i had a very hard time getting mine full with water...it said to remove valve...when i did that is was sealed shut so no water would go in....i'm sure my son would like it if i could get the water in....

My baby does not like this toy at all. I wanted to stimulate her, by helping her push up better, and getting her upper body stronger, and I thought the mat looked like fun. Every time I lay my little girl on it she starts to cry within seconds. She seems so uncomfortable on the prop that she doesn't even take the time to discover the hanging toys, or bother with the swimming creatures. It's also a pain to have to take what little free time I have in the day after she goes to sleep, to empty and refill the water cushion with sea creatures. Additionally the water creatures stick together really easily while you are filling the toy, and they are hard to get apart. I wouldn't bother with this one.

My daughter LOVES this! She wouldn't spend much time on her tummy in the Einstein gym but I put her on this mat and she'll spend about 15 minutes playing with the attached toys. She also likes to lay face up on the bolster just looking around. The other GREAT thing about this is that it travels so well! It packs up easily so we've taken it on trips to have a little piece of home with us and gives us a great place to have our daughter hang out in an unfamiliar or not a baby friendly place. We highly recommend it!

My 2 year old has had this for about 6 months and loves it! It is a way she can color without my constant worrying that she will color on the rest of the house. It is so great to use ONLY water to refill it and it gives hours and hours of fun!
I only wish it came with more than one "marker."

We bought this toy when our boy/girl twins were 15 months. They get it out everyday and are already drawing circles and trying to trace my drawings. We enjoy playing "guess what I'm drawing" together. It is really fostering a love of writing and drawing at a young age. I only wish I had had it when my 6 year old was younger. I don't know who has more fun, the adults or the kids!

this is a great toy!!!! I have 2 girls ages 5 and 2, they always make a mess with makers etc. they always leave the lids off. with this toy there is NO MESS, you fill the pen with water and go at it. the only complaint is that the toy only comes with one pen.(you can buy extras). I only wish that I had bought this toy earlier. it is wonderful. I can't say enough good things about this product. when my mother saw it, she said that she wished they had this when we were growing up (me too).

I bought this for my baby when she was about a month old, and she loved it until she was around 5 months - when she started sitting unassisted. She would stare at herself in the mirror and eventually was able to reach and pull down the toys.
My only complaint is once she began to reach for the toys and get them down, she would naturally chew on them. The pictures on the hanging toys are stickers and even without teeth my baby would mouth the sticker and would end up with loose pieces in her mouth.

i bought this for my 2 month old son, he LOVES it! i had originally bought another fisher price playmat (barnyard) and it was way too overstimulating for him. this has gentle music and is slow moving so he can easily follow the petals and not get over stimulated. i also like that you can activate the mobile without the music. he loves the mat for tummy-time also. the toys hang at just the right level and can also be adjusted accordingly. he rolled over for the first time while looking at the toys! i would highly recommend this. it has all the benefits of a playmat and more. he laughs and talks at himself in the mirror and can stay entertained for an hour sometimes! LOVE IT!!!

We bought this for my 2 month old daughter and it was the only thing she will lay under and get her attention. She is 4 months now and still likes it. The only complaint I have is that the panda mat is hard to connect and it does take up a bit of room. But over all we are happy and so is Anna.

we have hardwood floors so i bought this together with Playzone. i'm pleased with these mats --these made it safe for the frequent falls my baby went through when he was learning to crawl and pull himself up. now i put these mats beside his bed, softening his occasional 'dreamy falling off' his bed.

These play mats are great for outdoors. I bought several packs and put my daughters play house, slide, sandbox and etc on them. You can hose them off. We leave them out all year long, and they held up great through the winter. They don't ever look worn. I just went and bought more to extend the play area.

These playmats are fantastic. They have cushion and yet are sturdy and durable. My son chews these mats like candy and yet they have kept their shape. They are great for little new crawlers that need alittle padding and resistance for their little knees. [...]

Just a warning to new parents thinking of playmats. We have three sets (large family) and these are our favorite by far. All the other sets we have have shapes and numbers in them that come out. It is a huge pain when our son plays w/ these mats because you end up on your knee's trying to find the missing pieces all the time. Save your back, money, and time and just buy whole pieces without all the fancy decor (letters,numbers,animals, elct.) that comes out, they just end up missing or on the other side of the room out of the mat for you to pick up and figure out where it goes in the mat. Also the pieces get old and when you move the mat around all the pieces fall out everywhere, everytime you move it you have to put the whole puzzle back together.

I original bought this for an extra B-Day present to have. It was on sale for $5 with free shipping. When I received it I had to try it out. I have 2 boys 4 and 6 and they love it. My older one loves the adding/subtracting problems. What a fun way to learn by stepping on the mat to hear the silly sound if you are correct. My younger one is learning how to identify his letters and numbers. They play with it for hours on end. I wish I had bought more for that price.

I returned both that I ordered because the playmat was not included in the item as advertised. I am very unhappy with the item's advertising.

The Buried Treasure playset, as well as the Haunted House, were bought as Christmas gifts for my 3 1/2 yr old son. Both my son and 1 1/2 yr old daughter love them! My son can play it by himself, but my daughter just pushes the car up and pushes the buttons to make the sounds. These are the first toys the 2 yr old boy I babysit plays with! My only complaint is that it doesn't work well with any other matchbox or hotwheels cars--only the cars it comes with. It's hard for the younger kids to understand that. Overall, the kids love it and it keeps them busy!

I bought this for my son for Christmas after he saw it advertised in a magazine. He has been playing with it almost non-stop since then. It is loud and somewhat intricate but easily masterable by small kids. It also connects with other Matchbox sets and comes with a mat for layout. Based on my boy's interest and use so far, this rates 5 out of 5.

This case is useless. It came with a very small strawberry shortcake pendant (and no chain to actually wear it). I did purchase some figures for this and they do not fit it properly. They only fit in the compartments if they are lying down. The compartments fall out too easily also. My daughter rec'd this for Christmas and it has sat on a shelf and not been played with at all.

When I ordered this playset I thought it had "dolls" and would have items in it to actually use. It had one tiny strawberry shortcake doll and that was it. It was pretty much a carrying case for all the other stuff that we have not obtained yet. My daughter just looked at me like, "what do I do with this?" big dissapointment for her and me. Somewhat misleading in the product description.

you are not very nice mr or mrs Watts. shame on you for calling your review "a perfect way to make fat kids fatter". who says fat kids will get fatter? this toy doesnt promote fatness. the reviewer who said "we use our manners to order the food and you certaily don't see a lot of that nowadays!" is so right. you are rude, Watts. dont come on amazon until you can learn to respect people and behave. you need a slap on the wrist.

This toy has been getting alot of attention from my 7 year old!!

Hi! We bought this for our (then) four year old son last year for Christmas. He still plays with it. Although it feels a bit like cheap plastic, it's very durable. (nothing has broken in a year!! and with a now five year old boy who still plays with it, that's saying something!) All the pieces fit nicely inside (except for the mat thing, but my son doesn't use that.) Well made. This is great for pretend play. I noticed one reviewer didn't like this product solely for what it represented. Personally, I would PREFER a toy like this, as opposed to action figures that promote violence, and crash em cars. My son and I pretend with these, and use our manners to pretend order - which a lot of people don't have these days! I'm rambling, back to the review. Comes with a lot of pieces that are extras - sign, trash bin, etc. My son basically plays with the people and the restaurant. The only drawback is something I notice with every brand of every playset on the market - when closed up for storage, pieces can fall out the openings. On the plus side, they usually don't. For the price, it's a good value. I would recommend it!

I bought these for our tile floors, so my baby could have a soft place to play. Well these ate so convenient, as they are large, you can just pull out 2, and have an easy place for some quick tummy time. We keep 4 on our patio, ready to go for when we are all out by the pool too! There are no edges, but from what I hear from other moms, the edges end up as chew toys for babaies, and dogs!

These are a great product to have for children when you have hard flooring. I have tile through out my home and in her room she has a window seat and she loves to sit up there and one day she fell off the seat and landed on the mats and she got right up and said "O Mama" and got right back up on her window seat.Did I mention she is 1 1/2 years old and very active. There comfy to sit on and we play legos and runs her cars on it with no problems. She has never tripped or fell on them and they are easy to keep clean.
I just feel better that she is a safer with the mats then nothing at all.

fantastic item to use for tummy time and then play time with a baby who refluxes! Our little girl is a a happy spitter and these are fantastic protectors of our floor - our carpets are happy and so is she as they are great to crawl on! Highly recommend - just wish we got them a little sooner
