    best set
This is a great set!! I like it because all the detail and the army men are really cool! I've been looking for army men like this for a long time!! It's only drawback is that it's hard to get the pilot to sit down and hold the controls at the same time but otherwise it's lots of fun!!!

Quality could be better, but the kid loves it
My son who is almost three loves anything Buzz Lightyear so when he got this he went nuts. He plays with it a lot and doesn't seem to mind that it's actually a piece of junk. Lucky for us someone gave him mini sized Toy Story 2 action figures (Disney Store i think) at Christmas because they're the only ones that fit. I had no clue, I bought it on clearance for $9.99 and didn't even think that the normal action figures wouldn't fit. It's very flimsy and I shutter everytime he drops it. I know one of these days it will be in pieces. The rockets are kind of cool, one fires from on top, the other from under the ship. And the light up flames on the rockets add some quality to it. It's worth the 10 bucks for my kid who is getting my moneys worth out of it, but there's no way I would have paid the original $20 for it.

        disappointment
We ordered this Buzz Lighyear Spaceship for our 2 1/2 year old son for Santa to bring. Our son loves Toy Story & Buzz Lightyear and he requested a 'rocket ship' from Santa. We thought this was the perfect gift! We placed the order on December 6th and it did not arrive until December 23rd. Unfortunately, this spaceship is WAY TOO small for the HUGE Buzz Lightyear figure we also ordered. It was unclear to us that the spaceship was so small and the Buzz figure that was advertised with it were not compatible. So, my husband and I rushed out to Toys R Us on December 24th to desperately find a Buzz Lightyear figure that would fit this rocket ship. Luckily it worked out, and my son was very happy on Christmas morning, Now, less than 2 weeks after Christmas the rocket ship has had 1 door broken off and the shooting rocket bent so it no longer shots. My son is not gentle with the toy he plays with it, but he's had it less than 2 weeks maybe 3 full hours of playing with it and it's broken. This toy is a disappointment.

No Buzz and Hasbro is NO HELP
I contacted HASBRO after several attempts I was finally able to get through. THey were virtually no help at all. They apologized and said, they can't help it if the stores don't have any and that I could buy it their direct website. Rediculous.

I also purchased the Action figure which is about 5" and it doesn't fit. Hasbro says I need the 3" which is in the adventure pack. SO, I now had to spend another 8.99+ 4 something to buy it online at TRU. PErsonally, I think they should have let me buy it at a reduced cost! Oh and now I see that the space ship is 11.00 at TRU after I just pd 19.99 2 weeks ago. GRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!

All in all, I'm disappointed and so is my son! He thinks Santa forgot a piece.

Time for quality control Mr. McFarlane
To be brutally honest, I was really looking forward to this dragon from McFarlane's Dragons series. Mainly, it was the pose of winged flight which I found on the test shots, excellent for my needs, which is a diorama/web story. Previous McFarlane dragons, details aside, have been hit or miss. For creatures that are associated with great stories of flight, he designed very few of them in this position.

Upon opening the box, as the others, I was a bit put off by having to construct the wings. It has been my experience with McFarlane Dragons that the ones where the wings are preattached, are more durable than those not, save for the Komodo Clan, which as Series 2 goes, is the quintessential piece in the lot. You will find, that if you are looking for a great dragon with lots of poseability, the Komodo Clan series 2 is that dragon.

My issues with this larger set are specifically, that one wing. Upon really giving it the once over, I find that there are some serious design flaws in the assembly, and for a wing of that weight, it would have been better served with a plug and hole assembly, like the Komodo, than this mere slide which frankly, depending on your box, will not stay on unless glued. It is entirely not fair to the child, teen, appreciator of fantasy toys, or the collector, to assume the role of Gepetto the Toymaker when trying to fix design flaws, or worse, issues of quality control. This is not the first time that McFarlane toys have been criticized for such quality issues. Just because they possess great sculpting, details, and paint applications are no reasons for the consumer to accept nothing less than a toy, statuette, or figurine that will not break upon opening, or cannot be assembled without industrial adhesives.

Beautiful piece, but somewhat concerned about assembly
This piece, the sixth and final figure of the second series of Todd McFarlane's Dragons, is quite remarkable and beautiful to look at. It finished off my collection (at least until the third series comes out!) and it only adds to the splendor that McFarlane intended with his dragons.

However, that being said, I only wished there was some kind of instructions to come with it. Now, I realize that there are only three or four pieces total to assemble before it's complete, and three out of the four I managed without difficulty; it's the collar around the next that's managed to confound me. There's no peg and hole to close it around the neck, nor any form of clasp. Only a forked end and another end with a hole. Now, how does that work? Let me know when you find out.

The wing to assemble may also be a hazard to younger buyers, as the claw-tips are rather hard and by no means stunted at the ends. Be careful as to how you handle it when you push it into the socket (and I do mean push--it's no easy feat), for it's possible to cut yourself on them.

Once assembled, pat yourself on the back for your effort, then be sure to set it up in such away that it doesn't lose its balance, as it's done as much several times. I've had to tweak the dragon on its pivot a few times before I found the find the right balance. But don't worry should your dragon tip over. It's pretty durable and hard to malform should it be placed in an awkward position (and don't we all just hate it when plastic malforms!). For that, it gets points.

If you're into dragons or are a Todd McFarlane fan, despite its minor shortcomings, this is a piece worthy of your mantle. It's a four out of five.

          THE BEST IN SERIES 2?!
Awwww, a dragon that is in flight. The Eternal dragon Boxed-set, in my opion, captures a dragon in flight beautifuly. McFarlane finally did it! The dragon has a 20" wingspan and stands, just under 10". This dragon also has a rider on it, but not human. He appears to be a minataur. He is well designed sitting atop a saddle. The dragon has a spiked collar as well as strapes to hold the saddle in place. The wings are NOT transparent, but it has a fairly good paint job. I won't lie, THE WING IS HARD TO SNAP IN! (WARNING - Be careful not to break the harness while puttin in the wing) If the wing won't fit, shave a LITTLE of the nob off, and super glue it in (I Highly recommend model glue). Besides that, this boxed-set is EXCELLENT. It looks great with the other dragons as well as by itself.

            Very low quality
It's sad to see that the space toys based on the actual space program are not good ones. My son loves space and space exploration, but he hardly plays with this set. The shuttle does not stay on the tanks, even when sitting still.

I like the fact that everything fits into a box. If only the toy were higher quality!

I'd buy it again, but just for the fact that my son loves space and the space program so much.

            Very small set
Our 8-year-old son wanted space stuff for Christmas and this was about the only set we could find. I couldn't tell by the picture how big the figures, vehicles, etc. were and the other reviews were not really very helpful since they were mainly complaining that the set was not meant for small children.

The set is actually very small. It is the equivalent to something you could find in a dollar store, but with more stuff and a nice storage box. If I had to guess how much the set cost I would say no more than $8...I paid $15.

On the plus side I was able to fulfill my son's wish to get astronauts and space vehicles for Christmas, although it was not exactly what we had in mind.

            Rushing into things
For those of you who are looking for an "educational expirience" and feel that you were jilted with this toy have forgotten one of the mose basic premises of childhood......a childs job is to play.
This toy was a bit over priced for what was recieved yes, but leaving a child with their imagination is a far better gift than any leap pad or other electronic device. The learning comes from being able to make connections, build stories, follow through on thoughts, learning how to play with others, expanding vocabulary so forth and so on. Sometimes the most basic toys really are the best.
This was a well recieved toy from children in my life and the hours it was utilized far outweigh the price paid.

                Somewhat Disappointing
Like someone else wrote, my figure also did not come with the motion tracker and pouch as described. I actually bought my figure from McFarlane's online store. They have a customer request form you can submit in case your figures came with broken or missing accesories or whatever, so I filled it out. Guess I have to wait and see if I get it. I have been buying McFarlane's Movie Maniac figures for a few years now and have noticed that the quality of the products has slowly declined. The older figures were so much better. However, since I love the Alien and Predator movies, I will still be a loyal customer and supporter, as long as they don't put any more of those terribly long arm blades on the Predators (I ended up breaking them all off on purpose).

                A must have!
All right this is a good figure. But like the other people mentioed mine had no motion tracker or helmet. Some verisons of this figure do have these. There is also a club version of the figure with a shotgun, alien egg, motion tracker, facehugger and a helmet. Anyways this a great sclupture for any aliens fan but it has low poseablity and lots of detail.

                Great
I loved the movie aliens and hicks was one of my faveriate charters! This toy is great but be carful the arm can breake very eaily! Take car of it!
