Accoutrements Crazy Cat Lady Action Figure - 11377
Made by Accoutrements
- This 5-inch tall, hard plastic Crazy Cat Lady Action Figure comes in a blister pack with her SIX CATS. Yes, this is what happens to the type of woman who gets a new cat every time she breaks up with a man -- she turns into that Crazy Cat Lady who smells like kitty litter 24-7.
- Are you a crazy cat person? Take the quiz Do you get excited when you hear a can opener?
- Do you think cats are smarter than people? Do you feel Tom is more talented than Jerry?
- Do you bring your boyfriends home so the cats can meet them? Do you later break up with them because your cat wasn't impressed?
- Can you tell your cats apart by the roughness of their tongues? Have you ever had to explain to a police officer that the stuff in the bag really is catnip?

Great gag gift for the cat obsessedI gave this gift as a stock stuffer to my cat-obsessed sister and we had more laughs over it than anything else around the Christmas Tree. If you have a cat-obsessive friend, neighbor or colleague, this is a great way to tease them about it!

Getting kids to use their imaginationsThis is just a puppet in which you can make its spines pop up after you push them down (it took a little bit of time to figure this one out as the instructions weren't clear). There is a trigger inside the puppet near the mouth that makes the spines snap open.
It makes sounds that change based on its position and its eyes light up. Using regular mouth open and close movements, you can move its mouth. The inside lining is smooth like silk. The outside has a smooth rubbery feel.
It comes with a couple of bad guy figurines and weapons. One of the weapons broke in half easily. All I was doing was putting it into the figurine's arm... and snap it went. The bad guys aren't worth keeping. The puppet is good quality. The lower score for durability comes from the figurines that broke easily.
Most kids have plenty of toys laying around that the dragon can munch on. It can't swallow anything as there isn't any hole. When you move its mouth closed, it makes munching sounds. When the spines pop, it makes a popping dinging sound.
The nice thing about this toy is that it's "stereotypically" a boy's toy. Boys don't like to play pretend as much as girls (this is based on experience of having one girl and two boys) and the dragon encourages my son to use his imagination. Since it's based on the popular Fire and Ice Dragons, it's likely to interest boys.
The review from Mathew is right on. My son (7), surprisingly, hasn't played with it much yet.

Awesome!Alright, let me level with you up front: I have no kids. So, yes, I bought this toy for myself and am reviewing it on its own merits and my impressions. Therefore, you'll have to decide from that whether it's alright for your children. Despite being a adult -- complete with adult sensibilities and responsibilities -- I'm a lover of all things draconic, and blessed with a fine spirit of play. I tend to collect dragon toys and don't mind admitting I can have a little fun with them while I'm at it. :)
This toy, frankly, is awesome. It's basically a puppet, of sorts, with lights and sound. With your hand in the dragon, you can open and close the mouth, and pop up the spines (you have to push the spines down afterward). Besides that, the dragon makes different sounds depending on its position. Rolling your hand left, right, up, down, and closing the mouth all elicit a response from the beast -- everything from a growl to a roar! It's definitely fun to rear back and roar, before chomping on some of the baddies on the battlefield (a couple are included as appetizers).
The dragon is well-made. The inside is padded and has a nice soft lining. The outside is a sort of rubber, and the padding inside lends a nice definition to the dragon's features. The jaw plates, as well as the spines are made of plastic, which gives them some tangible hardness. It is this fact, however, that leads me to note two things: First, this is not a soft toy. While these parts are covered by dragon 'skin' and a little light padding, they are still there. And, second, since this toy has some plastic parts (jaw 'bones', spines, and speaker box), durability against heavy use is questionable (i.e., while the plastic is pretty solid, *too* rough play has the possibility of causing some damage). That said, under normal use it seems as though this dragon could offer a long life of fun play. Despite the fun factor, be warned: it makes noise, and lots of it! Since the dragon does everything from roar to crunch, be prepared to hear a lot of it. Even moving the dragon, without a hand in it, elicits a growl (wouldn't you after being jostled?). Don't worry, though, if -- after all that time growling, and roaring, and chomping -- your dragon seems a little too pooped to say anything else, just two AAA batteries (two are included and already inserted) are all that's needed to perk him back up.
As far as educational value... well... It's a fun toy, but I'm not necessarily sure what it could teach your children. Perhaps that dragons can easily chomp little troll-like warriors? It can definitely spark some imaginative play and that's -- I think -- the most important part.
All told, I have to say (again) that this is a fun toy.

Krypto and Kevin are Kute!Great toys! I love that they have made a figure of Kevin and I love his backpack (wings pop out of it and he can "fly" with Krypto). The only problem (and it's minor, mind you) is that Krypto's head doesn't turn...it only moves front and back. Because he's "flying" his ears are stuck in a "wind-rushing-through-them" pose. The individually packed Krypto looks better, imho. Having said that, I love that THIS Krypto has jointed front paws. Awesome.
what is thiso.k they said on the Krypto website krypto toys would be coming out fall 2005 they did not include some charecters like brainy barker tail terrior and brainy is the leader of the dog star patrol she should get her own toy what do they think she is stupid no and the dvd is good but what about features like how to draw Krypto
great but....Kevin got on my nerves after a few plays... the backpack Wings could be a real choking hazard for little kids as they could break off. Krypto is made of heavy plastic and the cape is a rubbery type of plastic. well made but the feet could break off if the screws get loose and come out.
the DVD has no menu screens as well as no extras... All in all the DVD has a cool cartoon.. No chapter breaks onscreen either. The leash tends to come off too easy when you try to make them fly... I could keep this as a collectors item for fans of the show.

Batman Begins Action Figure: Ninja Bruce to Batman
Amazon base price: $
Average review score:

The Bruce is good but not the BatmanIf you are looking for a good Bruce Wayne figure, get this one. It is actually the best looking Bruce yet. What is also fun is that you can put on some ninja accesories which look good too. The ninja mask fits very well and creates a nice effect with Bruce's eyes (he actually looks like Tom Cruise which is ironic since right now Tom is dating the movie's star actress). However, if this figure interests you because it can turn into batman, well you will get quite disapointed because the result is not that nice. Although the Batman accesory fits onto Bruce's face and all, it does not look good. Batman seems to be looking down since the accesory peice has no neck and it makes Batman look "fat" and squatty. That dissapointed me. It's best for collectors since they just preserve the figure in the box (which looks great that way). Also this figure has some small peices which can easily get lost. Overall, I gave this figurine three stars. That's because I averaged out 1 star for Batman and 5 stars for Bruce.
Fine Figure, Suffers from AccessoriesThis is the "Batman Begins" line's obligatory Bruce Wayne figure. It depicts (I suppose) Bruce's training as a ninja to be Batman.
The figure itself is very nice. It has the 10 points of articulation which appears to be standard for this line, which, as I said before, is less than I hoped for but not crowded. Paint is okay, especially in the detail work (Bruce's eyes), although I noticed at least three flaws in mine. The sculpting is good, especially Bruce's face.
The accessories are where real points are lost here. Bruce comes with gear to make him both a ninja and Batman. The ninja gear consists of two, for lack of a better term, "shoulder gauntlets," a sword that clips to his right forearm, and a ninja mask. The sword is all right, but I had some trouble getting the shoulder gauntlets to stay on and they could be lost easily. The ninja mask is not made of plastic, but a soft rubber. I suppose this was the only way to do it, but it looks prone to tearing. As for the Batman gear, it's a one piece cape, cowl, chestpiece, and belt assembly like we're used to. This, however, is not of hard plastic, but of that same rubber material as the ninja mask. This, more so than the ninja mask, worries me in terms of tearing, and I can just see an overzealous child tearing it and having a fit. So, be careful with it, PLEASE! This brings it down in durability marks in conjunction with the ninja mask. The paint on the Batman piece is a tad sloppy as well.
Overall, one of the line's definite must-haves for the collector. Children will probably want this too, and I stress again to be careful when using the masks. It is, however, a decent figure, and certainly one of the better Bruce Waynes to come along.
