I bought this for my son's 2nd birthday. He is turning 3 in a few weeks and finally can touch the pedels. This toy should be for 3 and up. It has been basicly sitting on my porch for a year untouched. And the weather here is nice all year. Also a wheel fell off. He barely ever used the bike. now he can reach the pedels and he can't ride it because we have to go buy a cap to hold on the wheel.

This is a fantastic classic trike. It's very sturdy, good-looking, and a lot of fun for a toddler.

The push bar attaches very firmly and is an adjustable length, which means that it works well for parents of all heights. This model doesn't have the "steer using the push bar" feature of other models, but it's simple to take control of the steering by simply pushing down slightly on the bar to take the front wheel of the trike off the ground (taking care that your toddler doesn't slide backwards, of course).

My two-year-old is tall (36") and just reaches the pedals; I wouldn't recommend this particular model for kids under the 36-inch mark if learning to pedal is a goal. My son loves to put his feet on the pedals while an adult pushes the trike using the push bar. I think that's a great combination for kids who are learning to pedal; it lets them get a feel for the motion of pedaling while they're still developing the strength and coordination to be able to take over for themselves.

This tricycle doesn't have all the features of other models (e.g., seatbelts, freewheeling pedals), but I wasn't looking for that in a trike. I was looking for a trike that would start teaching my son a little more independence (e.g., pedaling and steering) as well as teaching him to take some responsibility for his own safety (e.g., wearing a bike helmet, being careful about how he gets on and off). And this trike is small enough that even if he does take a spill, I think it's unlikely that he'd be seriously hurt.

Overall, this is a great, sturdy, old-fashioned tricycle at a great price.

My 21/2 grandaughter was thrilled with her little tricyle it was just perfect for her she had a little two wheeler with training wheels but this is much more age approiate i was amazed how quickly my order arrived thank you

Cute but way too tipsy.My son only wants my husband to push him around because every time he tries to go anywhere on this trike he tips over and also has trouble steering.No fun.Wish I hadn't bought.

I was so impressed with the color and cute look at first but regret so much for buying it because it tips over so easily. If I have another chance, I would look for something that is more balance, wide and low. I will give this toy away soon.

Bought this for our son when he was 18 months old. He's a very physical child and picked up on peddling quite quickly. By 2 yrs old this trike became unsafe. He was going so fast that this trike would constantly tip around corners. Not due to my sons steering but the trike being so "light in the pants". We bought him a 12 inch big boy bike just after his second birthday and he is much safer on that than on this trike.

My daughter got this gift for her first birthday. The book is cute. But for 40 dollars I expect more. There are only 4 puppets and of those only one actually detaches from the book. I feel bad for my friends that bought it for her. Save your money.

Folkmanis, the creator of this puppet Alphabet book, makes wonderful, quality, well-made puppets, and the craftsmanship of this book is no exception. What I was disappointed with, however, was the writing. Each letter of the alphabet is accompanied by a word. Some words hide under "lift-the-flaps" (made of wonderful, krinkly-sounding fabric) and some are implied by the accompanying puppet (for example c has a cat puppet.) I didn't think it would be too hard to write an ABC book, but many words associated with the letters don't seem very well thought-out. For example, the letter K is represented with a "knot." Come on! a word with a silent K? Explain that to a two-year-old! The letter N is associated with "noon" represented by a picture of a clock. My 3 year-old said "N for clock." Then I have to try to explain that the hands are pointing to the 12, thus it is noon on the clock. Not a clear concept to a toddler. The J is associated with a "jacket" which looks like a shirt in the picture -- once again, the toddler says "J for shirt." There are a couple of other questionable letters as well. Cute concept, poor excecution.

We received this as a gift when my son was born 27 months ago. It is the best book we ever read. It has puppets to act out the words, it has lift the flaps with letters on them and it has pictures hidding under each letter. My son and now daughter - 8 months love this book. It is soft and extremely duriable. I highly recommend this adorable book. Have fun with your kids!

In responce to the review that said customer pictures were not of a Rock-a-Bye Chou Chou, you are right and wrong.
A lot of doll artists do what is called "reborning". This is where you take a factory doll such as Chou Chou, or more commonly Berenger, and redo it. Usually they strip and redo all paint, change out the body, root new hair, change eyes, etc.
It IS a Chou Chou still, just a much more realistic version.
If you look at the pictures they will almost always have the artist's name and a link to their website.
I'm impressed that someone could make a Chou Chou look that good.

Hi. I recieved this doll for my 6th Christmas. She was adorable. Now I'm 12. The doll is still cute as ever, but mine stopped working when I was 9. Me and my mom tried everything, new batteries, shaking her a little, but nothing worked. I was very dissapointed. And I haven't been able to play with her for years. I still don't know why she stopped working, it's just wierd. To me. But what cheered me up was while I was on zapf creation.com today, I saw where a new TALKING Chou Chou is coming out soon. That doll is amazing. She says "I love you mommy, your the best mom ever!" and " I'm bored mommy, lets play!" and MORE. Talking Chou Chou has accessories including a carrier and a bed. So look out for her at your local Toysrus or Walmart store.

I always love Chou Chou dolls. I purchased two about five years ago. Love the softness and cuddly feelings of it. I bought clothes for them and let them sit on a little chair in front of the fire place. They look and feel like real babies. My girls love them also. I bought this one for my best friend after she saw mine at my house. She now also love hers. Best dolls you can find in the market.
