Fun, but hard! I had to rebuild some parts at times. A really big set and a steal (...)

I received this set as an early Christmas gift and as an adult lego collector I love it. It took about 6 1/2 to 7 hours to put together, including the time to correct a mistake at step 33 (which I did not catch until I was done). I am a little disappointed in the mounting method for the chin an nose, but overall it is a great set. If you own the Yoda set you will see what I mean. Sorting the parts before starting might cut the time down a bit, but I won't try that for a while. Look over each step before going on to the next one, because trying to split it back apart is not fun. If you have been thinking about buying this set, stop putting it off. It is well worth the price.

The Darth Maul bust is a great LEGO set. I assembled it over the course of three evenings, so I probably spent 12 hours or so putting it together. I found that the stand was not as sturdy as I would have liked, but as the bust is not really a plaything, it doesn't seem to matter.

Unfortunately, the end result is a very creepy, yellow-eyed devil-head. After I had the eyes on it I didn't much care to have it facing me when I wasn't working on it (Mr Maul spent the nights staring at the corner.)

Overall, this was a fun set to build, if a little pricey.

This is a really good set! I like the new flesh tones on all the mini figures except that snape still looks like a ghost and they dont match with the old ones. Well that is okay i guess. Lego really did a great job on the new legos. The only sets I hate its Hogwarts classrooms, Diagon Alley, and Gryffindor common room because the colors were wrong. Keep up the great work Lego!

If you like Legos and Harry Potter, this is a must have. People are collecting up Lego/Potter items quickly, so if you want to get in on them, you might want to hurry... usually once Lego drops the price on something, they are going to quit selling it, then you will be left with just private sellers, which aren't always reliable or honest. I ordered a bunch of the Lego/Potter items at once, and spent the day putting them all together, for my display case. I am a big kid at heart, and love lego, and am a devout fan of Harry Potter. This is a great toy for kids, the instructions on most of the lego sets are visual, so you can see what needs to be done, helping with eye-hand coordination. Once the sets are put together, you now have a setting to let imaginations take over... all in all, legos are great toys

i didnt get this 1, i got vakama, but they are basically the same, they both have a cool head, not mask, and they can launch a spinner. the best part would have 2 be the spinner, as each toa has a specially designed spinner that launches in a different way(lateral or horizontal travel) and each is designed to fly a different distance(ignore the box). with the right ammount of force, it is possible to make thge disk hover for about 5-7 seconds. get all 6 of them, all 6 rahaga, all 7 visorak(the great visorak in the metru nui playset that says it includes it), all 3 "titans" and the special edition toa of the past(now rahaga, for those who havent noticed). the rating on this site is 2 low tho, i would rate it 11/10

This is one of the coolest ones in the set. This, Nokama (blue), Nuju (white), and Onewa (brown) are the collest ones in the set. I highly reccomend it to anyone. These are VERY easy to put together.

This is a awesome bionicle! The rhotuka spinner goes so high. It went so high I lost it.Luckily it came with two! I reccomend for anyone!

This is a pretty cool set. The only thing wrong is that is should be a little taller like in the movie. This set really recreates the tower in the movie. The only thing wrong is the door. It should be like a prison door like in the movie, not a wooden one. Some good things about this is only one of two sets that have buckbeak, one of four sets that have a dementor, and only one of two sets that have Sirus Black. I RECOMEND THAT YOU BUY THIS!!!

I have not built or bought this set yet but I am going to get it as soon as I can and so should you! My favorite part about this set is the fact that it has buckbeak. The tower opens and there is a secret chest inside. I HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS SET, WORTH THE MONEY.

It's really good in some parts... but in others... it's not so good. I think it's worth buying if you're a big fan. 1 1/2 thumbs up!

This is one of my favorite bionicles, and it's also my friends favorite out of the 7 I have.My favorite is the white Rahkshi, because his staff can drain the power of the other toa.I have 2 Rahkshi (White & Green) 2 Bohrok (Black & Brown) and 2 Toa Metru (Green & Black) and this is my 4th favorite.

The new Toa Metru Toa Whenua is one of the BEST bionicles! When I play with mine I always feel like I'm with it searching for Makuta's minions. What's cool about this bionicle is that it's mask has the power of NIGHT VISION! So if some Makuta's minion's are lurking around in the darkess in can see the minion.

I have resisted buying these because they seemed so cheap...also the usual question we parents always ask ourselves..."What are they going to do with them?"

My son received his first bionicle from a friend on his ninth birthday...it was cleverly the "bow" on a birthday present. I now regret overlooking this wonderful line of "lego's" for so long! My boys love these! They have the best time building them and an even better time playing with them.

They are priced reasonably so you can always pick-up one as a treat during trips out "shopping". If you encourage your children to "save-up" for some of their "wants", the cost of these is low enough that it doesn't take them months and months to realize their goal.

Please do not make the same mistake I made and misjudge these toys. You will be denying your child a great experience.
Although the manufacturer suggests ages 7 and up, I do not feel a child younger than 8 or 9 would be able to independently put this toy together. My 7 year old needs some help putting these together, but he loves to try all by himself. That is the point of Lego's, to construct and play. The primary benefit, in my opinion, is the satisfaction of "doing it" yourself!

A definate A+ for our boys!

This toy is AWESOME.This toy is easily my 2nd favorite that I own(7 in all,) next to the white Rahkshi.I love his wings that become swords, but it's hard to get them out of his hands, so the best thing to do is put them in half way.I own 2 Rahkshi (Green & white) 2 Bohrok (Black & brown) and 2 Toa Metru (Green & Black) but this is my 2nd favorite.

Like I said in the title, this is the best toy ever! I really like him because his swords can be used as wings. The only drawback is if you put his swords in his hands you will never get them out. I easily rate this toy 5 stars. I hope this was helpful to you.

i'll admit, it is a great idea. but it is a pain in the neck to put together, and it is near impossible to play basketball. i had no idea how to pass the ball. hey, at least it would be better than lego football.

I was a little confused about this set when I first opened the box...this may seem a bit drastic, but i literally thought i was at a basketball tourney. I had to step back and realize that it was in fact a LEGO set. I have to hand it to LEGO, the realism that was put into this set is amazing...breathtaking even. this is the perfect gift for the LEGO/Basketball enthusiast on everyone's list. - dave

I think this toy is great. It's awsome how the little guys with springs in their waist can shoot the ball. You can pass, shoot, and block. I think it's worth twenty-five$ It would be hard to build for someone under 10. It helps if you have built lego basketball toys before. I'm eleven and me and my almost sixteen brother had a little trouble building, but it wasn't that hard. I hope I'm not discouraging anybody who wants to by it.

This product is great! Lego has perfectly blended the durability and reusability of legos with the skill and detail of a model. It took me three nights to assemble this model and it looks fantastic, just like the y-wing from episodes 4-6. Plus if I get bored or am looking for something to do on a rainy day...I can take it apart (or throw it against the wall, that's what's so great about legos) and start over. What model can you do that with? No messy glue, paint or equipment. I have been able to pick this set up move it around and hand it to others to look at, an engine will some times come off or a piece pop out while being handled but it is soooo easy to just put back on
