of the egg is any reason to knock off a point for educational value. It is made to fit the dinosaur and if it were the actual size it "should" be compared to the Momma dinosaur, then it would be a choking hazard. In order to create an "accurate" portrayal as this toy clearly does not (Lions, Tigers, and Bears, OH MY!), then the Dinosaur would have to be nearly three times its size for the smaller dinosaur and egg to be a safe size for babies and toddlers. I think we all know who needs the extra point for education.

I have 3 kids who simply love LeapFrog products. The problem is that we live in Mexico so we need to have the choice of language selection in these products.

My boys ages 6 and 3 love this book. It is different in that there is a deck of cards included that can be inserted in the back of the book and then the child can learn different facts about different dinosaurs...ie...how fast...when did he exist...how much did he eat. They love this part, "runs as fast as a chicken" "big as an elephant" it allows them to make a comparison to something they know.

My son loved this book so much that he got up at 6 a.m. the next day (lucky me!) just to play with it. And unlike most toys, this one has stayed close by and been used frequently since then. So this would have been a bargain even at full price. At this discounted price, WOW!

We received the comfy keyboard as a gift for my 20 month old son for Christmas. The description and product reviews here on amazon talk about an Elmo phone and that is incorrect. The Elmo phone is a separate product and I don't know why they have combined the two here. I have contacted amazon about this, but no changes have been made. I would contact them directly if you are interested in purchasing this item to be sure you are getting the right thing.

That being said, by son loves his comfy keyboard. I wanted this for him because he has always been facinated with the computer and I wanted him to be able to play on the computer himself on a level that was appropriate for him. You can see the picture of the comfy keyboard here. You simply plug the keyboard into your computer, pop in the cd that comes with it and after a few driver installations, you are ready to go. The child simply presses the buttons on the keyboard which of course makes different things happen on the screen. The kids can learn a few shapes, colors, animals and musical instruments.

There are three different levels to choose from and a ton of languages too. On the first level, when the purple button is pushed for example, a purple circle flashes up on the screen and some music plays. On level two, the same thing happens but this time a voice says "a purple circle". On level three, the same thing happens, only now dots appear on the circle and it becomes a spotted balloon and a voice comes on describing it.

My son just loves playing with this. I am glad that he enjoys it too. To me, the characters are not very endearing - I wish Disney or Sesame Street had come out with this product - but my son doesn't know the difference. I think all the different language options are great.

A few words of caution. We installed this on an old laptop we don't use anymore. Within a few days, my son had pulled all the keys off of the main keyboard when we weren't looking. I would recommend installing this on a desktop and removing the regular keyboard where little hands can't cause trouble. Also, my son has taken the cd out a few times and "played" with it. Thankfully, it wasn't damaged, but we have learned that this product isn't really something that the kids can play with unsupervised.

This product was very innovative when introduced in 1997-8. It sold at FAO Schwarts for about $100 and we got it for our 18 month old daughter. She used it until she was at least 3 (we then moved to Reader Rabbit). The way it worked then - you plugged the key board into the printer port and the sw was on two CDs. The keyboard did not require mouse skills, just visual selection of very large buttons. Very interactive, very educational for the toddler/preschool set. The developer was Israeli and they did not have good US distribution. It now seems that they finally found someone to distribute it.

I was hesitant to purchase this toy first because my son is a big boy but after reading great reviews I decided to buy it. My son is 7months old so he can sit up but sometimes needs some help. This barnacle boat has so much cushion around it I don't need to put any more cushion around him. I purchase this at marshalls for $59.99.

At first I did not see what was so special about this boat. But now that my son is able to sit up, but occasionally wobbles over -- it's great. It is so cushiony and supportive and he likes to steer the wheel. He is now 7 months and I didn't really see the value of this product until recently. Now we just love it.

This is a cute and durable toy. I love the nice soft courdory and silky nylon mat. The toys are so soft and cute. My lil 3 mth old likes to sit proped up looking and playing with toys. I like it because when he's older he will have a comfy place to sit and play, and even now he can sit proped up instead of being on his back all the time. Its a bit pricey, but I just had to have it and he likes it. I think he will continue to play with it up to 18 mths. So its worth the $$.

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS DOLL! I can find better dolls at the dollar store. This doll does not talk, is made of cheap plastic, arms and legs fall out, I threw this doll away!!!

This is the greatest toy that,well I should'nt call it a toy because of all the realistic functions.If your daughter want one buy it if your name is Tom,Dennis,or Harry.This is very educational for all you little girls out there 10-17.Tom buy one.Dennis buy one.Harry buy one.Their your little girls and they need it.

I'm not sure if I want to own this. It's nice, but I will buy so many dolls that I might skip her. What a cutie! And so many nice accessories to take care of her. She can pretend to drink from her bottle and play with her toys! A great care set with everything you need to take care of baby! Just want to say:
You and Me keeps saying their dolls are "beautiful". It's sickening. These dolls are not beautiful. They are plastic and are nowehere near as beautiful as Zapf, Corolle or Berenguer. That's my rant.
