Well, even though the whole point of this review is stated in the oh-so-simple title above, it probably could save me brownie points if I explain the reasoning behind my bold, declarative statement. This game is retarded. My little sister is the biggest and most avid horse fan on the planet, and she will get any book, game, or video that has the specific combination of the letters H-O-R-S-E on the front. Needless to say, she got this game. It is awful because the left and right keys are all mixed up and the player gets extremely confused.
You would think a well-marketed game such as this one would AT LEAST let the virtual horse turn left when the poor thing needs to go left and right when the poor thing needs to go right. But,NOOOOOOOOOO, it doesn't! Also, the objectives are crappy: you have to ride your horse around to search for flowers and ride through towns with such names as Primrose Hill Village and the like. Also, the prizes: while the horses aren't all that bad and the better you do in races, the more horses you sponsor, you still get these mini-games such as horse-shoe throwing and ring-tossing!
Blech! Last but not least, the music! The tune played the whole time in the game has this dizzy, light, nauseating, hazey, spacey, awful feel like something you'd see in a show about the secret lives and minds of serial killers or a song that you'd hear right before you were murdered! Overall, this game has a little-girl, not really-grown-up-yet feel and I personally believe that even the littlest of girls would resent it! Not only that, it gives you a headache! I HIGHLY suggest never wasting those precious $30 that are in your pocket for little Suzie's birthday on craptacular junk like this, but getting a truly fun and enjoyable Game Boy game such as American Idol, Donkey Kong Country, or Pirates of the Caribbean instead!

This is a areally bad mix. I got the barbie game and luckily for me I have a little cousin who's b-day is close to mine so we gave him the dora game. I love the barbie game it is so cool. I get to ride horses and everything. I tried the dora game to make sure it was good for my cousin and it was. I hope this review helped you. The games are great but the package is a bad mix!

i dont see have this can be a bad game because the barbie horse adventure is really cool. but the dora one is the reason my rating went down. they should not put dora, for ages 3-6 and barbie horse game, for ages 8-11. its a bad mix because if your a teen and you want the barbie game but you dont want the dora you dont get it and if your a kid the barbie is hard to play. this was a mistake and hope it dosnt happend again.

Okay, this thing worked for maybe 5 minutes, literally. Then it broke and was unrepairable. WASTE OF MONEY. Barbie brand toys are always made cheaply but this is the worst I've seen so far.

For some reason, I thought I ordered this doll from another store until I reviewed my account and found the order here. The doll's hair looked as if it had been washed and heated over and over. It was coarse and crinkly instead of smooth the way NEW doll hair is. My daughter had anticipated receiving this doll for a year, but she doesn't play with it because she can do nothing with the hair. I usually return damaged items, but we threw away the box and packing material, and I just decided to accept this as a loss.

My 6 yr old *really, really, please mama, can Santa bring me this for Xmas, please!!!!" wanted this. Her aunt gave it to her for Xmas and she was so excited. Until we actually went to play with it. The makeup on/off with water DOES NOT work. The polish DOES NOT work. The hair is SO KNOTTED that even I (mom) couldn't get the special comb thru it. We followed the directions and this is just a disappointing toy. My daughter asked if the company (Mattel) tricked us and didn't care if it worked like it was supposed to. DON'T buy this toy.

My 3 year old loves this, she got it 2 days ago and has not stopped playing with it. The hair was matted and needed to be brushed out but is fine now. The make up with water didn't work as well as i thought, but I microwaved some water to make it hot, and the make up now works great. Overall I say it is a great alternative to real make up styling heads, that are to much mess for little ones with wondering minds!!
