I bought this for my 6 year old daughter. She can ride a two wheeled bike and is an active girl. She is just mastering roller blades. She rode this scooter with no trouble and found it fun. As you pick up speed you need to work more on balance. Turns get trickier too. At low speed even the most cautious kid can master it. Don't ignore the age range on this it will probably be too small for an 9 or 10 year old as the handle bars are not adjustable. Its larger cousin the Fusion is a bit too much for a 6 year old this one is a perfect fit. This is not a preschool toy. Possibly a pre-kindergartner or a kindergartner to 2nd grader but most 2nd graders could handle the Fusion nicely. It helps to teach balance and is a great fitness incentive. It would be a great precursor to a skate board. At this price it is missing the telescoping handle and the folding mechanism, but this scaled down version still has all the fun and action built into it. Now if I could just get her to stop riding it in the house. Oh and it arrived in our Bay Area home with in 24 hours of the order being placed. So us west coasters can use normal shipping and have it quickly.

My son loved the blue version of this toy. He was never really steady on the regular razors, so this one game him the confidence to even try it. Unfortunatly, while on a long family walk, he got tired of riding his razor, so Dad tried to ride it home. The plastic frame got bent, and it was never usable again. Just keep in mind, that when plastic parts break, it's over. Wish there was a metal version of this toy. :)

My daughter has enjoyed this scooter, but it would have been nice if the platform would have been made out of metal instead of plastic.

My 4 yr old daughter received this as a gift. She loves Strawberry Shortcake and was so excited to get this set. However, once we opened it, we were very disappointed. As someone else mentioned, this set is about as good as a Happy Meal toy. The handlbars fell off the scooter immediately and I was afraid my 18 month old would choke on them. A few other pieces fell off also. Needless to say, this toy is already in the garbage after not even a days worth of play out of it. There are other SS items that would be great gifts, this is not one of them.

My 3 year old daughter already has an adorable 2.5" Strawberry Shortcake set with lots of pieces and lots of room for imaginary play. She loves it, but it only came with one doll. I've searched for the individual 2.5" dolls but to no avail, so out of exasperation, I bought this set so that SS could have a friend. While the extra dolls were exactly what I was looking for, the rest of the set was a complete disappointment. There are only two pieces in addition to the dolls and their hats, and they are nothing more than kids meals toys. She was SO disappointed when none of the pieces came apart for play that she almost cried. I ended up taking the scooter and the cake off the platforms so that she could play with them and threw the rest away.

My daughter has several tiny Strawberry and friends dolls. She has lots of fun playing with them, and they make a great display on her shelf when she is not playing with them.
