Don't be fooled. This is one of the most fragile sets ever.
A must for Star Wars and Lego fans. This set is incredible. So much detail that a collector would love it and huge amounts of mindless fun for everyone. This set requires lots of time ( took me 6 hours but I'm a slow builder ) and is well worth some frustartion you go through. The bags are numbered so after one part is complete you go onto another bag so looking for that one tiny piece isn't that hard. Another added bonus is the 9 minifigures you get which well adds some force to your Imperial army. The only downfall to this set is that it is fragile at some points. The bottom of the ship is fragile, if your grasping it from there and then lifting it, well it breaks. So what I did, is added some more pieces to the bottom to make it more durable. Over all the biggest and greatest Lego set I ever built. HAVE FUN!!!
This would make The Emperor proud!!!!I bought this set just a few days ago and I must say that while it does seem pricey, it is completely worth every penny. The amount of detail inside this fantastic set is just mind-bogging and pure genius. It took me 4 hours to build this model and that was with no breaks!!! The mini-figure selection is unique and quite generous; the coolest feature inside the ship is that you can put Darth Vader inside his meditation chamber and put his helmet on when being interrupted by Imperial minions. I feel that this set is a worthy addition to anyone's Star Wars collection, and truly gives the builder a sense of accomplishment once completed. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!

Great toy, but pulling up dangerI bought this toy for my infant a couple of months ago, and she loved it. It is really a cute toy. I think I like playing with it as much as she does. However, when she learned how to pull up on it the whole thing tipped over away from her. She fell over the top of it, and she hit her mouth. She has not been quite as interested in it since this happened. It is a great toy, but extra care should be taken once your baby can pull up.
Great toy!My neice and my son each have one and they both love it.. as does my four year old! they are so cute.. this is the first toy that my son actually played with! It is very cute. If I had not gotten it as a gift, I would buy it! Great toy..
Great toyI bought this for my daughter about a month ago and she quickly figured out how to get the gumballs to roll out. She was trying to play with it before I even got it out of it's box in fact. She loves to make all the balls come out at once instead of waiting for the music to finish but that's ok. She loves anything that lights up and since we live in a small town with only a Walmart to buy toys at these kind of toys are hard to find. She especially loves the ball with the smaller balls inside (she's also obsessed with rattles). This toy is very durable so far and I love it. Fisher Price makes some of the best toys around and I love the Peek a Blocks concept and now the Peek a Balls.

It's nearly impossible to keep togetherI've built this castle on a table and it still falls apart. It's really cool looking, but my stepson who is 7 would never be able to build it and keep it together. I'm 35 and I can't get it to snap together half of the time. It's either the spacing of the pegs or the fact that they are too short. The towers and all snap together ok, but trying to get everything to adhere to the base is nearly impossible. If it's this frustrating for an adult, how can a child build it? I'm very disappointed in the Mega Bloks. Lego would never have this problem. I've played with Legos for over 30 years and never had construction issues like this. It's really neat looking, I have to give them that. Too bad it's so hard to play with.
3 Hours of working to put this together and it barely holds. This is a very impressive looking castle. The battering ram is great fun and the whole thing is beautiful. I would be a great addition to the Oduku Armory. However, the artists who designed it were let down by the engineers who figured out how to make it work.
The pieces barely snap into place if at all. My son was looking forward to this for days. I consider it unfair that they put so little work into the construction design. If this were to be put together and sit on a shelf to look at it would be difficult.
Instead, it is very upsetting for both parent and child. I've found similar issues with other MegaBloks toys. For all of thier good points (beautiful design, background story), they seem to have lost sight of the point.
Toys are to play with.

New schtick, still cool...but not perfect...Okay, I guess you can consider this the headlining piece of the Mega Bloks Dragons METAL AGES line. Aside from being the most expensive, it's also the largest.
Overall, the design asthetic of METAL AGES seems to be a generic "oriental" theme. It combines elements or Chinese, Japanese, and even Mongolian art and design...at least in my opinion. It's great to see something other than the usual European derived stuff we've seen in the past (not that they weren't cool too). The warriors are 70% new...except for the legs. The weapons are the coolest yet. They range from axes, swords, decorative crossbows, to weird...uh...things. They kinda remind me of Battle Beast weapons (if you're a fan of 1980's toys). Now on to this actual set...
As soon as I saw this, I wanted it- no, needed it! It looks so cool. Plus the dragon has a totally new look too. As usual, this set can be kind of hard to assemble; I'll agree. Alot of Mega Bloks sets are tough, for some reason. The top layer, which contains the main play area, and most decorative elements...is built in four major sections to be later attahed to the bottom layer. I found the top layer pretty easy to build without hang-ups, but the bottom- UGH! I highly recommend building this on site...whether you're playin' or displayin'...and on a flat surface. I've often ignorantly tried to build some Dragons sets on my rug, and failed. The main problem is the base is built in section, not one piece, and is loosely held together by a few crummy peg blocks. Despite this set back, I got my set together fine, but newbies might wanna invest in some patience before attempting large sets like this.
The bottom layer utilizes the quick-build style pieces like the large Fire & Ice Dragon Mountain set. The castle wall pieces are all new! The relief sculpture near the doors is new as well, and very cool. The doors are pretty darn neat and have magnets in 'em to keep them shut. Above the gates is a section housing a decorative battering ram. Release the lever in the middle and it busts the doors down, knocking out any enemies in it's path. However...I thought battering rams were used to break INTO castles? Eh, still neat though. Surrounding that doorway piece are four other sections. To the right, are a decorative, throne-like section and another room with a piece of crystal atop it. A stone spiral staircase leads to this area from behind. To the left are a catapult area, and another decorative tower with torches. Not bad, but mostly decorative...no major gimmicks or action features. You also get a rolling seige tower with hinged gang plank, and a nice little wheeled cannon with dragon motif. The dragon is neat, and all new as well. In trying to keep with that oriental theme, the dragon is snakelike and looong! It still had bat-like wings though. Except for the hinged jaw, the body has only bendy wire articulation, as well as some small pieces of removeable armor. The tail has a great grappling claw perfect for hooking in victims! You's think the dragon would be impossible to dispaly, but being semi-stiff, he actually props up nicely amidst the castle walls. The extra brick column can be used to help keep him up as well (hey, you gotta use that leftover piece for something). The figures are surprisingly few, but still awesome. The Odaku are great, as I stated before. The Norvagen forces get a color change as well as new torsos...complete with double pegs for weapon storage (I assume).
The best parts of this toy are the new design detail and theme. I love the new dragon and warriors. There's lots of room for custom creations...especially when combined with other sets.
The only bad things are the usual problem of sturdy construction and lack of internal castle detail (nothing going on 'round back). The biggest specific problem is lack of figures! Overall, METAL AGES suffers from a severe lack of armies. True, you can buy multiple sets or troop builder packs, but who wants to spend more money?
On the whole this set is quite awesome to behold, but still needs a bit of work. Recommended for your Mega Bloks kingdom!

It Just Doesn't Work!I bought this for our daughter's first birthday as she loves tub time. It worked for about 3 seconds the first time and then didn't for several weeks until the entire bottom portion got wet, then it mysteriously started working. It never works on the single mode, but will on the "orchestral" mode where the whole band plays, but the entire band plays only if the bottom of the toy is wet (hey, that's not in the directions). Of course, it ALWAYS works when I take a shower.
Should have read the reviews first.

Absolute JunkMy daughter loves bath time and fish -- so I thought how perfect is this toy! And like all the other reviews of this toy, ours didn't work either. In the begining, it intermittently worked at best, then quit working all together except at night when no water was present and the toy was left on. If you are looking to buy this toy -- take your money elsewhere.
Use soapy water I got this for my daughter and found that it did not work. I got a second one that worked at first and then stopped working when i took the demo plastic insert out. I was so mad that it did not work. We even hooked up a power tester to it and it worked when we had it hooked up. So just to see if it would work i tried putting soapy water in it. That worked it has worked well ever since. The only problem is the suction cups dont work.

My 3 1/2 year old loves itThis is a great toy. And with the new reduced price - it's a steal. This was a piece of cake to assemble - yes, I had to follow the directions, but I had it up and playing in about 45 minutes - and No, I am not very techno and handy. The lair has a lot of cool things, like a zip line, and an elevator with an escape hatch, a plunger shooter and a sofa the can tilt over to get rid of the bad guys. So much fun and very imaginative for young minds. I love it!
My son loves itThis was a lot of work to put together (I thought so, my husband thought it was easy) but my 3 and a half year old son LOVES IT. He has spent days playing with it and he loves all the little things you can do with it. I think the original price is a little high, but if your kid loves Ninja turtles, they will probably like this too.
It 's winner in our house!I was nervous about this after reading a few reviews on this and some other toys simular to this one. My son has had alot of fun with his other figurines ( Star Wars, Batman, Dinosaurs, etc) hanging out with the Turtles in the lair! Dora has even made a visit. My son gets frustrated easily so I was concerned about the durability. It' just fine! We dont close it up, it stays open in his room and it travels all over the house. It has been alot of fun for my son! I am glad that I chose this Lair over the Batman cave.

WHAT A SHAME!My son LOVES the rescue heroes & we have a tremendous collection of their items. This is by far the WORST of our collection - for the life of me, I can't get any of the Action Max characters to fit properly & crank the wheel. It is not nearly as durable as previous RH vehicles. It has found a permanent spot in our basement storage area. Avoid!
Is this Fisher-Price? I bought this fire truck for my grandson's fifth birthday,I bought the Rescue Heroes for Christmas. It really is not very sturdy, the doors do not stay closed, the ladder doesn't twirl all the time, the Rescue Heroes steering gadget doesn't always work, sometimes yes, sometimes no. However, my grandson is thrilled just to have it and plays with it and all its faults.
grandsonI had this sent to my 4 year old grandson. His parents really liked it.He plays with it outside.Seems to be sturdy.

too good to be true!My two sons love this toy so much that when my oldest got it for his birthday they fought over it. Now I am getting one for my youngest son's birthday. It is a very sturdy well made toy that looks just like the movie character.
Batman rulesMy son got this toy for his 5th birthday just a few months ago *I paid full price and it's worth every penny. My son LOVES his batman and takes him everywhere. He is pretty rough on toys so I was worried about the cape surviving but it has done great in the many travels and adventures of a 5 year old. It's a great size for great big fun!
NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!THIS TOY IS THE PIMP OF MY ACTION FIGURES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its of the heay cuz its poseable and the cape action thing comes off i recomend this toy for 7 and up cuz some times its hard to get the cape to get the wings to go in after you put them out overall this toy is worth the money the price just dropped get it now b4 itz gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GI Joe 12 Inch Midmight Drop Army Paratropper
Amazon base price: $
Average review score:

The last of a great GI JoeMy 7 year old son was so disappointed that Hasbro decided to discontinue the 12 inch G.I. Joe. This Joe comes with a lot of great gear, a working Parachute and a great uniform. He loves it and is still asking why they Hasbro has gone with the 8 inch line. The whole point is to be able to pose them and be able to buy additional uniforms and gear to play different time periods. I have purchased vehicles from WW II and Modern time periods to go with the Joes we have for epic outdoor battles. I grew up with G.I. Joe, and have started my son with them. Hasbro has made a big misstake discontinuing the 12 inch Joe. Yo Joe!
realistickly real I like the gijoes that look like the real soldiers... I think that hasbro should not make those stupid sigma six and valor vs venombecause they look like (small soldiers) I mean realy they are made of hard plastic and the cloths don't come off, they have stuff like (plasma super cannons). And about the body don't get me started about the body, the arms are bigger than the legs scary! take it from me a real army brat the colectible gijoes play better then sigma6 and valor vs venom JOEL S. FORT RILEY KANSAS 1st INFINTRY all the way!!!!!!!! HOOA!
C'mon its a G.I. Joe This G.I. Joe is a real american hero. This is one of the best to ever be put in production, trust me i know i have over 120 of these bad boys. The real paratrooper is action is a plus sometimes i like to climb the cell phone tower in Old Man Jenkins cow pasture and throw him off and watch him glide down gently. (A little advice, a homemade parachute made out of a quilt and some fishing line does not have the same effect). But anywho i would definitely recommend this action figure to any child or 38 year old man who collects and plays with them.
This set looks awesome. Okay, we understand ech other. This set is FRAGILE. I picked it up once and the bottom flew right off. This is definately a display set. Too much play and it breaks. I need alot of plates on the bottom to toughen it up. The green bars in the guns, I don't like those. There is also a "laser blaster" that uses a lever which doesn't work. The bridge is very small. You can't even fit two figures in it at once. The interior is pretty cool. I really like all of the cool stuff they put in there.
There are two Stormies, Vader, a mouse droid, an awesome looking black R2-D5, an imperial officer, and Grand Moff Tarkin plus Two Royal Guards (???). Seriously, two royal guards? G. Moff I understand is for playability and all, but two royal guards? I'm sure many people, inlcuding kids and myself, would have rather had 4 stormies to build up an army. The guards seem useless without the Emperor...
There you have it. Yes, I did type this in a hurry. The UCS ISD is greater than this, but hey this is minifig scale. I honestly don't think this is a bad set. Just average. I don't know if you want to shell out $100 for this though. 3 stars!
