My kids love these blocks
My son received these blocks as a first b-day gift and they have been a favorite of his and any kid who enters our home. They are extremely durable(they hold up to standing on them)and can be used to create all sorts of things. My 4 year old is constantly creating "castles" and "houses" for her dolls and stuffed animals. My 22 month old delights in knocking them over and is now starting to stack them on his own. We make a game out of putting them away in the clear bag they came in. We store them behind a chair in our living room and almost daily my son climbs on the chair and looks over and points that he wants to play with them. I highly recommend this toy for children 18mos - 6 years.

Awesome idea for little boy
I only wish there were more blocks. My son who is 3 has enjoyed them and continues to enjoy them and build build build. Love these blocks.

WONDERFUL!
My husband and I are the kind of parents that used to think the loud flashy light toys are the best. These blocks proved us wrong. My husband ordered these blocks last year for Christmas when he was oversees among many other toys. She was only nine months so she recieved them so she just held them and chewed on them. I would stack them for her and she had a blast knocking them down. We took them out again when she was 1. She is now 17 months and hasnt stopped playing with them. They come with a plastic see through backpack for storage so she loves to put them in and take them out. She stacks them on top of each other as high as she can and then rolls over laughing after she knocks them down. And all of those expensive loud flashy toys are still sitting there collecting toy dust.

Buyer beware...
At first I thought these where the greatest invention since Legos and Mega blocks but after playing with them I was slightly disappointed. I really would have given it 5 stars if they weren't hallow on the inside. Also you really need to buy at least 2 or 3 sets since you really can't build much of anything with 22 blocks. Then there is the problem with storage.

PROS:
-Soft yet durable (feels like smooth foam)
-Great colors
-Light weight and easy to hold
-Comes in a clear plastic container. It is a tight squeeze to get them all back in. I would look for something else to store them in if they are going to be used on a daily basis. Most children do no have the patience to put them back in exactly the same way every time.

CONS:
-They are hollow on the inside so they don't `snap' together like Mega Blocks or Legos.
-Each piece must sit directly on top of the same size block or a bigger block otherwise it will tip over.

Chicco blocks
This is a great toy. My son loves "building something" and plays with them all the time.

Wonderful quality toy
I was impressed with the quality of these blocks. They are very well made. I found then to be great for babies and toddlers because of the rounded edges. They are not not sharp like mega Blocks. Great product.

Fun toy with limitations...
Our 11 month old has been playing with this toy since he was 6 months old. He really likes the lights, sounds and music. However, I was disappointed that the stacker is shaped like a cylinder so you can put the stars on in any order you choose. So it does not teach children that the big star goes on the bottom and get smaller as you go up. Also, the star that goes on top is cute, but it almost never gets used in conjuction with the stacker. It didn't take long for our baby to figure out that you just have to press the button on the top to get the music to play.

One of Tyler's favorite toys!!
We bought this toy for our baby's first Christmas, and he is over 2 now, and still loves it. He likes to take the stars off, and play the music. We call it his music stick, which he carries allllll over the house spinning to the music until he falls. The lights just make it even better to him. A great toy, not too expensive toy.

Great Toy!
This toy is great. It plays music, it has fun lights, bright colors and is educational. Also, the base is fantastic because it never falls over. My son loves to play with the stacking pieces on thier own, he bangs them together and is just learning to put them on the holder by himself. The only issue we had was the lights and sound buttons on the side stopped working for a few days until my husband realized one was stuck. Other then that - Five Stars!

    Quality Learning
This is quite a step up from the basic ring stacker that so many toddlers are fond of! I like the fact that the child can stack the pieces in various orders. They are not confined to ordering the pieces by size. This product should provide months, if not years, of experimenting and learning for my 2-year-old. Valuable for teaching early math concepts.

My only complaint is that close supervision is an absolute must with this toy. The long wooden poles pose a threat in my mind. Falling onto this toy, or waving the base around could result in injury. I will only allow my child to play with this toy in a seated position and only with me close by.

All in all, this is a very educational manipulative with plenty of play potential. Great for learning basic colors, too!

    No batteries! Yay!
I bought this for my 18 month old daughter who loves her plastic fisher-price ring stacker. She loves this one more. She will play with this toy for an hour and she has already learned how to reverse the order of the pieces and moves them from post to post.

    This a favorite!
I am highly recommending this toy because the little pieces don't have to go on the pole in a set order. The pole is a dowel and the holes in the rings are all the same size thus the child can get them all on at a much earlier age - doesn't need to understand biggest ring first. Secondly, it's size allows it to fit in a carry-bag for a toy on the run; I used it as entertainment in restaurants easily. Thirdly, I am still using it because now we are into learning colors. It was well worth the investment.

      great educational toy
my 2 year old daughter loves it every time she plays with it. she tries to stack them up one by one and make the tallest tower! she still does not know the concept of separating the colors in rows or single colored columns, but it is a great beginning tool for going to nursery!

      Easy to make tall towers
Which is the most interesting thing about this set right now for our 2 year old. He appreciates the patterns mom and dad make but for him, it is all about how tall he can stack the pegs. And they go pretty high without falling over, so he loves it and is content to play with it for surprisingly long periods of time. Also the pegs are easy for little fingers to manipulate which is a big plus.

I look forward to his noticing and building patterns as he gets older.

Some other reviewers complained about the set being wobbly but we haven't had that problem.

      simple toy for busy children
I love simple toys for busy children (as opposed to busy toys for simple children). This one really fits the bill. It is great for fine motor manipulation, and the bright colors are a treat. My two year old loves this toy and will spend hours playing with it. The first thing he did was stack the pegs until they were tall enough to fall over. He is determined to get all the pegs into one tall stack. It is especially great (along with other Lauri toys) for integrating my 2 year old preschooler into my homeschool routine. Even my teenager likes to play with it.

Too expensive for what you get
I purchased this toy from Marshall's and it broke the second day my daughter had it. It is supposed to make a noise when turned over and that broke. Don't waste your money. My daughter loves the plain stacker from fisher price.

It makes my 4-month-old stop crying!
We got this toy as a gift. When my 4-month-old son is crying, we put him in his bouncer and move this stacker toy up and down in front of him. Moving it from upside down to rightside up creates a funny noise that he loves. He'll stop crying to look up at it. Then we shake it and he laughs. Then we hand it to him and he "plays" with it by touching the little animals that hang off the sides. He drops it after a couple of minutes but he loves it.
