My son received this chair for his first birthday and he loved it. the only problem was that the back of the chair comes off very easily. Now I hear there is a major recall and i can see why. Even though fisher price is sending a repair kit, im not sure if i will let him play on it again. It is dangerous and not very secure. I was leary of this toy before the recall because of the back but now...children being caught between the swinging table and the back of the chair...not much fun anymore..."i'm sorry son"

My daughter received this toy for Christmas and she LOVES it. However,she also likes to climb on it. I can't keep her from standing in the chair, which she prefers to do rather than sitting in it. I keep the chair put up until I can get in the floor and play with her. Also I have changed the batteries twice since Christmas. The sounds can distort and it also will give off an annoying high pitched noise. The battery life may be because my daughter really does love it and plays with it often. I would not buy it again due to the hassle and constant vigilance required.

This chair is so cute, but was recalled. I called Fisher-Price and they sent me a modification kit to make it 100% safe to use. My 18 month old loves this chair! It is so cute and teaches ABCs, 123s, colors, animals, songs and other things like "Hi, there...You're ON the chair!" when you sit down and "You're OFF the chair...BYE BYE!" when you stand up and walk away. It shuts itself off so the batteries don't get used up immediately. I imagine they will make it again soon with the midifications intact. All of their Laugh & Learn stuff is so smart!

My almost three year-old son has become a bonafide Rescue Heroes fanatatic. After picking up a couple of items on clearance over Christmas just for the heck of it, they have quickly become his favorite toys. Rescue heroes offers kids so much to choose, from a wide variety of figures, to various land and water vehicles, to VERY large playsets. The fact that many of the new figures talk and have sounds has just made it that much more fun and we are increasing his collection all the time.

Al Pine is part of the Forces of Nature team of Rescue heroes and features Al Pine and his sled dog Windchill and their special sled to help rescue victims trapped in a blizzard. My son loves dogs so they made this one even more of a treat. Another great Rescue Heroes figure!

Something is wrong with the design of this toy. The helicopter blades are supposed to spin when you press a button but after one try that was it. The blades never did spin again.

Very disappointing. My son has not taken it up since.

The Hal E. Copter and mini-copter set is a fun little toy. My 3 year old son loves this thing. It has a working propeller and grappling hook and it is also hand held, so you can take this anywhere and "fly" it, unlike the WAY TOO BIG Hyper Jet. This was his first Rescue Heroes toy and after he got this, he was hooked and has been in love with the series ever since.

I like it because it's a very sturdy toy (trust me I've stepped on this thing a few times and nothing!) and there's always something new that the helicopter can do. Highly recommend this one because it's one of the cheaper vehicles and it also comes with a figure which is a big bonus.

The only drawback is that it is difficult to fit Hal into the helicopter and take him back out. Other than that, my son usually uses it without a driver, and just flies it around, rescuing other toys in the house with the grappling hook. This toy is not electronic, but when you pull the grappling hook fully out, you depress the gray button on the side and it makes the propeller spin, along with a grinding sound, so it makes it seem like it does have batteries in it. To the reviewer who said it didn't work, you may not be pulling out the cord, because if you press it with the cord fully inside, the propeller does not move.

The helicopter is in 2 pieces inside the package, and when you get it out and assembled, it is much bigger than you would think. An excellent buy.

Having shopped with my son for Rescue Heroes for a while now, every store we go in seems to have tons of the very boring Lava Squad series lying around. They are still there after Xmas. The figures all look the same, with the same orange color scheme, and this character, Val Cano, doesn't even look human with the non-removable helmet. My son has to have every new human character we find when we visit a toy shop, but he won't touch the robots. When he saw Val Cano, he quickly threw him back on the shelf, not interested in the least, as he thought he was a robot.

The Rescue Heroes line has been pretty prolific now (since the late 90's) but I think this is the worst line to date. They could have had an orange theme, but added different looks to each character, and they definitely should have given Val Cano a helmet that comes off so we know there is a human in there!
