A NightmareThis thing took about 6 hours to build. The directions are terrible and extremely difficult to follow, but I figured it was worth it because it just looks so cool. Unfortunately after completely assembling the thing and flipping the switch the motor, on fresh batteries, didn't have enough power to lift the ball the almost 6 feet consistently. We spent as much time trying to get the motor to do what it was supposed to as we did building it. Ours also came with a special ball that had a skateboarder inside. He looks really cool, but the motor never was able to lift him more than about a foot. I love KNEX, but this set is a DUD!
Big Air Ball Tower = Big Air Fun!This is awesome! Really, every other K'nex item is, too, but I think this one is the best! It is pretty hard to build and falls apart easily but is lots of fun!
Engineering MarvelIf you have no mechanical ability, stay away. If you enjoy creating something that will give you a great deal of satisfaction, buy this! I gave this to my 8 year old son after he had completed 3 different setups of the Roller Coaster set. He did run into a couple of problems, but that is where I stepped in to lend a hand. To see the look on his face after it was complete was priceless!

Doesn't hold up!We gave this to our 6 year old for his birthday and it was broken before bedtime. The base piece that is the remote control and wheels etc. was not made very well and now he cannot make any of the featured robots. He has other Gears sets so he can use the peices for other projects, but this one is very disappointing- especially for the money.

A sincere disappointmentThis set is about as un-Mega Bloks as you can get. There is nothing to build or assemble, the rock pillar cannot be attached to any other set, and the detachable dragon is designed with such a connector piece that he cannot attach to anything other than the rock pillar he comes with.
The general idea behind this set is interesting. Magnetic force keeps the dragon's flame levitating above the ice shield, but this gets old pretty quickly. This set has no versatility or room for creativity nor interaction with other sets. It simply stands on its own.
Perhaps the only positive aspect of this set is that I like the wizard that is included, and (yes) he can detach and mix with other sets like any Mega Bloks figure.

Lead?The little metal balls and the tips of the colored pieces have all turned color (black spots). It feels gross!! I hope it doesn't have lead in it.
