I've never been a Barney fan, but my daughter loves him, she sings along, dances and is learning to count.

She got the Learn Through Music Player for her first birthday and so far we have bought all the cartridges we can find. Unfortunately that seems to be limited to 4 - and the Elmo/Sesame Street came with the player. I really hope they come out with new cartridges.

It says in the description "Requires Learn Through Music Player" and the item title says "CARTRIDGE". How do you miss that?

We got this when my daughter was 2. she is 3 now, and while I did not think it was as educational as the Dora and Blue's Clue's cartridges she has, for the Learn Through Music......it is still good and she loves Barney. It kept her busy.

I have a 4 year old who has had this toy for over a year now and he just loves it!!! The toy is very durable and the cartridges are a lot of fun.

I bought this for my nine-month old because he was entertained by it in its box in the toy aisle. Upon bringing it home, I unwrapped it and found it a huge disappointment. 1) It doesn't activate very easily; you practically have to beat it with the bat to get it to wake up 2) It's pretty lame when the ball is firmly attached to the base; basically, it just teaches my son that it's OK to pound on his toys and 3) Even when it lights up on cue, it's pretty boring.

We're taking it back.

Since my family are all such huge sports fans, I was very excited to get this toy for my 6 month old. The toy consists of a bat, a baseball and a tee which the baseball sits on. The tee rests on a rocking base. The idea is that when you hit the ball off the tee, the base rocks and the motion activates lights and sounds. The tee has 2 adjustments, the lower (beginner) adjustment allows for the ball to "lock" into the tee so that you can't actually knock the ball off the tee, but if you make any contact with the tee/ball at all, the base will rock and the lights/music will activate. The more advanced setting allows the ball to rest on the tee without locking in. So that when the bat makes contact with the ball, it is an actual hit.
The problems I have with this toy are:
- the beginner setting is boring. the ball doesn't even move off the tee. so the toy is essentially a stick on a rocking base.
- the lights/music feature is very difficult for a baby to activate. On either setting, the base really has to almost fall over in order for the sensor to activate. We initially thought we just needed to change the batteries, but even with new batteries the sensor is not very sensitive.
- There is no height adjustment for when the baby is sitting vs standing.
Over all, I am very disappointed with this toy. Fisher Price ususally makes such great kids toys that really grow with baby. This toy is definitely not up to their usual standards.
We kept the bat and ball and threw the base away. My son loves banging with the bat and trying to catch the ball when we roll it to him. Don't waste your money on this one!

My son loves his 3 figures from the Police Patrol line: Justin Time, Marshall Law, and Bill Barker & Buster. The only one he didn't want was the robot. It's nice to see a series without the major stars in it (how many Billy Blazes do you really need). They are all in blue themed uniforms, but vary enough to still look unique. Marshall Law must have had a licensing problem with the name, because now the figure has been repainted red and called Marshall Artz.

Justin Time's shooting handcuff gun is probably the most fun accessory of any Rescue Heroes we have. The cuff closes around a wrist once it hits it, and my son loves to play chase with it.

You can't go wrong with this figure for any Rescue Heroes fan.

We got this with my daughter's kitchen set for her 2nd Christmas. She loves the pizza and would bite the cheese and say "UMM"! She often takes the chicken and puts it in the frying pan on her stove to cook it. It was a good buy overall!

my daughter has a great play kitchen soo we bought her some pretend food. Some by Melissa and Doug and some of these sets. She has so much fun with them. She just loves getting me "dinner"
She's 6 yrs old and my 11 month old is already showing interest in this toy. The chicken and this flippy part that you turn and it makes it look like there is a bite taken from it. It's so cute.

My daughter is 28 months and is interested in what I am doing in,especially in the kitchen. I have to say that these Mini Meals Play Food is one of the better food sets out on the market, if not the best! Everything is made from a nice durable plastic, and has some really neat features... the pizza's cheese is made of a stretchy rubber so it's like fresh from the oven pizza & stringy cheese. But the Chicken leg is just the coolest!!! You can make the chicken leg look like you've taken a bite out of it. When you hold the knuckle or bottom knob of the chicken leg it turns so your child can show you that the chicken in not eatten, then with a small and easy twist the chicken shows white meat with teeth marks! There is also a small serving of green beans, a green pepper and a can of soda.

It's so much fun to watch to watch my daughter cook me a meal! You know children learn through play.... so here's to your budding chief!

It is an excellent toy with great educational value. The cardboard pieces can be easily ripped; I would prefer plastic, but it's not a big deal. It's a great game.

I am a Speech Therapist working with toddlers. This toy is a hit with 100% of my families. Kids love it and parents see the educational value, such as learning to take turns, and to match by two attributes: animal and color. Not to mention practicing animal names and sounds. And children love putting the "coins" back in the slot. Just try not to lose any of them.

This toy is really great for toddlers, teaches matching and colors. Also comes with a case for storage.
