This was another Christmas gift for our 3-year-old daughter, who began taking ballet lessons this past fall. She was very specific about the Barbie she wanted, and it was this one.
The Barbie is very articulated (knee and foot positions) which is probably better enjoyed by the older ballet and Barbie fan. Our daughter is younger and has more fun with Kelly spinning to the music, and the fact that one can hold Barbie by the crown on top and spin her as well. The ballet barre and bag haven't caught her eye; it's the dancing Kelly. Because the ballet shoes are molded onto both dolls' legs, these cannot be dressed up like other Barbie and Kelly dolls. These two beautiful dolls are specific to the ballet role-play.

If Mattel keeps on making these toys, my money box is gonna go empty!!These heart warming toys are such a delight to play with.Barbie dresses in beatiful tut tuts, and wears a pretty crown!!I couldnt beleive that all her ankles, arms, legs move!!So then she can do different balley moves!The practice bar was long then I thought...(which made me really happy)Barbie though....In the comercials, the little girl seems to just push Barbie's crown and she twrils, but in real life, you have to actually spin you hand a little to make her spin, because her crown is twrilable.Here and the explanations for my stars:

Fun: DUH!!!I make balley lessons, competitions, and pratices...etc with them!!

Educational:Ya....I don't take balley lessons anymore but for little kids, it might spark an interest in balley for them!!And make something out of life instead of loving fashion, and gossips about people.

Durability:I not sure....Because I only had her for a day, but she looks fine.

Overall:This is such a heart warming, imagination developing toy!!I love it, and Im sure Barbie fans, or people thinking of thaking balley lessons will love!!Hope this helpes!!

Barbie Fan

This barbie is articulated more than most barbies my daughters have. The shoulders, elboes, thighs,knees and ankles all can do 90 degree bends in all directions. She can do front splits, side splits, and many ballet and martial arts poses are also possible. In contrast, Shelly doll is "normal" and posing is limited.

I do not own this Barbie doll, but it sure looks like fun! My daughter would enjoy playing with the tiara and pretending to be a princess, like other little girls like to do. She LOVES Barbie, so I think this would have a nice effect on her and all her little friends. My daughter has a Glitter Dream Dollhouse she plays with all the time with all her Barbies and My little Ponies, and once if I get this doll, she'd put it in to play here with a "pony" of her own. I adored Barbies when I was a little girl, but they didn't have this that long ago. I certainly reccomend this doll for Barbie lovers of the past and today! Boy, will my daughter jump if she ever sees this!

PS another good toy you would want to give your barbie lover for her birthday is the Barbie Magic of Pegasus Glamour Bag! It has all cute accessories your daughter would enjoy, like a fun pair of sunglasses and a pretend cellphone to call Barbie! Well, have a fun time buying!

This Pink Birthday Barbie is fabulous!, and goes great with Toys R Us and Mattels newest product, Pink Barbie Mirror Vision! It is set to be released this fall, there pink colored mirror screens that attach to TV set, angled to create more images for Barbie cartoon videos, and Disney princess line cartoons! My little girl debbie, already has one, when she watches Barbie she see's her in 8 more images!, and the pink mirror is so cool! My little girl loves it!, and it is helping her to learn faster as education with her favorite Barbie!, the pink birthday barbie with the lavender pink dress! I hear the Pink Barbie Mirror Visions come in purple(lavender) and green also! I purchased the Happy Birthday Barbie for my friend's five year old daughter's birthday. She is Barbie obsessed, so I had a feeling she would enjoy celebrating her birthday with Barbie. Needless to say, this Barbie was very well received.

I combined Happy Birthday Barbie with a child sized dress up tiara and it made a great combo. The birthday girl wore her tiara and looked "just like Barbie".

If you've got a birthday girl in your life who loves Barbie, this will make the perfect gift for her!

While I very much like this doll and the idea behind it, I have one GIANT recommendation.... if you are going to make a cloth skinned doll, please don't provide clothing with velcro tape and loop closures. Did the people who designed this doll ever dress it? The velcro snags the skin fabric every time it gets near it. You don't need to redesign the doll, just find a different closure. Snaps? Ever heard of them?

Im collect mattell products such as bratz, barbie, myscene... and i think that it is wrong for these little girls (im 14 still young but..) too say and make such remarks like "this doll is a hoe..." that is just nasty... and to tell you the truth white peices of trash (hoes..) are the ones who use such nasty enlish. this doll may not be the best from mattell but all you need to say is you dont like it and not post some nasty digusting comments.... overall i think this doll is great for little girls and mabey that's just me but im not saying anybody is so wrong so lets not try to run a little "debate" over this

Although this doll is expensive, she is well worth the money. She is so beautiful and I love how her lips are together!
She is very big and comes with fabulous clothes and accesories!
You can choose which girl you want and they can play together if you have more than one!
You must buy it. I have six children and they all love it. They all play together with this doll and have hours of fun! Buy it, please dont miss out.
