Not sureMy six year-old received this for his birthday and hasn't given it a second glance. But he was the same with Lincoln Logs a while back and now loves them. So I haven't given up hope yet.
Classic for a reasonBrilliant. Simple, easy to use creatively, encourages practice with spatial relations and engineering.. My (currently four year old) son plays with his Tinker Toys all the time. He never seems to get sick of these!
3 Year Olds Favourite Toy When shopping for xmas presents I wanted to buy a "building" set and I was recommended that Tinkertoys were very popular in the USA - I am a brit so never really knew what this toy was.
Not wanting to do lego's yet, but wanting something better than megablocks as we had outgrown them alreadythought what the heck and bought it a box of Tinker Toys for my son.
I can honestly say it was the best [...] we spent that year. He has played with this by himself, or with his dad or/and me, who have built all the toys on the box ! Its a really fun toy.
BRILLIANT !!
and the large box is enought btw to build things, and also, just enough pieces that they dont get lost and will get picked up each time.
Also great size pieces as younger than 3 cant swallow anything, but intriguing enough for the older kiddies to build with :}

Playdoh Fun With Food Kitchen

Cute idea but not steady or STURDY enoughThere's little to criticize about Play Doh as far as a fun, squooshy and classic toy to spark imaginative playtime for youngsters; however, this pretend kitchen leaves much to be improved upon. First off, the table on the side does not stay put. The leg is constantly tipping over with the slightest movements, making it frustrating to set up. The cookie press is fun to create various shapes, but the receptacle doesn't hold much dough, so after about half an inch of squeezing out the design, you need to clean it out and refill. The recipe cards offer creative and fun to make dishes, and the utencils are cute, but I doubt most children can really enjoy hours with this toy.
Fun for all.....My daughter got this for x-mas and she really likes it a lot. She doesn't use the table because it doesn't stay on very well. And to tell you the truth we had a hard time putting the table on. DUH!!!
The press to make shapes does not work well at all. More play doh comes out of the sides then comes out in shapes. For the price kids will like it. But don't expect to much.

Hours of entertainmentI got this for my 3 year old nephew at Christmas time and he still plays with this for hours. This is the one creative toy for a kid that will keep them entertained for a long time.

HUGE fun and really LOUDThis toy has been such an enormous hit at our house, it's hard to complain about it: we have children ranging from age 1 to age 7, and they ALL play with it, with great delight. BUT, it's so LOUD! It's like running a hair dryer or air popcorn popper, plus the frantic music and silly noises. It drives me nuts after about thirty seconds. But they LOVE it. I guess I'd call this a "play with it in your room with the door closed while Mommy puts a wet washcloth on her forehead" toy: worth every single penny, but a parental love sacrifice to allow it in the house.
The best toyWhen my son got it at his first birthday party, I thought it was more of a baby toy but he loved it. He is now 20 months and still loves it. Best toy that he's had yet and we have many!
They LOVE ITMy boys love this toy! We have had it for 3 years now and it holds up very well!! Every time kids come over to play this is what they always want to play with! It is very durable!! Way worth the money!

My kids love it!My 6 year old daughter got this for a gift and she loves it... as much as my 2 year old son does! My 2 year old loves the encouragement the game shouts out as he plays. A fun toy for multiple ages.
Fun for allI love skee-ball, so when I saw this in the store I wanted it for me. Luckily my son also loves skee-ball, so I was able to call it a gift for him. We play with it often, especially when his friends come to the house. It can be played by anyone at any skill level, and we often have players whose ages range by thirty years. I do wish that the balls stayed in the game a bit better, but otherwise this is a well designed, fun game.
good toy for child and adultI just bought it from toysrus for my 3-year old son.He likes it so much.He plays with it for long time. This toy can really help child to improve the ability of the hands. For adult,it is also a very cool toy.All our families love it very much.

My Little Boy Loves ThisWe got this at 3 months. He loved it then, and now at 1.5 yrs, he still cuddles up with it.
13-month-old son LOVES itWe bought gloworm for a trip, so our son would have something new to comfort him at night along with his old crib toys. He was immediately mesmerized by it. We don't feel it's too loud, but our gloworm has a hat with two points intead of one like the picture. So, maybe ours is a different version? We like the fact that one song plays at a time, instead of continuous play. Our son will press the belly and play different songs for 10-15 minutes before snuggling up and dozing off. It also has a "nightlight only" setting, but we don't use it.
One cautionary thought???? Some people on the Target review page said that ToySafety.net said it was dangerous, because the face "could" be toxic. I guess if my son was younger and still chewing on things I would double check with Hasbro if that is true. My son doesn't eat his toys anymore, and we LOVE gloworm. We are not giving him up!

Good ol glowomI bought this for my daughter because I remembered them from when I was little and because my niece had one but lost the battery pack. My daughter loves it and she's had it for almost five months (she's eight months old). She gets deliriously happy when I bring him out. She loves to teeth on him and cries if you take it away from her. It doesn't help get her to sleep... in fact it keeps her from going to sleep and I don't like that you have to press his tummy for each song instead of them all playing continuously with one press but for $10 this toy is a great one.

Dusty The Talking Vacuum

good purchaseI did a lot of research online to find a play vacuum. It does state the vacuum does not pick up dirt. I was looking for something adequate for a 17 mos old (at the time) and a "real" vacuum would not have been appropriate then. My daughter is almost 2 (in 2 weeks) and she got this from Santa. She absolutely loves it. We can hear the voices just fine and it does have an off switch. My daughter just now complains that the REAL vaccum is "too loud" so I tell her to get her vacuum and she does...she loves it. She only plays with hers when I have the big one out. This is one of the few play vacuums that's the right size for 17-18 mos olds. At almost 2 it still fits my daughter just right.
An excellent purchase for little helpersMy 22-month-old adores this vaccuum. He loves to vaccuum right alongside me and my husband when we are using the real vaccum, and begs "one more time" when we turn the real one off. I can see where the novelty might wear off quickly with some children, but if your child has shown any interest in being a little helper with chores around the house, I would highly recommend this toy.
The audio is fairly soft, but I appreciate that it is not obnoxiously loud (like some of his other toys). Even though the audio is a bit muted, it is still very intelligible ("This place is a pigsty!").
My son would have one minor complaint about the vacuum: The attchment piece does not snap securly into place on the body of the vacuum--meaning that the hose piece frequently flaps around unsecured. This does not hinder the use of the vaccuum at all, but it did frustrate my son at one point when he tried in vain to get the hose to stay secured.

My daughter loves this vaccuumMy daughter is 2, and LOVES this vaccuum! It's durable, she loves that the pieces talk to one another and that she can vaccuum with mommy now!!! She vacuums with me and takes her attachment and vacuums with it also. I think if you have a child that loves to clean, this toy is a must! VERY durable, very fun!!!

Pretty good grillin'My 2 1/2 year old likes this toy reasonably well because he can grill like daddy. But there are supposed to be "50 phrases" that the grill says depending on what items are on the grill or in the holders...and we have heard only about 8 phrases total. That is getting a little tedious. (In fact, my son asked me to "turn it off".) But he is still cooking for us and is still interested in playing with it. I will be going to the store and picking up a few more little plastic foods for him, as I am getting tired of eating hamburgers and dogs!
lots of fun! This grill has a lot of things to say and my kids love playing with it. It does randomly go off when nobody is playing with it though. It's also kind of loud with the lid up. Overall we really like it!
Great Toy!My 2 and a half yr old son loves this toy. We got it for him a couple of days ago and he loves "cooking" hamburgers and hot dogs for mama and dada to eat, very durable, my son drags it around the room with him, I highly recommend!!

Great addition to the Mr. Potato Head familyMy husband received this for a gag present, and my 3 year old daughter loves it. It's by far her favorite of her Mr. Potato head collection, along with Spudtrooper. I'm not sure if it's the lightsaber or the cape, but something about this toy captivates her. If you're a Mr. Potato Head fan, whether young or old, this is a must have. We're looking forward to adding Artoo-Potatoo to the family when he's available also. :)
Hey Get the kid over 12 a toy!!!!!!Yes, The Big kids will love that you remember them and remember them with a Star Wars kitsch type toy!!!! It is a bedroom delight for the eye that collects grins and dust!!!!
The funniest thing I ever sawOk I bought this for my son's three year old birthday, When I first saw it I knew I had to have it because one it was too funny DARTh Tater. We have the original anyway, My son plays with this when ever he gets out the rest of his star wars stuff and it is sooooo durable. He throws, drives trucks over it. The only thing is that the cape is alittle bit hard for him to put on, But he loves it just the same.
