This is a great beginner scooter for a [...], my son is [...] and he does just fine with it, very easy to put together and has a sound just like the real siren. He get much play out of this. Price was a little steep than others were, but for the fireman enthusist, its a perfect match!

Pooh Scooter is amazing. It looks very cute. Designed very well and attractive. It got light bulb in the base. My 3 yr old daughter loves it.
It was very cheap at amazon .. shipping charge was more that the cost of the scooter. Generally I had a very good shopping experience at amazon.com but this product shipped to me clearly looked used. Sticker were put on the scooter. Box was damaged and lots of packing tapes on it. I think someone had retured it.
I called customer service to complain. They asked me to return the product, but my daughter loves this toy and she didn't allow me to return it. So, the customer service refunded me 50% of the cost.

WE jsut bought this for my 3 1\2 year old.
SHE loves it!
It was VERY easy to put together.
It has a great sized basket for all her little stuffed friends.
It is sturdy and stable.
I really like that the scooter "board" surface is textured to give your child some grip if they happen to have wet shoes.
And the light up is just a neat bonus feature!
My only whiney minor complaint is that some of the stickers werent on well, or bubbley, but hey I'll take a decent scooter over perfect stickers anyday.

This was an un-birthday present from grandma and she got it right. :) My [...] has played with it every day since it arrived. It took less than 1/2 of an hour for me to put it together and is sturdy when completed. I only needed a phillps screwdriver in addition to the supplied materials.

There are flashing lights along each side, with an on/off switch for each set located on the bottom. The basket is nice and deep, perfect for a tag along doll friend or whatever your child needs. The base is wide and the scooter stands up well by itself, so far it's only toppled over when helped by my daughter.

I'm very pleased with this toy and I know my daughter loves it. I'd definitely recommed it for any age-appropriate child as a good starter scooter.

This was a Christmast gift. It broke on the SECOND use and the company has been horrible about responding to my request for service. After failing to return at least two emails they promised to send a replacement part. That was over a month and 1/2 ago and I haven't heard from them. I emailed them again and they didn't respond. For a supposedly high end company (some of their toys sell in the thousands of dollars) their customer service is deplorable. I have an unusable scooter and an upset five year old.

I purchased the groove n go scooter as a Christmas gift 12/2005 for my 4yr old she was impressed with the look and the features , but she complained that it was too slow because it only goes about 2.5mph. and it is slow i wish I would have purchased on that atleast goes 5mph for her but overall good for the price

This scooter would be great...if the training wheels didn't get in the way of a little boy's acceleration. In the natural movement of pushing this scooter with his foot, my 4 year old's foot gets caught up in the training wheels - making it not so fun.

Doesn't anyone do product testing with their target market anymore? This scooter would do fine for older kids without the training wheels, but for younger kids, it just doesn't work out.

It says this scooter is good for kids 3 and up. But it is definitely not designed for the kid at 3-year-old. The supporting wheels keep hitting my son's heels.

But I have to say the quality is very good. It uses metal parts instead of plastic. It has a nice designed brake.

So if you want it for bigger kids, like 5 years old, this will be a good buy. But for a 3-year-old, it's a no-go.

I am 16 and I tried this out at the park a few days ago. This thing is so fun to ride! It can lean side to side, and the front turns, all indenepently so you can choose how much to bank in a turn. I don't understand why this is being sold at Toys 'R' Us, considering it's something that would appeal more to adults. You can get into the high 30s if you found a big enough hill.

The wheels are the only problem, whether to cut production costs or save kids lives by reducing speed, it does hamper it's abilities to carve since they are made of plastic.

If you really plan to buy this, and want it to go as smooth and fast as possible, find a shop that sells Longboarding Wheels (prefferably Sector 9) that are 70mm or above, stick them on this thing and it will be a much smoother, faster, and grippier ride.

I suggest no one under 12 ride this down any big hills. I seriously think they would kill themselves unless supervised by someone who could stop them.

My son got this for his 8th birthday and is having a blast! It is very easy to put together (took me less than 10 minutes). It is like a combination of skateboard, scooter, mountain board, etc. He has been on it every day since he got it. Its also good exercise and can really pick up speed. Definitely a good buy.
