My Son's Mega BloksMy son wanted this set and loves it. We had to put it together for him as he has trouble with this sort of thing. He does love playing with it. It was shipped quickly and the directions were easy.
Secure The Dam Secures My Vote!I really like this toy but the plane is break-y.
Challenging to build, but worth the effort. The Command Ops series is essentially "G.I. Joe", which is very cool because Lego doesn't do military themes. The Command Ops team has three different special ops teams: Air Ops, Land Ops, and Sea Ops. This set introduces a new team: Night Ops, which is presumably a combination of all three (like Navy SEALS). Included are three Night Ops characters, a military tactical fighter jet, and a very large X-Ops building with three X-Ops minifigs.
The plan for this mission is to infiltrate the X-Ops headquarters and recover a top secret test tube. It's stored in the building and guarded by X-Ops agents, who wear red uniforms. Our heroic Night Ops guys wear dark gray uniforms.
Mega Bloks minifigs are usually very cool, sporting nice texture and paint jobs, sort of like mini action figures. The Night Ops and X-Ops guys here are no exception. They all have cool detail on their uniforms, great texture, and quality paint jobs. These minifigs sport a unique and inventive feature. Each guy has two pegs on his back. Included are a good variety of weapons. There are many different types of guns in this series, and they're all designed so that they can be snapped onto a peg. You can snap a rifle onto a guy's back, and it looks like he has it slung over his shoulder. Very cool. Your extra guns and gear don't have to be laying around. You can outfit your miniature troops appropriately, with gear and extra guns on their backs.
The main attraction here is two-fold. First, a military tactical fighter jet. It has an opening cockpit that seats a pilot, two spring-loaded missiles, and a button for missile-firing sounds. The jet requires quite a bit of assembly, with building blocks and specially molded pieces. It's an inventive mixture of building toy and snap-together model assembly. Fully assembled, the jet is quite durable and attractive. It's well designed, and it looks great.
The set piece here is a very large dam with bridge, defense platforms, a missile launcher that can fire three spring-loaded missiles simultaneously or one at a time, a sliding garage door, command center, and a radar atop the dam that causes little "water" pieces to flow out of the dam when the radar is hit by a missile. There is a lot of construction involved here. Lots of gray building blocks of various shapes. The support beams for the defense platforms must be built from the ground up. The bridge has pre-made support beam pieces. The brick walls of the dam are large pieces, but there is much construction that goes on around them. This is a lengthy building project. Some parts of it were challenging to assemble. But the end result is quite impressive. A large base of operations for your X-Ops guys with a really nice command center.
Also included is a jetski water vehicle that one guy can ride and a zip line with grappling hooks so that your infiltration team can make a quick getaway. The test tube has a secret code on it that you can use to access Command Ops games on the Mega Bloks website.
This is an impressive building set with over 600 pieces. It's nice to finally see the X-Ops command base. The tactical fighter is very cool, as are the unique Night Ops minifigs. As a whole, the Command Ops series is creative and nicely designed. My verdict: thumbs up! Now we just need a Command Ops Headquarters for the good guys.

My Son LOVES this Farm!!My 2 year old absolutely loves this toy! He received it when he was 6 months old and it is STILL one of his very favorite toys. It is super durable (the only thing that doesn't work is the sound effects for the see-saw.)
The Mega Blok animals that come with it (a cow, pig, and hen) are sooo cute. My son has had hours upon hours of pretend play with this toy. I would definitely recommend it!

YeeeeeeeeeeeeeeHaw!!This was the best gift for his first birthday and my 3 year loves it too. Now six months later they still play with this daily. The oldest likes to act out farm stories and the youngest loves to play with the tractor, build with the blocks and dance to the tunes. Very versatile toy.
My daughter loves this toyI purchased this toy for my daughter when she was 9 months old. She is now a year old and has loved this toy from the first day she got it. When she first got the toy she would pull the animals off of their little stools. Now she pushes the buttons to make sounds. She has also started pushing the tractor around the house. She enjoys listening to the animal sounds and music. I don't think she will get tired of this toy for some time since she still needs to learn how to build the blocks and pretend play. It is still the first toy she grabs when she wakes up in the morning. This is a great toy and my husband and I enjoy it as well.

fun but not better than the fire hammerI got this from my brithday I loved it.later I got the fire hammer it is the best.
Iron Predator vs. T-RexFirst let me talk about Iron Predator. Iron predator is tank with a cannon and missle that you can fire. It also has a ladder. Now let me talk about T-Rex. It is a T-Rex action figure with moving arms, moving legs, and a moving head.I reccomend this toy!
Lego finaly made somthing cool!I think that the DINO ATTACK! legos are the coolest ever. Especialy this one. It comes with 4 army dudes, a 10 inch mutan T-Rex, and the coolest tank(The Iron Predator). The cannon on The Iron Predator really fires! The mutan T-Rex has light up eyes and mouth! I'm tyring to collect all the sets. It isn't very easy. So far I have The Iron Predator, Urban Avenger, and The Street Sprinter.

Isn't The Best Toy Yet It Isn't The Worst Toy EitherI had sent my husband and our 5 year old son out to buy groceries at one of the super stores the other night and they came home with this. Apparently they got lost looking for the meat department and ended up in the toy department instead, what a shocker right? Since the container clearly stated for ages 7+ I wasn't exactly thrilled that my husband agreed to buy it. There were so many little pieces that my husband had to help our son put it together. Once it was finished two things ran through my mind. First I didn't think our son would be able to fix it if it fell apart, which it will, a lot, if played with roughly. Second there is a black zip tie like thing that has to go into the back part of the spider then has to be pulled out rather quickly in order to make the spinner on it's back fly off properly and I didn't my son would be able to do this without help or would end up getting so frustrated that he would just ditch the toy. However to my amazement I was wrong, he has been able to fix it each time something has fallen off and he has been able to work the launcher without any problems. I plan to purchase more in the future since he has enjoyed this one so much. However, if you hate toys with little pieces then this isn't the toy for you. If your kids aren't good about keeping toys and their accessories together then this toy isn't for you either because once you lose the black zip tie thing you can't launch the discs. As for the age recommendation I really don't think a 7 year old could put this together his or her self, it is a bit complicated but again I could be proven wrong.
Please do not overlook this wonderful line of toys!I have resisted buying these because they seemed so cheap...also the usual question we parents always ask ourselves..."What are they going to do with them?"
My son received his first bionicle from a friend on his ninth birthday...it was cleverly the "bow" on a birthday present. I now regret overlooking this wonderful line of "lego's" for so long! My boys love these! They have the best time building them and an even better time playing with them.
They are priced reasonably so you can always pick-up one as a treat during trips out "shopping". If you encourage your children to "save-up" for some of their "wants", the cost of these is low enough that it doesn't take them months and months to realize their goal.
Please do not make the same mistake I made and misjudge these toys. You will be denying your child a great experience.
Although the manufacturer suggests ages 7 and up, I do not feel a child younger than 8 or 9 would be able to independently put this toy together. My 7 year old needs some help putting these together, but he loves to try all by himself. That is the point of Lego's, to construct and play. The primary benefit, in my opinion, is the satisfaction of "doing it" yourself!
A definate A+ for our boys!

Fear The Green OnesI haven't owned a decent Lego set in years. But with the growing popularity of the Bionicle line, I decided to pick this one up (for some reason, I've always liked the green ones). Speaking of which, for reasons that are beyond me, this Visorak (along with the Suukorak) is priced slightly higher than the others, even when they're on sale. Still, a bargin's a bargin, right?
On to the review. I was able to build my Keelerak with no problem, in less than a half hour. When I was done, it left out 2 spare parts that you don't really need, and an extra rubber band. Also, the head is prone to flipping over. But by pressing down on it, you can keep the head in place and close the Keelerak's pincers.
Being my first Lego set with legs and joints, I love the way you can pose this thing. Plus, you can fold the legs under the body and store the toy in its canister, nice! But the parts holding the front legs together are kinda loose. The hind legs are better.
Finally, the Bionicles' coolest feature is also where my biggest problem with the toy lies. It's understandable, since the spinner launcher is made up of just 3 parts. The spinners spin across the floor one minute and fly up a short distance the next. I guess this takes some practice. On the plus side, you can shoot the spinners at a longer distance by raising the head.
While it didn't exceed all my expectations, this is a great toy for Lego fans, young and old. I just might get another Visorak to crawl around my house.
