Baby loves blocks but is not interested in the giraffe.
My 9 month old daughter got this as a gift when she was 5 months old. From the beginning, she has loved the blocks. But she couldn't care less about the giraffe. I have showed her many times how the giraffe makes music when you throw the blocks down, but she is completely uninterested. I think it might be because the giraffe is tall and she'd rather shake or chew on the block than strain to get the blocks to fall down the hatch. Maybe she'll appreciate the giraffe more when she's older, but so far this toy is not a loser in our house.

    Great for hand-eye-coordination
This giraffe is great for hand-eye-coordination... though, right now for my 9 month old son, it's more about the peek-a blocks that were included than actually using the giraffe bit.

    Daughter's favorite!
It's so funny to read other's reviews - I guess every child is different! This has been my daughter's favorite since the time she could actually do anything. It's not even that she's so interested in the blocks - she just likes to put things in and take them out. Oh and the thrill of opening and closing the door!! Never ending fun! I couldn't get anything done without this toy! HIGHLY recommend it.

      Peek-a-balls!
My son calls these his "peek-a-balls" and, as a whole, he adores them. When he was younger (under 1) this was his favourite set, as they are very tactile; he especially loved the one with the "tags". The only weakness of this particular set is that it doesn't work well with the "roll around" toys (such as the gumball machine), as these balls don't really roll very well.

      Roll-A-Rounds
We bought these for our daughter with the thought in mind that she loves to feel different textures, which she did.

There are a few cons to this set of roll-a-rounds. For one they don't all roll that well. The balls don't work well with the "roll around" toys, such and the drop and roar dino and the gumball machine.

The ball with the ribbon tags was my daughter favorite until the ribbons started to come apart so we had to throw it away. Otherwise she would of been able to eat the ribbons threads.

Other then the few things we haven't had any other problems, and our daughter loves to roll them around and also carry them around.

      Fun for crawlers--and the cat!
We got this set for our 11 month old, who has been crawling for a while. Not only does he love to chew and explore the textures, he loves it if we roll them across the floor for him to chase. Only one ball makes any sound, and that's the one our cat loves to bat around the floor, naturally. I got these after reading some reviews about the blocks having possible sharp edges. We're very happy with these and are hoping to get some more.

        my daughter loves it
It is a bit difficult to held in her little hand. But she loves it and burst into laugh from time to time.

        A Roll Around Good Time!!
We bought this set for our son when he was six months and it's been a favorite ever since! We have most of the sets and we always have a few of the balls with us no matter where they go. He's nine months now and loves to shake, touch or roll the ball and see what it does. He stares at it trying to figure out how it does it. These have been a great addition to our toys and I can't wait to get him a few of the toys that use the roll arounds! They are also VERY durable. They get thrown or dropped frequently and haven't cracked or show any signs of rough play.

        Sure to become a classic
We have had peek-a-blocks for a while but we just got a lot of roll-a-rounds for my sons birthday. They were an instant hit. These things are great, each one is unique. I plan to keep all the roll-a-rounds, and peek-a-block in our storage room for years to come so when people visit with little ones they will have some great toys to play with!

        Great Toy But Buyer Beware
I got the original Learn Through Music for my 2 year old and she loved it. We got three cassettes!!! As she got a bit older, we wanted to add to her collection, so we purchased this cassette, as well as the Pooh, both of which are Learn Through Music Plus cassettes, BUT CLEARLY STATED THEY WOULD WORK IN EITHER THE ORIGINAL LEARN THROUGH MUSIC OR THE LEARN THROUGH MUSIC PLUS... this is just not the case! The Plus cassettes consistently skip panels and get stuck betwen panels. I thought it was the machine and actually bought a new one. Needless to say, it continued to happen.

A great toy but not as described.

cute but not what I was expecting
I got this to help my daughter learn to tell time but that's not exactly what this does. Cinderella is a little girl here and she sings about the activities she does at different times of the day. On each screen there is a clock and when you touch it she sings the time that is on the clock. That's it. There is one screen where 5 birds each sing a different note demonstrating the difference between high and low. Another shows different animals and the foods they eat. There are 2 screens which follow a path. One shows a seed growing into a pumpkin and the other is a maze garden with things a dog would use (ball, biscuit, water bowl, collar, leash). At the end of the maze there is a new puppy for Cinderella. There is also a screen for counting objects and one for table etiquette. I have some of the other Learn Through Music cartridges which focus on an individual subject like numbers, letters, music, farm animals, or months and seasons of the year. Since this one spans the course of a day they decided to cover several different things that take place during the day rather than teaching multiple lessons on one specific topic. I would like to have some explanation of how to tell time but the clock is more like a theme that runs through it. My daughter seems to enjoy it regardless. She remembers the songs and sings them even when she's not playing with it.

*I just want to add that we don't have the Learn Through Music Plus. We use this cartridge and the "A Year with Pooh, Plus" cartridge with the original Learn Through Music system and we haven't had any problems. I did notice that "Elmo's Scavenger Hunt", which is not a "Plus" cartridge would get stuck on some screens, but after I installed new batteries it started working properly again. If you have any problems with this, and changing the batteries doesn't help, give Fisher Price a call. Their customer service is very good.

        Learn thru music is great
This whole system is great, my 2 year old got one for Christmas & my whole family is enjoying it. The Cartridges that you can buy have many different "pages" of songs and games & its easy for my 2 year old to interact with. My other kids enjoy playing with it too.( 5, * & 10) The only downside is sometimes the microphone can cause interference- & produces that high pitched squeaky sound. We really like the song cinderella sings about the times in her day..."at six o'clock in the morning..."

        Simple and fun
My son is almost 8 months and enjoys this toy so far. He likes putting things (anything) in it and hearing the music. He's not sorting yet, but the opening at the top is big enough for him to drop the blocks in and pull them back out. He enjoys when we start putting the blocks through the correct shaped hole and he finishes pushing them through.

The peek-a-blocks in general have been a little hard for him to hold, as they are *just* a little too big to grasp with one hand until recently. Since the sorting holes are on the sides, it is a little more challenging than the kind where all the holes are on top. They are fun, though!

I like that it has a handle, and I look forward to seeing if he carries it around once he's walking.

My almost 2 year old still plays with this toy
We got this toy when my son was about 18 months old, just because mommy liked it. My fiance thought that maybe he was too old for it but he actually still plays with it on a regular basis. He usually puts the appropirate blocks into there shaped holes but then when he gets bored with that, he puts his match box cars in there and totes it around like a little carrier. He absolutely loves this toy. The toy lights up when you put the blocks into their appropriate holes and makes music when something hits the bottom of the carrier. It also has a handy little handle to carry the toy and the blocks around. This is a great toy for traveling as well.

        Excellent toy.
The shape sorter is a lot of fun, and my one-year-old son is really interested in it. He enjoys trying to figure out all the ways the shape sorter and the blocks can interact. I really like the design--the blocks are very interesting and appealing, and the shape sorter matches. It's nice that there are two volume levels for the music, and my son likes to dance when he hears the music.
I just wish there were a sensitivity switch--the music seems to come on with the slightest tap or movement. I'm sure that's great for younger babies, who have more trouble manipulating objects. Sometimes, though, my son gets a block through one of the holes and the music doesn't reward him for his accomplishment because he's already triggered the sound mechanism just by moving the shape sorter.
Still, the Peek-a-Blocks Shape Sorter is a very appealing toy, and we like it a lot. It's given us hours of entertainment.

        Fisher Price Cadillac Escalade

Cadillac Escalade is Tons of Fun!
This Cadillac Escalde was an Easter present for my 2 sons ages 2 and 4. They absolutely love it! I am so glad we found a 2 seater so both can enjoy the fun. I think it is priced a bit high (must be paying for the Cadillac name), luckily I dod get it $40 cheaper at Walmart for $279 whereas Toys R Us has it for $319. So value wise it is just ok, but defintely keeps the boys happy. The other downfall is the time it takes to assemble...about 1 1/2 hours. The plastic body doesn't seem durable enough to get many years worth of abuse from my kids...but I sure hope it lasts long for price tag!
Has a real working FM radio which takes 4 c batteries. A simulated cd player with 10 preset songs. A cute little storage trunk compartment, 4 HUGE wheels, 2 speeds and reverse, a cupholder, seatbelts, and operational doors. The 12volt battery is stored in the front under the hood and it also comes with a charger. Overall, I really like this truck. (pictures were added for better views)

          Reffers to the Barbie version
I bought my 2y/o dd the Barbie version for her birthday. We love it! It does get stuck here and there in our lawn, but goes very well for the most part. I still have to help her with steering, but if I get her going in a big circle she is usually fine. I love seeing the joy in her face as she drives her car around, it is priceless. The battery lasts forever and ever. We've been playing with it for a half an hour a day for the past month and its still very full. It's still set at 2mph but even that is fast to try to keep up with a 2y/o driver. Its a great buy, you wont regret it!

          absolutely love it
My Daughter just got this she will be 4.. Its great she rides it all day.. she rode it about a mile to the dairy queen with me rollerblading behind her lol.. we took her screw out to make it do the 5mph and she loves it.. she dont like to go slow.. The Radio is so cute she loves it i tried to change her station but found out its not my radio to leave it alone lol.. Great truck overall she loves it..
