This is a very durable toy, however the turning radius is awful and as a result, the scooter is not very functional. My 5 year old got it for his birthday, tried it out a couple of times and hasn't touched it since. When he tries to ride it, he can only go in a straight line since you can barely turn the handlebars. Also, the platform is very high and that makes it dangerous for a young child who is lifting their foot on/off the ground to push the schooter. I am very disappointed in this product.

When my husband and I bought this scooter for our 3 year old son, I was hesistant in his reaction and use of it. But, once he got on the scooter, I couldn't get him to stop playing with it. It actually assisted him in coordination between pushing with his foot, holding onto the bars and going going going! I recommend this for all 3 year old boys! I am expecting my second child and will definitely assume she will be enjoying this scooter in a few years as well!

After purchasing this gift for my 3 year old nephews b-day, my sister-in-law informed me she thought he might be to young for it but upon receiving the gift, she emailed me telling me how wrong she was and had apparently mis-judged her son. She explained she couldn't get him off of it and he loved it. I have since received two videos via email with him riding his scooter around and he is so happy and seems to be having a lot of fun.

We have two of these for my triplets. It's ok. It's small though, better for a smaller child. The walking part with it left a bit to be desired. The wheels don't roll smoothly and there isn't allot of room for them to walk when pushing it. Early walkers still have a wider stride so they need more room. There's not allot of seat room. It fits my tinier daughter but not my larger son. It has no gut room for him. So it's ok for a tinier child.

I just bought this for my ten month old son. He just started to take steps on his own so I thought this might help. He is able to pull himslef up with it and uses it on our hardwood floor too. It did take him a couple of tries to pull himself up without tipping it over but now he has no problems.
He has not used it as a ride on toy yet. Be careful when installing the antenna if done improperly it will get in the way when used as a ride on toy.
I would suggest this toy.

As soon as i put it together he started walking with it.Its great!!

I bought this as a gift to give to my daughters friend, but now that we've gotten it and I see the packaging I won't be able to do that. It's in a plain black and white box with all the figures shoved in together. They're still good toys and my daughter will love them, but its not appropriate for giving as a gift unless its in combination with the doll house I guess.

I agree with a previous review that the packaging dosen't allow this product to be given as a gift for another child, but it was a wonderful gift for my own. There were so many pieces and they were all wonderful. It would have cost me double the amount easily if I were to by them individually in the store.

I am three years old and I received these characters for my birthday. I love them so much that they come to bed with me each night. I pretend play with them everyday. I love Dora so much and think these toys are awesome. It is nice that they come separate because my mommy and daddy can't afford the big Dora house.

I had bought the scooter for my 2 1/2 yr.old grandson. My daughter was very pleased with it. And my grandson used it,and even glided along with it. Before this, he had not ridden a scooter.I would recommend this scooter for a young child.

I waited for the price to come down on this and now wishing I had purchased months ago! I bought it for my 4 year old girl, and she couldn't be more pleased! Her 7 year old brother also loves it although he's a bit heavy for it. She zooms all over the house (nice soft wheels on hardwood) and we go around the block, downtown, you name it. She can easily work the brake and she is the perfect size for the handle. It's lightweight and flexible. Her physical confidence has soared with this scooter and it's just too cute to watch her zoom around with the big kids. They, of course, are all wanting a larger version of the same type, so maybe Preschool needs to think to a bigger kid version....

This scooter was very easy for my 3 year old to use. He got on and started using it immediately. I love the fact that it turns with ease and it stays upright when he is finished using it. I am very happy with this purchase.

I bought this scooter for my six year old,unfortunately some nuts fell apart roughly 4 months after, all efforts to fix it prove abortive. I really like the features, but it did not last.

My daughter loves this scooter. I love it for it's durablity, and that it's grown with her height.

This was a great buy. My girls are 4 and 7 and they love this toy! It packs easy for travel. Scooters fold and unfold easily in a minute! Attractive color. Durable build. Even the adults had to try out the new toys--nothing broke like I feared! Nothing marred or dented! Helmets and elbow/knee pads are recommended. My 4 needed them for sure! Rolls easily so be careful of unskilled kids on sloping pavements. Perfect Christmas gifts this year!

My daughter and I just opened Dora, with her puppy and Backpack. Doras head is scratched very badly, and she barely stands on her own, put Backpack on her and forget it. I love Fisher Price toys, but I'm afraid to open the other two packages that I bought. My daughter is crying out of frustration right now. I wish we had chosen a different toy.

We had to buy this last year to accompany our daughter's new talking house we got her because its not dora without backpack (the dora that comes with the house is sans backpack)!She absolutly adores this set because of backpack being included! this toy would be hard to break, because it is(i dont know what you would call it)like a hard/ soft mold... it could easily become a dogs fave chewing toy, though! Anyway, this is a must even without the talking house. my daughter loves it!

P.S. this toy does not talk or interact with other figurines when inside the talking house like the loving family townhome..
i thought when i saw this T.V., that the charecters did interact!

dont belive the reviews saying its bad maybe you broke it or it fell on the florr it is very durable i am 14 (i no its weird) i love dora this toy rules for dora fanatics like me or others

My daughter loves this scooter because it has Dora on it. It was a gift for her birthday. Unfortunately, it has been shedding parts since we got it. At first glance you could tell that the parts of the scooter are of poor quality and cheaply manufactured. My husband assembled it easily but the lights on the sides keep falling off (it comes already attached to the scooter and wasn't something we assembled). After 2 weeks of light use the wheels look like they are starting to fall apart. Also, the actual board on the scooter where the kids put their feet is very small. There is hardly enough space for my daughter's foot. My daughter Loves Dora and Boots design on the scooter but other than that is it a very poor quality toy at an expensive price.

I bought this scooter for my 2.5 yr old to learn to "scoot" because she is not able to ride a trike yet. She does like how this scooter has lights on the bottom, but overall, I do not feel this is a well made scooter for the price. If it were 9.99 or even 19.99 I would say its about right. I'm not trying to bash the Dora scooter, but would not pay full price again. Oh and when it shipped, a piece that was already assembled on the wheel was cracked. I could have sent it back, I think it is just aesthetic, but she had already seen it and was going nuts to ride it. And she has learned to "scoot".

I purchased this scooter at half-price, even though I was worried I may be purchasing a dud after reading the reviews. Well, it was worth every dollar I paid for it! This scooter is so cute and adorable, more so than the picture shows! It has plenty of room for my almost 3 year old's foot, and my five year old's as well, so I don't understand why someone said that there wasn't much foot room unless their child has unusually large feet. I can't wait to take my girls around the neighborhood block with this cool, new scooter!

My son just received this as a 3rd birthday gift. It seems very sturdy, was easy to assemble, and the handlebar height is in fact, adjustable. Always use knee pads and helmet with this - just incase.

My Grandmother bought this Sizzlin Cool brand scooter for my son's 4th birthday. He loves it!

What I like:
It has 2 wheels in the back so he can balance it and not fall off...even my 2yr old rides on it.
Color scheme is perfect for a boy. (blue and yellow)
The handle bars and foot pad have a grip.
The tires are a neat see thru clear rubber with blue design.
Assembly was pretty easy.

What I don't like:
The handle bars are NOT height adjustable.
The plastic cover on the neck to cover all the connectors and screws always pops off.
Could have been priced a little cheaper for a simple scooter. Grandma paid $20, I think $10-15 is more of a fair price.

Overall, I think it is durable at least it has withstood the roughness of my 2 guys. It is very cute, but has no extra bonus features. Although it doesn't adjust to grow with my older boys, it will be handed down to my 3rd son when he is old enough to use it.

We have noticed that the Barbie products are made much better than the Princess products and this protective gear is no different. We felt they fitted well and were easy to put on. We definitely recommend any Barbie product over Princesses.
