Not sureMy six year-old received this for his birthday and hasn't given it a second glance. But he was the same with Lincoln Logs a while back and now loves them. So I haven't given up hope yet.
Classic for a reasonBrilliant. Simple, easy to use creatively, encourages practice with spatial relations and engineering.. My (currently four year old) son plays with his Tinker Toys all the time. He never seems to get sick of these!
3 Year Olds Favourite Toy When shopping for xmas presents I wanted to buy a "building" set and I was recommended that Tinkertoys were very popular in the USA - I am a brit so never really knew what this toy was.
Not wanting to do lego's yet, but wanting something better than megablocks as we had outgrown them alreadythought what the heck and bought it a box of Tinker Toys for my son.
I can honestly say it was the best [...] we spent that year. He has played with this by himself, or with his dad or/and me, who have built all the toys on the box ! Its a really fun toy.
BRILLIANT !!
and the large box is enought btw to build things, and also, just enough pieces that they dont get lost and will get picked up each time.
Also great size pieces as younger than 3 cant swallow anything, but intriguing enough for the older kiddies to build with :}

Exchange ProcessThis is the worst customer service I have ever received from an online company. My son received a gift from his an\unt and it was a duplicate of an item he already had. I tried to exchange the item with the original shipping information, but because he received the item beyond 30 days from the ship date, they would not allow the exchange. I, as well as my family, will never be ordering from this site again.
Good, decent set...finally some "behind the scenes" action.Usually the large Dragons sets are castles or strongholds or some form of battlefield. After all, they are usually more...exciting. This set finally introduces fans to the first major kind of, behind the scenes set. Here we see where our warriors are and what they're doing when they aren't battling the heck out of one another. This is where the new Odaku forces make their magically imbued weaponry.
It has three major elements (not counting the dragon): a large furnace, a blacksmith shop, and a crane/prison. Overall, the new "oriental" theme is great. I was getting a tad tired of the European derived look of the past building sets. I love the pagoda looking pieces. I only wish there where more. The set isn't terribly hard to build...at least not in my opinion. The three main components are separate, so the won't fall apart when you move them, since the don't share a base.
The furnace is neat, but painfully easy to build, and not much room for cutomization. I built it without instructions. It lights up and includes batteries! A separate conveyer belt for forged weapons is included...though it doesn't work as smoothly as I'd like. Neat though. The weapons shoppe is actually simple, yet neat. Even comes with a little anvil to hammer on. Comes with an array of weapons, both new Odaku stuff, as well as old weapons (even some katanas from the Ninja Turtle sets). The jail/crane is nice, but I kinda wish there was a clear "reason" for it. What is it supposed to lift? The dragon is cool. They kept the standard four legs, a tail and two wings, but added an oriental flair to the head. Has some removable armor, which is neat. The wings...kinda blow. The aren't ball joint or hinged, but bendy wire articulation, and permanently attached too. They are quite stiff, and don't give a wiiide range of movement. The figures are just too cool. I love the new design asthetic for the Odaku and thier weapons. To get the Odaku leader, Scylla, you need to get this set. You also get a bearded bald guy (a henchman or a general?), and one regular warrior. You also get one old figure...a lone Draigar guy.
My only major complaint about this set? NOT ENOUGH GUYS TO PLAY WITH!!! Only four measly warriors? I've noticed other sets suffer from the same problem...overall, the Odaku are getting grossly out-numbered here! Only ten Odaku altogether. You can possibly buy doubles of certain sets, or the new troop builder set...but you gotta spend more $$$...
Final verdict though, good set. A nice addition to the Mega Bloks Dragons kingdom.

Terrific Educational Entertainment for the whole family! Our children, ages 1 and 2 1/2 received the Delux Wedgits as a gift and really enjoy them! The whole family tries to make different structures with these unique shapes. The booklet provided with the Wedgits offers many great ideas for assembling the Wedgits. They are lightweight, easy to clean and travel well too! We look forward to adding onto our Wedgit collection!
You won't be able to stop playing!!I bought the Junior set (15 pieces) for my 2 year old and she loves them! I can't believe how much fun she has playing alone and how much fun we have playing with them together. I even want to play with them after she goes to bed! She plays with them much longer than other toys. They stack in so many different combinations, the possibilities seem endless. This is a great open-ended toy that's sure to become a classic. I want the 30-piece set now!! Get the cards, too. I bought mine from Magic Cabin and it included the cards. The cards give you examples, and you try to build them. You won't believe how many different ways you can put these together! It's great for problem-solving! These are much easier for toddlers to manipulate than Legos and much more engaging.

Dis Rox!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!But it should have a Cedric minifigFour words: THIS SET IS BRILLIANT! The Minifigures are Harry, Voldemort (You-Know-Who), Wormtail, Malfoy(Death Eater) and a bunch of skelys. If I could improve it, I would add a Cedric Diggory minifigure. But, apart from that, cool and spooky! Hey, I'm the SECOND person to review this!
Ha! I'm the first to review this! This lego is awesome. It comes with Harry, Voldemort, Peter Pettigrew, and Lucious Malfoy. This is a must-have for HP fans like me. It has 4 graves and the pot that Voldemort rises out of. It also has the Tom Riddle grave and the gravehouse thing. I hope they make more Harry Potter 4 Legos. Right now there are only 4.

K'NEX 425 Piece Super Value Tub
Amazon base price: $
Average review score:

The best knex toy i have ever had!!!!!!I just got my knex super value tub on 6/2/06 and I already love it. I have made a windmill. Well that is all i have made so far. The only things I did not like about this toy was that the tub that it comes in was hard to open. Also the motor is kinda stiff. I rated this toy a 5 because with out all the bad things it is a perfect toy for any knex lover!
Even a teenager will build with this!We got this for my son when he was 12 years old. He has
built the coolest things like a remote control holder, a baseball bat, a baseball card holder, etc. Even now at the
age of 13 he still builds things. His friends do also when
they come over. The contraptions that they are able to come
up with are so creative. These are completely unlike legos
in the fact that you can make things bend with the right pieces.
I truly recommend this.

Great Toy!My seven year old is delighted with this tub and its booklet of instructions for a plethora of building ideas. He had a few little sets and can now store all his pieces in the big blue tub. We can play together and bounce ideas off each other, and his three year old sister can be included (she's handy for finding the pieces he needs). My only complaint is with the lid- he finds it very difficult to open.

100 Piece Wooden Block Set
Amazon base price: $
Average review score:

From the Board Games Editor at BellaOnline.comAll children like blocks; it's a universal. This set is a lot like the blocks most of us would've had when we were kids, before plastic became more common than wood. For the price, this really can't be beat; order two sets and you'll never need to buy blocks again!

Lego Stories & Themes Bionicle Vahko: Ultimate Dumerator (10202)
Amazon base price: $
Average review score:

A beautiful bionicle--pricey, though! My son really wanted this bionicle, but bionicles are so expensive that I only buy them on sale, and this item--from toysrus--was priced reasonably (about half the normal price). It's really beautiful, with at least three complicated and attractive figures buildable from this one set, and is pretty sturdy (none of the pieces fly off, as is sometimes the case). I'd say it's the best one I've seen yet, worth a full $25 or so. Unfortunately, the normal retail price is more like $50.
Bionicle Vahko: Ultimate DumeratorI bought this bionicle for my son (7 y.o), and he enjoys is very much. The box contains three bionicles, and you can combine two or three of them to make a bigger bionicle. Younger children (<7 y.o) may need an adult help to build them. It is also a value for money to buy the three bionicle in one, because you have to pay more if you buy the all three separately.
Its OKIt's an OK set, I tried it, but I mean its not like TOTALLY AWESOME, just OK. I recommend it though for those who don't have any of the 2004 Titans.
