I wish I could give this toy zero stars, but Amazon doesn't have that rating. This item was selling like crazy on EBay, so when I found it here, I snapped it up. Normally, I don't buy things until I've been able to check them out first hand.

And this is precisely the reason why. I opened this figure and pushed the button to make it work. The first time, it just made a panting noise like the Scrat character does in the movie. The 2nd time, it collapsed and tipped over and made more panting noises. And every other time I tried to operate the toy, it did one of those two actions. I honestly can't tell if I got a broken toy or if this is supposed to be how the the toy works. It looks like the toy is suppose to scoot across the ground, but mine tends to tip over most of the time. Either way, it doesn't really do anything. I think even the youngest kids will be bored with this toy after about 20 minutes and it'll end up in the bottom of toy box after that. And, now, I'm wondering why I was so interested in the toy to begin with. My advice would be to save your money, because, unless you can get it for like [...] or less, it's not worth it.

Admittedly, the mechanical execution is a bit weak but so what. If you love the little critter and get a kick out of him, it really doesn't matter. Of course, in the spirit of Scrat, it sort of makes sense that he doesn't work quite right...

Ok, this toy does not deserve 5 stars but the other reviews were far too harsh. The first 30 minutes of my chihuahua terrified by this thing were worth the price. As a stuffed animal it's very cute but not too cuddly because it's hard plastic under the fur. I love scrat in the movie and the sounds this thing makes are quite funny at first but the do get boring soon unless you have a family pet to terrorize like I do.

Here's another trick. Put Scrat on a pillow with your hadn behind him so you can make him move and wiggle his tail without being seen, then have someone bring in the family pet. When I lunged at the dog's feet he screamed as being run through a meet grinder. This may sound cruel but I assure you the dog was not hurt and now enjoys showing Scrat who's the boss whenever we turn him on.

I cannot say enough about the little vehicles from the movie "Cars". We were lucky to purchase 8 of them the week before the movie released and I just purchased 2 more of the sets. I have heard the trouble in getting these little gems and I think it was supply/demand shortsightedness. My 5 year old son plays with the vehicles for hours and does not even want me to throw the packaging away! I can definitely say they are worth the money to buy. Hopefully, more will be available in the future.

I can't say enough about these cars! They are so nicely made and feel great in your hands. Small enough to carry around and big enough for little hands. Great quality, sturdy and superior look. Collectors are buying these up like hot cakes and ebay is living proof that people are willing to shell out the cash for these. Especially for the ones that are harder to find.

Someone wrote a review on the Mack Truck Playset that no stores have them. They have been sold out because there has been a rush on these toys even before the movie release. Hopefully as time goes on and if they keep producing them they will be easier to come by. That's what I am hoping for. I don't have all the characters yet and would like at least one of each for my son, maybe even more for collecting.

Love this figure; this was a great Spawn series.
If you collect Spawn, you know the company LOVES to make two versions of its figures. I believe the figure here to be the varient of the series! The one I got from TRU isn't showing as much skin; there is a part of the outfit over the chest to neck.
Actually, I think mine looks a lot better... But, I think the picture here is of the more rare one?
Always something to be wary of when buying Spawn figures online.

My son loves the Jay Jay series and all of the wooden characters...and Old Oscar is no exception. They are well-made and pretty durable. Just be aware that if your child does manage to break one that the "100 year guarantee" that they advertise is as worthless as the paper it is printed on. You have to pre register the product to get the guarantee to get service and only the wooden parts are covered. Since it is most likely the plastic components that will break, that isn't much good. When my son broke one of the plastic wheels on his blue Jay Jay plane I called for service and got so much confusing runaround and snotty attitude that I gave up and just shelled out the 12.99 for another Jay Jay (which is what the company intends you to do I am sure) They want you to think that you are getting "Brio-like" quality and service but the reality is anything but. My son loves these toys and they are relatively durable but they shouldn't be compared to brio or learning curve quality wise. By all means buy the carrying case to protect these overpriced toys.

This, along with all of the other wooden Jay Jay characters, were purchased for my son for christmas and he was the happiest I have ever seen him! They are VERY durable and soooo cute! If your little guy(or girl) likes airplanes or Jay Jay I HIGHLY recommend this and all of the other wooden Jay Jay characters!

My son loves these Godzilla toys!!! It is really a neat collection from the movies. Space Godzilla is cool! If your child is into Godzilla, you will probably collect these toys and the movies both. Compared to the dvds, the toys are quite affordable! And as a parent who has to open these toys, it is refreshing to merely cut two plastic bands to get the toy out of its package! :)

This is the Black & white version of the same Frankenstein Figure by Jakks Toys no doubt put out due to the success of Sideshow Toys Black & white Silver Screen series of classic monster figures. Unfortunately Jakks simply doesn't measure up in quality.

Jakks pacific (somehow) got the rights to put out three figures based on Universals Classic horror figures: Dracula, the Wolfman, and Frankenstein. Jakks has always been weak when if comes to figure detail athough they have improved somewhat since the days of their earliest wrestling figures. In general, the Universal monsters they did are fairly weak, lacking detail and only bearing slight resemblance to the actors who portrayed them.

Of the three, the Frankenstein figure, taken from A scene in Bride of Frankenstein, is probably the best. Bound in chains after being captured by a mob of angry villagers, the monster would soon break his chains and escape. I think the figure looks a little too "good" to be the figure from Bride who was burned and charred from surviving the fire in the windmill at the end of Frankenstein. Sitting and bound by the chains the figure looks pretty good and the base, chair, and chain detail are all pretty good. But Boris suffers really amateurish articulation at the knees and elbows and looks like one of those 4" GI Joe figures.

It's not a bad figure. Decent enough for display but nowhere near the quality of the Sideshow Universal Monster figures.

Of the three Classic Monsters Figures that Jakks Pacific has put out in conjunction with this year's blockbuster monster romp "Van Helsing," the Frankenstein figure is the best of the original Universal Monsters (the other two are Dracula and the Wolf Man). Of course to be correct this is the Frankenstein monster immortalized by Boris Karloff since Frankenstein would be the mad scientist played by Colin Clive in the original movie. This Series 2 figure presents the creature in his original black & white, although if you prefer your Universal Monsters colorized you can go back and check out the original Classic Monsters Series figures.

This scene actually comes from "Bride of Frankenstein," usually considered to be the best of the Universal Frankenstein movies. After the monster is captured he is put in chains in the dungeon of the local jail. The stone seat with the wooden back is one of the most famous sets in monster movie history. You can also show the creature breaking free from his chains. The figure is articulated at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, waist, hips, knees, and ankles so there are lots of possibilities, although keeping the figure upright can be a concern.

I consider the Frankenstein Monster and the rest of these figures to be educational because they will certainly inspire a new generation of viewers to go check out at least the original film and its famous sequel as well as maybe even Mary Shelley's classic novel. Even at the start of the 21st-century everyone should know their movie monster heritage along with its literary antecedents and this Classic Monster Figure can certainly help the young folk along in that regard. For the main course you can check out the "Frankenstein: The Legacy Collection on DVD," which has not only the original "Frankenstein" but also "Bride of Frankenstein," "Son of Frankenstein, "Ghost of Frankenstein," and "House of Frankenstein."

I love this toy. It is carved very vell and is a great scene from the universal asylum.
I leave it as a sculpture, but you can remove the figure and the chains for an equally good affect.

My son got this for his 4th birthday and absolutely loves it. Our 2 yr old likes it, too. It's neat how the cape moves as superman flys. This toy is similar to the superman action cape. This toy is worth the $.

Although these dinosaurs are identical to Slasher the Allosaurus & Tremor the Mammoth, these do come in a NEW & different color than the originals. Both dinosaurs have a lever that moves the head and neck, but Tremor also makes an elephant sound when the switch is in the "on" position.

The quality & durability of these dinosaurs is awesome. My 4 year old has several and keeps wanting more!! I have no regrets on this purchase!
