Toy box is fine but the lid is another story. I went to the store to see this item in person and was very disappointed. The lid sits poorly on top of sandbox, offers little to no protection. Get another sandbox for your child!!!

My son is turning 2 in a month so we bought him this sand box. He LOVES it! we cant tear him away. My husband and i also like it, Because it looks good on our patio and it doesnt stand out.
Its a good value for someone with a small outdoor patio or deck that is covered.The shape makes it take up less room than the animal shaped ones and its bigger!

Although, I do agree that the plastic it is made out of is not as good as the animal shaped ones. This one is thinner but its not that flimsy like some say. However the cover IS flimsy and i could see water maybe getting in if it rained hard. Or the cover blowing off in a big wind. We have NOT had that problem because we have a covered patio.
That is why i gave the durabilty of the toy a 3 the cover could be made better. Other than that it is great.

I purchased this on sale at TRU for 39.99. The more expensive ones ($50-70) may be a tad sturdier, but I don't think the difference is significant. I think this is a great sandbox for the price.

I bought this with lots of expectations that my 2 year old son would love this and he can play on it alone all the time, as he does it in his daycare in the slide. But alas, I'm disappointed. The assembly was really horrible.. I'd a little hope that but for the assembly it would be a great toy for my son. But then, the width of the slide is too narrow that a slightly healthier child cant rest their full back on the slide. While sliding down, they dont land safely. My son is actually thrown a feet ahead in the front with his face down, as he is thin and my friend's daughter gets her back of her head hit at the base of the slide, as she is chubby and not thrown away. For either kids, its not safe. And my son is terrified to play alone on this. He needs our help. Not a great toy!

I was able to assemble the slide within 20 minutes, as other reviewers have. I can't imagine anyone needing four hours and a drill. When putting the rod in, I put a wire coathanger (unbent with a small hook at the end) in the rod to both guide it through the holes and tug it. Worked like a charm.

Our 21 month old daughter loves the slide. At 5 feet long, it is twice as long as the slides on other climber playsets (i.e. the Step2 Woodland Climber).

Like any outdoor play equipment, we put a good six inches of soft wood chips on the ground surrounding the slide for safety.

We recently bought this slide for my son's third birthday and he loves it. We were hesitent to buy this after reading the reviews but it was very simple to put together my husband had it up in less than 10 minutes. It's very sturdy so my son can play with it for quite a few years.

We bought this for our son's 1st birthday. Turned out he was really too young at the time, but at about 18 months, he started using it regularly, and now at 2 1/2 and a big 35 pounds, still loves it! The sounds are realistic and loud, and it rocks very well without being dangerous. Only thing was, one time the police siren went off by itself at 3:00 am, and we thought the burglar alarm was going off and it scared us to death! But it only happened one time. Overall, very pleased!

I purchased this toy at a garage sale for $[...]. My son was only 10 months old at the time. He is now 2 years old and has played with this toy almost everyday since it was purchased. This is the best, most durable toy. The sound effects are excellent and it is well worth the full price even though I was able to find it at a bargain.

My 17-month-old visually-impaired grandson loves this toy, especially the noise it makes. He can learn cause and effect from this toy: if he pushes this button, a noise is made. His occupational therapist recommended it for him. It's very durable.

I bought this toy as an alternative to my stroller for taking walks around the neighborhood. My son (I bought this for him at 17 months) would get bored in the stroller, so I thought this would be fun. Well, he does really like this car, but there are some issues with it. First, there is no safety belt, so your child can attempt to stand whenever the desire moves them. Second, when pushing him on cement it is extremely loud (my husband wanted me to stop using it for this reason alone--I cannot overemphasize how loud this thing is! We were concerned with hearing loss). Last, although there is a cup holder on the inside for baby, it would be nice to have some type of holder on the exterior for the parents--to hold a beverage, or keys or something. If the wheels were redesigned to make this toy quieter, an exterior cup holder added, and especially a safety belt added I would give this 5 stars. For now, I give it 3.

I bought this for my son when he was 9 months old. He too got bored with the stroller. I loved the built in cup holder! The only problem was that since the floorboard was in he would try to stand up. There was no seat belt to secure him in. We found a way to fix the problem: We cut off the staps off an old grocery shopping cart and bolted them into the back of the car. This completely worked and was a life safer. So if anyone needs a seat belt try that.

The assembly instructions are vague at points. Here are some pointers so you don't make the same mistakes I did:
1) Put the tire stickers on BEFORE you put steel axle through!

2) Be careful how you put on the front wheels. I got left and right wrong and had to diassemble and redo. B/c of this, one piece broke but it came with an extra so I was lucky.
3) Part "N" is not a screw, it's the bigger plastic orange piece.
4) There are 2 ways to set the door. One is to nail only 1 screw so you can slide and lock door. The other is to nail 2 screws so your child can open/close as they please.
As I said, they give you only visual instructions so you get confused at some points, but if you follow my tips you can do it yourself in no time. Oh and my 17 month old son LOVES his new car.

I bought this for my 2 yr old daughter. I was so surprised at the quality for Little tykes. It has no storage and the refridgerator door would not stay closed. I think it should cost half of what it does. I purchased the Step Two kitchen when my daughter was three, and it is way better by far.

If you are interested in this kitchen because you would like to expose your children to new languages, I would keep looking. My goal was to expose my daughter to French, but the quality of the voice is so poor that I can barely understand what is being said in English! The quality of the construction is fine but, frankly, you're paying for the added bonus of the languages and it simply isn't worth it. I would recommend looking for a regular kitchen, whose design you like, and finding another way to introduce language.

This kitchen is reasonably priced with lots of kitchen accessories. My 2 1/2 year old daughter has fun playing with it when she's in the mood to play kitchen. It has most of the "kitchen" things you'd think of: sink, dishes, pots, pans, oven, mixer, etc. The food has RFID chips built in so when you put them in the pan/pot on the stove, it speaks and says things like, "mmm, eggs... and... bacon, you're a great cook! (frying sound)". This mostly amazes adults.

The biggest gripes are the oven is unnecessarily small (like they were trying the RFID in the oven as well and it didn't work) and the refrigerator door has HORRIBLE fit and won't close.

Overall, for the price this kitchen satisfied and has lots of accessories. If you can live with the bad fit and finish, this is one of the more bargain kitchen toys available.

My son recieved this as a present for his 3rd birthday. He was so excited because he loves music so much. The first day the cymbol broke and the small attachable drums kept falling off. Don't waste your money on this!!!

My daughter loves the drums so we thought that this would be perfect for her 2nd bday. It broke the day after we got it and would never stay together. We took it back and thankfully got our money back. Found out it was not even made by Little Tikes, but another company and Little Tikes slapped their name on it. they may want to rethink that.

The drums constantly fall out of the set. Even Crazy Glue can not keep this drum set together. If you want to put it together every time your child hits the drum 4 or 5 times buy this product otherwise I recommend staying away!!!

With so many toys full of bells, whistles and rock music, I was hesitant to get this for my 4 year old. I have to say, it is his absolute favorite truck. It is simple, plain, and tough. The trailer comes off, and he can pretend it makes any noise he wants. What a great product.
