Yes, it's not easy to put together but one should only have to put it together once so it's no big deal. Our 3 and 1 year old enjoy it, although our 3 year old is not all that interested in it anymore. The main problem with it is that if it is kept outside and in the sun, it can not be played with, the kids can't even touch it because it get so hot. Just like an old metal slide. So if the buyer keeps it indoors or in the shade, it should be lots of fun.

There was only one point that I needed my wife to help me with the assembly. Otherwise it was a snap and it only took me about 20 minutes to finish it. The last section of the platform is difficult but a rubber mallet helps (you can skip the olive oil and chisel).

I purchased this climber probably 5 years ago. It has sat outside for every nasty winter and to my surprise the rope climbing wall has held up. It's not as lovely as it was the day out of the box, but it can support my weight. I agree with the others on assembly, this was very difficult to put together. it took beating and swearing to get it together, but I have found that with many other Little Tikes proudcts. They last forever if you can get them together in the first place!

Unfortunately, this desk is not available at any of the Toys R Us stores within 30 miles of where we live. So, my mom ordered it direct from Little Tikes website and they promised her it would arrive for her grandson before Christmas. She paid $30 extra for the oversize shipping and the item never came. Today, Dec 26, we finally reached customer service at Little Tikes and they said that someone should have contacted her to let her know it is now out of stock. No one had contacted her via phone, email or postal mail, and when I had tried to contact Little Tikes the two days before Christmas, their automated system hung up on me 3 times. When I finally reached a person and told him that an item hadn't been shipped (FedEx confirmaiton and delivery was only for the one other item we ordered), he told me to hold a minute, but immediately hung up on me.

Therefore, I think it was probably Little Tikes fault on the comment below, not Amazon. If you want to order anything online that is made by Little Tikes, I recommend ordering far in advance of when you need it. Or, only purchase items you can find in stores. Usually, companies let you know immediately or at least within a few days if the item is out of stock. Not true with Little Tikes.

This review is more for AMAZON and not the product itself. Ordered this on 12/6/2005, when it didn't arrive by the due date of 12/19/05 I called and found out that mysteriously the, almost 45 pound package was lost??????? Nothing they could do for me because the product was, of course no longer available!!! To much disappointment my 4 year old will not be getting the gift that MOMMY wanted to get her for Christmas! thanks AMAZON for making me a believer that ordering online, SUCKS! Will never order from AMAZON again.

This is no longer on clearence at the toysrus stores and must be purchased online. It is 66.00 on the walmart web site and the shipping is 19.00

I bought this for my daughter when she was 6 months old, she has been playing with it ever since and is now 28 months old. My second daughter loves it too and she's 12 months old!

It has been great for learning to put the mail in the slots, the buzzing bee is fun and now my daughters put everything in it (small dolls and little people, animals, etc). It has helped my girls learn about mail and we go to the "real" mailbox all the time!

We love this toy. We got it for our daughters 1st birthday and she loves it more everyday! She is almost 2 now and just enjoys it more the older she gets. It is a great toy and her friends all love it too. I am back buying a few more for her friends upcoming birthday gifts! With all the fancy and more expensive toys out there ( and we have plenty ) this is by far one of her fave and is very inexpensive and well made! Another great product from Little Tikes!

This is one of the best toys that we have bought. My son still plays with it after three years!

I bought this easel because it was so highly reviewed here on Amazon, and I have been very disappointed with it. In fact, I've been so disappointed that I'm selling it and am planning to buy a different one.

Good aspects of the easel: It's gorgeous -- it's made of solid wood & it looks great. It's also a great height for a 2-3 year old. Also, though we didn't try the chalkboard, it's not plastic & I expect that it works quite well.

Bad aspects of the easel: The magnetic clip that is supposed to hold the paper does not work. It does not even hold one piece of paper. And since the top of the easel is squared off (see picture), I can't use clips or clothespins to hold the paper either. So I've been taping the paper up each time. As my son can fill a piece of paper in about 2 minutes, this is a major pain! Another big problem with the easel is that the trays are extremely shallow and rounded, so I can't imagine how they would hold a jar of paint. Last, some aspects of the easel did not seem to be good quality -- for one thing, the magnetic strip that is supposed to be stuck to the white board (part of the clip that's supposed to hold the paper) was glued on crooked & keeps falling off to boot. Also, it looks like one of the trays got chipped and then was filled in with wood filler & sanded down -- definitely noticeable, and I was surprised that Little Tikes had the gall to sell something obviously damaged as a new product.

The easel looks great, but since it won't hold paper without using tape, and since my son can't use it for painting, I really don't see the point of owning it. Next time I make a purchase of this sort I plan to do it in a physical store, rather than online, since I think I would have realized this easel wouldn't work well if I had been able to look it over in person. Also, the shipping cost of this item ($35) made it impractical to return, so I'm having to sell it used to someone local and therefore am not getting all of my money back.

My recommendation: Don't buy this overpriced, impractical easel -- instead, try to buy something in your local area that you can examine in person.

After researching many different easels I finally decided on this one, even though it wasn't magnetic. The look is great! It can go in any room of my house and still look nice. The chalk board is waxy, but the more my 22-month-old uses it the more the wax comes off. The magnetic strip on the whiteboard side will hold up to 4 sheets of crayols floor pad sheets (which are good quality paper and almost fill the whole white board)
Instead of using dry erase markers (which always stink) I have started using crayols window markers. My daughter loves the big ones, these come 4 marker to the set (also there is a 8 packet with smaller markers) and clean off with water and don't stain the whiteboard. She loves it. I can hardly get her away from it. My husband and I love to sit with out daughter and color on it too. Its the perfect heighth for a toddler (for year to come) and for us to sit on the floor and color with her.
As far as it not being magnetic (reason why I gave 4 stars)I figured I can always by magnetic strips and put it around the outside and it will still look nice.
One of the biggest reason I liked this easel is it well made and I don't have to worry about it tipping over onto my little tornado. She crawls under it, stands in under it, shakes it, and has tried to sit on the tray and it doesn't budge. We can even throw a blanket over it for a quick fort.
It took my husband and father about 1/2 hour to put it together.

Looks great and I've had good experiences w/Little Tykes but is it adjustable??? Anyone who knows, please post. Thank you.

I purchased this toybox 2 nights ago from toysrus. It is pretty spacious and sturdy. I really do not like the lid though. It does not stay up very well. It just kind of sits on top of the toy box in these 2 slots. It doesn't actually snap into place so my five little boys constantly take it off. The drawers on the bottom just slide into an open space under the toybox, they are not actually attatched to anything either but they are nice to put the smaller toys in so they don't get lost in the bottom of the toybox.

We received this as a gift for my son's 2nd birthday, it is GREAT! It is large, deep and holds a lot of toys outside. Durable and has a nice look too. Love it.

This is a great toy box! I read the reviews about the lid being a problem, but all you all to do is take it off or leave it up. I have 2 year old twins, and I am glad the lid is not attached. This lid would end up getting in the way. If your child has a lot of toys, this toybox has an ample amount of storage space. I am very pleased.

What a great way for your little one to get their daily workout! Climbing sliding and running all around it this climber is a hit! Lucky for us we found it in front of an expensive home out for trash! So because it was free makes it all the better! Now when mom doesn't have time to go to the park Abby can still get her climbing in for the day. I expect we'll get years of use out of this toy. Maybe because it had been assembled and disassembled before it was very easy to just snap together.

My son absolutely loves it, well worth the money. It is definitely something for a 1 year old with great motor skills. The fact that it adjusts to their age is the best part. In less than 1 month my son has mastered all of its obstacles and feels confident about all the climbing and sliding that he can do on it. I have no worries when he is playing because of its durability and its flexibility. Great toy, I recommend it to everyone, even if their child is under 12 months old.

We purchased this gym about 6 years ago, right after we moved to the area and built a house. (It was actually one of our first pieces of furniture!) Our son was 1 1/2 at the time and we moved to Cincinnati from Texas in the middle of winter so you can imagine the weather shock! We thought this would be a nice thing to have in the house to buffer the move for everyone. Don't worry, we finished our basement last year and moved the jungle gym downstairs, so one now sees a formal living/dining room instead of Disneyland upon entering our humble abode! Also, in my defense, I ran a home child care so it did not matter that people saw this monstrousity when they entered my house because the whole room looked like a pre-school so it was actually a "business-booster"!!

Our son is now almost 8, our daughter is 2 1/2 and we have another on the way. This jungle gym has amused and entertained many neighborhood children and adults and is still in perfect condition. As most people would prefer to have it outside, we like having a playland during winter. Our kids can still exercise and stimulate thier gross motor skills in their indoor gym. Though I would not recommend putting it in your dining room, it's a wonderful addition to a basement if you're opposed to putting it outside. We had it outside temporarily a couple years ago, and it did get a little sun-faded. When we had our second child and realized she was part monkey, we decided to clean it up and bring it back in. We have taken it apart and put it back together several times and I think it's finally found it's home. To the other reviewer, something about Finance guys and this jungle gym just don't add up, no pun intended!! Taking this geometric device apart and reassembling is like an intense therapy session for us as well, but at least we get to spend time together, right?!

Final Tip: in addition to a flat head screw driver, a little vegetable oil will help do the trick as well.

Out of the thousands of toys we own, this has been, by far, my favorite to watch the children play with! It has been anything from a pirate ship, to the millenium falcon, to a baby nursery! Their imagination will run wild and that is, of course, my favorite part of the wonderful world of children.
