My daughter received this toy and Mr. Potatohead for her second birthday. She loves them both, but Elmo has been an especially big hit. It comes with us everywhere and has probably fostered her developing obsession with Elmo and other Sesame Street characters. I agree with the other reviewers: This is a toy that requires some adult help, at least at first. The pieces are a bit tough for a two-year-old to insert.

BUT it is very hard for young kids to use a few of the pieces themselves. And they may get frustrated. Not all though. It is worth just listening to Elmo with all his silly sayings!
I still reccomend this for all people with young kids. Never a bad thing if a parent plays with their child :).

My daughter received this as a gift for her second birthday who is a huge Elmo fan. My daughter can put most of the pieces on herself, but some she still needs assistance. Of course, we had to sit with her a few times and show her how it works. She laughs at Elmo's silly sayings. This is much better than Mr. Potato Head. She is distructive and Elmo is still with us, so it is very durable. Very educational for the little one to identify different parts of the body and different parts of an animals body. Great gift!!

I really like the Magna Doodle when it's big enough. Unfortunately, this one is too dang small. We bought two of these for our kids (ages 2 and 3) for trips. The drawing surface is a good size, and the pad pverall is easy for the kids to handle -- but the "wiping" action doesn't clear the screen in less than 3 or 4 passes, and the action on it is sticky. As a result, most of the image remains until Mommy or Daddy can take a minute and work with the thing to get it off.

The larger size doesn't have this issue, by the way. I'd recommend that one.

This is by far one of the best toys that we have ever purchased for our two year old. She loves drawing on it and claps her little hands in delight after she makes her doodle disappear! I gave it only 4 stars for durablity because she did manage to get the marker free of the board. However, this is still one of the only toys in our house that gets played with on a daily basis and we've had it for six months.

This was my daughter's favorite toy (age 3) until she dropped it. I glued it, it broke again and again. She was very upset when "Doodle" broke for the last time. It was cheap enough. I bought another. Great toy, not durable.
