at what my son can do with these. He is 7. He got them for his birthday and he LOVES them. He will sit for hours with them or his legos. I bought the ones for his birthday as an addtion to the ones I bought him for Christmas. He can follow themore difficult directions and is creating things on his own now that are quite elaborate. I think it really helps with skills and with learning about how things work. I was worried with the small pieces but the tubs make them easy to put away and will be buying more in the future.

My twin boys are 5 and can hardly sit still. That is unless they are playing with their K'NEX. K'NEX building pieces are easy to play with, and unlike other building toys, almost anyone can come up with something fun to create. My only regret is that I didn't buy the bigger tub the first time!

I got this pesent for Christmas last year. A few days later I started to make it. It took aprox.4 hours to build. It was fun at first then after 2 hours my hands were hurting and I figured out that alot of peices were wrong and I tried to undo them but my hands hurt like heck. So I left it like it was for a few days. Then a few weeks later my brothers friend came over and fixed it for me. He built it all correct. The music wored fine but the motor would not spin the BIG wheel. It also was quite loud. I dont rate this toy for kids under the age of 11. It was reallt hard. The friend of my brothers was 18. LOL

This toy was my favorite Christmas present this year!I love to do this kind of thing because it is so much fun!On some of the reviews it says that this thing was hard to put together.They probably just said that bacause of how many directions there were.There are a lot of directions but they are very,very,very easy to follow.I'm only 12 and had the ferris wheel done in about 30 minutes!The other rides took about 30 minutes also!This is a really great toy that is definately worth the price!I definately reccomend this toy!The rides are huge and really work good if you connect the gears correctly[which is very easy]!
I do think they should have at least gave you a carrying case for the pieces though,which they don't.

I got this toy last year for Christmas at my Grandparents' house, but started building it anyway. It took my dad and I about 34 min. to finish it, mostly because my little cousin kept on playing with the music module, it took us that long. It's about 2-3 ft. high, and about 7 in. long. When we had to go home, we had a hard time fitting it into our truck. As soon as we got home, I played with it for about an hour and a half. This toy is very amusing. (Warning, small parts included. Not reccomended for infants that still put miscellanious things in their mouths.)

the whole Kid K'nex sets are great! My 5 year old son loves building "machines" with these sets, he has been building with these for a couple of years and he still loves them...a must for any young builder!

This is the first Kid K'Nex toy that we bought for our 3 1/2-year-old boy and he loved it. The parts are big enough for the preschooler's hands and very easy to snap together. First he made many different designs by himself and was very proud of it. After a month, he started trying the designs in the design booklet. I was surprised to see that he was able to duplicate the models, though I prefer that he makes his own designs which he still does. I like the flexible parts and wish there were more than 2. Overall, I'm very happy with this toy.

I just got my knex super value tub on 6/2/06 and I already love it. I have made a windmill. Well that is all i have made so far. The only things I did not like about this toy was that the tub that it comes in was hard to open. Also the motor is kinda stiff. I rated this toy a 5 because with out all the bad things it is a perfect toy for any knex lover!

We got this for my son when he was 12 years old. He has
built the coolest things like a remote control holder, a baseball bat, a baseball card holder, etc. Even now at the
age of 13 he still builds things. His friends do also when
they come over. The contraptions that they are able to come
up with are so creative. These are completely unlike legos
in the fact that you can make things bend with the right pieces.
I truly recommend this.

My seven year old is delighted with this tub and its booklet of instructions for a plethora of building ideas. He had a few little sets and can now store all his pieces in the big blue tub. We can play together and bounce ideas off each other, and his three year old sister can be included (she's handy for finding the pieces he needs). My only complaint is with the lid- he finds it very difficult to open.

This product is fun for the whole family. I hope my kids have as much fun as I did with them when I was young.

I really really like lincoln logs. Everyone does. But, we bought this and received a big bin half full of lincoln logs. Why don't they fill up the bin? Also, the little roof was plastic, limiting the types of houses you can build. The old-style wood slates were better.

Sometimes reviewers seem to lack a sense of adventure. They surely know the Internet will take them back in history & all over the map; thus, they can easily discover that LINCOLN LOGS have been honoring President Abraham Lincoln since 1916 /AND/ continue to win not only 'kid appeal' but applause from an increasingly intergenerational group of "toy connoisseurs"!

It happens I have some 'grands' that could build right out of their imaginations a more convincing "Prairie Homestead" ~ but that's what toys are all about, isn't it? The homestead comes in a bag with horse & some "real" cowboy types, and Reviewer mcHAIKU recommends that you buy it /with/ the Stagecoach Station in-a-CAN! That way, you can ALL get down on the floor & build this impressive two-story structure complete with windows . . . OR . . . YOU, the reader, can leave it to the kids and use this great block of time to pursue your own back-LOG :~) of reading: specifically, with the absorbing Doris Kearns Goodwin book "TEAM OF RIVALS: The Political genius of Abraham Lincoln" (isbn: 0684824906) ~ a truly significant way to celebrate President Lincoln's birthday.
