Although the first Highland was malfunctional after a day the replacement we recieved seems to be working fine. My 5 1\2 year old loves the train set and its nice to be able to add to it. my 2 year old daughter joins in and really likes to play with the trains. They are very easy to use and the kids play with them all the time. Its one of those toys you can mix up a little so it keeps their intrest going. We have had the system for about 2 years now and have not even thought about getting rid of it. Unlike some toys that seem to go "out of play". The only draw back is that they are big and use a good chunk of storage once you get your collection going.

These are great little trains that have nice detailing and can be used with the remote control or pushed by your child. The remote control is simple to use. They also shut off when not played with after a short period of time. They could be improved by having a reverse function and maybe 2 speeds (high/low) as they are quite slow. I have attached many more cars to the engines and they pull 5 or six with no problems but start to struggle a bit (especially on the elevation tracks) after that.

It really looks great. Very nice detailing. A good addition to the Geotrax collector.

My daughter loved this doll. We gave it to her for her 2nd birthday and she was so ecstatic when Dora said her name. I agree with a previous review that you do have to update the information quite frequently or Dora will keep repeating the same things over and over. The information did take up a lot of space on my computer, but you will be blown away at the options that come with this doll. She knows your childs name, friends name, favorite: food, color, animal, song. She is also on a timer. She'll say things like "time to get up," "time for a nap," "time to go to bed," etc. It really is cute! Excellent quality too. Comes with everything you need, definetly worth the Money!

To me the only downfall was having to update information so often. Which you don't have to, but children change their minds so often, that you will probably have to!

After initially finding this toy on Amazon, as a 2nd birthday present for my niece, who absolutely adores Dora, I decided to go into ToysRUs to canvass.

The main reason I wanted to see the doll in the store was because I wanted to make sure that the doll had the capability to say my niece's name, Aulani. I had a lot of difficulty locating the doll in the store, it was not by the Dora merchandise or the interactive/computer area, but in the baby dept.

There is also a Pooh knows your name and an Elmo knows your name. In the store there is a keyboard where you type in your child's name and it will tell you what character knows that name. I was disappointed that only Pooh and Elmo could say Aulani, but when I changed the spelling to Alani, Dora could say it as well!

I purchased Dora Knows Your Name in the store, as opposed to having it shipped from Amazon because I was a little apprehensive about the difficulty of the programming, and I know that my sister would easily be frustrated if it was involved.

You can program the doll while it is still in the box. It comes with a CD rom and a USB chord. Using windows XP it took me about 10 minutes to download the software and run the personalization program. The only difficulty that I had was that I did not correctly insert the USB chord in the doll's control box. The download is fairly simple for anyone who has ever downloaded software. With that information, I would not hesitate buying a similar produuct online.

I absolutely love this doll, it serves as an alarm clock in the morning, reinforces a schedule, and provides entertainment through stories and songs. This doll will even count down the days to your child's birthday and will sing happy birthday. The only thing that I would change about this doll would be more options or a greater selection for stories and song on the software.

I read some of the reviews posted on this site before I bought this Doll, I saw it on Ebay but was afaird because of some the comments that was posted about the doll and thought I should buy it directly in case I needed to return it, But I had no problems at all other then the UBC cord the direction said to turn the cord one way when actually it is the other way, other then that I had no problem downloading anything and I can't wait to give this to my daughter for Easter.

I purchased the new kid-tough camera for my daughter, who is 6 years old. In the past she's relied on disposable point-and-shoot cameras for taking on school field trips. The only problem: we'd develop the film and find out half the shots were bad. Now with the new FP digital camera, she can snap to her hearts content (that is if you add the optional SD memory card....as the camera will only take about 60 shots before maxing out the internal memory). The software that is bundled with the camera is windows PC compatible. I use a Mac, and photos downloaded fine from the USB interface. Overall, the quality of the camera is good. The double "viewfinder" style eyepiece makes it easy for young kids to focus on their subject without squinting one eye. The controls are very easy to use, whether your child is old enough to read or not. It takes 72 dpi pics, which is fine for printing 4x6 photos. And because it's digital, you can choose which pics to print...a savings from developing the whole roll of 35mm film. Two criticisms: The $70 price tag does seem a bit high. It would be a better bargain if priced closer to $50. It uses 4 AA batteries, rather than a single rechargeable. (Although I am using rechargeable AAs). I'm finding that changing the batteries is a real pain because I have to keep reaching for the phillips-head screwdriver to take off the child-proof cover. Nice if you have a really young child, but a hassle for the parents of older kids.

I bought this toy for my 15-month-old and he enjoys it. The problem is that he figured out how to take off the safety belt in two seconds. (It is made of velcro.) While I was taking him for a ride, he quickly ripped the belt off and stood up. He fell over onto the sidewalk. A belt with a clasp would be better. I know the car goes only 2 mph, but it is faster than you realize. Some improvements are needed.

I USUALLY DONT WRITE REVIEWS BUT THIS TOY IS GREAT. HE LOVES TO SIT IN THIS WHILE WE GO FOR WALKS...HE LIKES THIS A LOT BETTER THAN HIS STROLLER. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS IT IS LITTLE LOUD BUT FOR A 15-20 MINUTE WALK HE LOVES IT. IT ALSO HAS A HANDLE FOR MOM AND DAD TO PUSH WHICH IS A GREAT FEATURE FOR THE YOUNGER KIDS.

I love this toy for my daughter. We bought it for her first birthday and she loves it. The only bad thing is the safety strap needs to be redesigned. She figured out how to take it off in point two. Other than that this toy is great.....

We purchased the Geotrax for Christmas 2005 for our 2 1/2 year old son. He loved it and has not stopped playing with it since Christmas. We just bought this new engine and the lights come on as he drives it, and it has now turned into his favorite engine. He liked the little red one that the caboose has a bell in it so it dings as it rolls by. He uses that caboose with this engine. Very cute and his expression states it all. I would recommend this engine.

I first bought the Geo Trax Working Town Railway System for my 2 years old twins, but because they were fitting for the train control, we decided to buy another train. They enjoy this toy a lot. They always want to play with the chu chu train...

This is a beautiful train... the blue/white combination contrasts with all Geotrax colorful sets. The front light, increases the nigh fun, because we turn off bedroom's lights and looks very cool how the train moves trought the rails.

Yes, is very hard to put the batteries, but not only in this train, in ALL Geotrax trains is very hard, open the door, pull the batteries and close the door again. Only an adult can do it, and need to do it strongly.

We got this as a gift! It is so worthless! I wish the store would take it back! The kids did not like it and it really doesn't do anything fun. Don't waste your money!

My son loves this playmat. He enjoys lying on this back and sitting up. It is the BEST playmat out there!!!!!!!!!

My baby girl loves this toy. I put her on it at about 6 weeks and she has loved it ever since. Highly recommend it!

i should give it zero star actually....waste of money ..even thou i got it for $10....the volume of toy is tooooo low to enjoy..my 1 yr old didnt even bother to hold it after few minutes and my 3 yr old played with it only for a day....

i bought this because my 1 yr old kid loves our home phone and loves to hear the tone and light on the phone....when i bought this toy i knew it has no lights on it... but the voliume is too low that you can only hear elmo when you put it on you ear...the volume is even lower than normal home phones...

...the volume is too low. It's ridiculous. When we first received this as a xmas gift and we pulled out the volume tab, we thought it was just broken. So we exchanged it for another one, and of course, it was the same.
My baby still likes this phone, but I know he would like it even more if he could hear the dang thing.

My almost 2 year old son LOVES anything Elmo. We let him play with the phone to see if he liked it and CRIED when we had to take it away to buy it. He sings with the Elmo's song. Laughs at the counting.

For me, the volume is perfect. Not too loud, not too soft. (Every has different ideas of loudness.)

For my son - it is well worth the money.

My 2y daughter received this on 2nd bday and she has not let it go since, (7mo). Dora "feeds" the baby bro/sis with the bottle in her hand, while it (bottle)makes good sound effects. There is also a pretend plate of carrots/peas/potatoes and comes with 2 spoons, very good role-modeling as Dora is the big sister. The songs she sings are very sweet, as both the songs and the questions she asks engage my daughter in fun role playing.

My 2 yr. old daughter and I were at a store shopping for her birthday presents ( a little early ) and when she saw this dora doll with her baby sister and baby brother she wouldn't put it down, and since I bought it for her she has slept with her every night, this doll is practically attached to my daughter. Every time dora asks, "do the babies want some more?" after feeding them my daughter giggles and says "ok dora" it's amazing how she interacts with this doll. It's deffinatly worth the money to buy it!

My daughter adores Dora and has been asking for this toy. She received it for Christmas and is thrilled. I love it because it is a very sturdy toy. The babies are heavy duty plastic and Dora is half plastic, half cloth. My daughter has been sleeping with the Dora. She is enjoying pretending to feed the babies and put them in Dora's carrier. This toy is great for play acting as well as wonderful if you are trying to get your child ready for a little brother or sister, although you might want to educate your child that they won't be able to carry their new sibling around in a carrier like Dora until they are much older.

My little girl just love these dolls they are so durable and easy to handle the stroller was so easy to assemble. They are just precious. There are alot of accessories that can be purchased to go along with them also.

I have 30 month old twins boy/girl and my daughter always gets two dolls and says' i have my twins , too. Now she really is enjoying her "real twin " babies. They smell and look precious and stroller carrier is a deal.
