        Building Bliss: The perfect toy
I found this to be one of the best out of the six. The green color complements the design, unlike the Brown Rahkshi and the Black one.

Not only that, ..., the feet do not come off easily if you build it right. If you give it a push, it slides on perfectly, and doesn't come off.

The only thing I might say I'm not completely satisfied with are the hips. They sway too much, and can make posing a chore.

But all in all, this would have to be my favorite of the entire BIONICLE series. It is fun to build, and even better if you have a BIONICLE Toa Nuva. And if you open up the Rahkshi's Back with Spikes, you might just find a surprise...

        Rakhsih in the middle
This fun little toy is a fun little toy, but its legs, and feet come off way too much. And I mean alot. And if you move the legs to much, it gets harder to move. Other then that, kids love it. If your kid doesn't mind to put pieces back together a couple of times, this is a good toy for you.

can't do much better than this.
this bad boy comes with 40 peices, along with intructions and a small comic.

once built, you can put him in any pose you desire. however, because of the posability, some poses look weird, some look feminine, and some look just downright stupid. however, it's still a great toy, so buy him.

his action feature is moving his arms from side-to-side, with the staff it's supposed to be a slashing action. it looks kinda silly, so it looks more like he is being a DJ.

overall these figures are pretty sweet, so buy one. who can't love a beast who can poison anything with his staff!?

An AMAZING Bang for the buck!!!!
I am 27 years old and recently decided to purchase this set for myself as I used to play with LEGOs when I was a child. For 6.99, you canNOT go wrong!! There are a total of 65 pieces as well as a killer instruction manual that shows you how to build 3 models step-by-step, with pictures that can inspire additional building. The pieces come in it's own "pod" that can also be used to create models. I have owned this toy for a week and have already created 5-10 completely different models. It has helped me in my creative writing and music composition immensely. I highly recommend this toy for children as it certainly helps the creative process...or even for adults who need a healthy stress relief!!!

                a fantastic toy.
My 3-year-old and I have a great time building castles with this set. In fact, I think I enjoy it more that he does! As with all Duplo bricks, we can augment this set with other bricks to make bigger (and sometimes more colorful) castles.
While this is a great set for the money, my son wants to make a castle that HOLDS the included Dragon (a la Shrek), and we'll need to buy the larger set to accommodate him. You may decide to buy the larger castle and the dragon separately if you want to give your dragon a castle home with the appropriate elbow room. =)

Both of my boys love it!
I originally bought this for my younger son, who was turning 3. But his older brother, who is 5 years old, loves to play with it too. We also purchased the small knight and squire set as well, so there would be good knights to fight the bad ones. Now both of my boys are playing together and enjoying it! They love the dragon, armor, and trap doors in the tower floors.

I love the overall look of the tower, with the stone work detail on the side pieces, and the turret along the top of the tower. My brother had a LEGO castle many years ago, and since then they have certainly improved on the overall looks, and realism.

Great starter Lego for wanna be older young boys
This lego set hit the spot with my 2 1/2 year old who was always playing with my 5 year olds Knights Kingdom set but was frustrated because he couldn't really participate in the building. This set has child like blocks but is a full fledged big boy toy with the whole castle/dragon/knights theme. You really can't go wrong. We are looking forward to the other pieces to be released in 2005 also!

                  Lego to the max, Man
So many pieces, and such a low price. It's crazy! I came up with a 4-storied house! If there is more than one peoples at a house, this will fit them.

                  Pros-
                  1000 pieces
                  regular bricks
                  assortment of colors
                  Cheap price!

                  Cons-
They spill all over if you dump the tub
Nothing but bricks (no pulleys, wheels, etc.)
No plate to put the legos on.

                  Great buy!
I purchased this for my 5 year old Grandson. We had hours of fun building things shown in the enclosed booklet. I strongly recommend purchasing the 'base plate' with this collection. It helps hold the things you are building together.

                  Lots of hours of fun
The Lego set is great for creative play time for my grandsons.

Lego Stories and Action Bionicle Visorak's Gate

3 1/2 Stars because of unstable beams...
Easy to put together - Check!

Fun to play with - Check!

3 Beams not as sturdy as we wanted. The toy can wreck and fall apart easily. Which is frustrating in the heat of battle.

An idea that's been long overdue
I haven't seen a Lego set this cool in a long time. This set radiates coolness like a shining star in the Lego universe.

I must admit, I haven't kept up with the Bionicle story over the years. I always just liked the action figures. The Bohrok were very cool, as were the Rahkshi. I began to lose interest in Bionicle when the Vahki came on the scene, but I still collected a few of them. As far as I can tell, the dynamic of Bionicle stories is usually the same. The heroic, robotic Toa versus a horde of monsters. That's pretty much what's going on here.

The Visorak are cute four-legged monsters with large pincers. There are eight of them here, and they are fighting against the six elemental Toa (humanoid robots). It should be noted that the Toa figures are not posable like other Lego minifigs. They're more like mini figurines. Each guy stands in his own heroic pose, and each guy carries his own unique silver weapon. There are spears, halberds, and battering rams. I'll forgive the lack of posability here because the rest of this set is so cool.

There are six different Visoraks (they have different styles of pincers). This set comes with eight, so two of them are duplicates. They're made of semi-flexible plastic. You can push down on a little monster's back and spring him into battle to knock down the robots. Very cool. The Visorak also glow in the dark. Both the Toa and Visorak figures have some great textured detail, and the Visorak have some very nice color detail as well.

The backdrop for our epic battle between monsters and robots is a well-designed Visorak fortress that has some very cool features. The little monsters can raise and lower the front walls of the fortress, and lock them into place. With a front wall raised, they can then send a flaming boulder careening down a ramp to knock over the attacking robots. The design of the moving walls and locking mechanism is pretty inventive and lots of fun. The front gate of the fortress has large pincer claws that can open and then close to grab a robot as he's trying to sneak inside. The central tower is an elaborate launching mechanism. Load a Visorak into the chamber and then pull back on the trigger to launch the little guy out the front of the fortress, energetically springing into battle. There are also vines that our little monsters can use to scale the walls, and they can be snapped firmly onto a vine.

Going into the construction of the fortress is a good variety of Technic and regular pieces. Colors are dark gray, black, light gray, some dark blue, and just a little of white. We also get some decorative decals to spruce up the look of the fortress. Also included is a small catapult that the Toa can use to launch a flaming boulder at their enemies. All of the construction here is pretty easy. Nothing too difficult. The finished model is sturdy and easily portable. I haven't had any problems with it falling apart.

The idea of giving us mini Toa figures, mini monsters, and a fortress for them to fight over is one that was, in hindsight, long overdue. It would've been nice to see mini Bohrok and Rahkshi. This is what I like. Lots of guys with cool weapons, lots of cute little monsters, and a really nice techno-stronghold with cool action features so I can stage an epic battle.

This set gets a big, big thumbs up from me. Kudos to the designers at Lego! They did a wonderful job on designing the whole thing. It's fun to build, and loads of fun to play around with.
