Lights up!!Bought this with Rock Miner and my 4 year old plays with them constantly. Such a bonus that the 'blade' lights up!! Helps the imagination run crazy!!
Fun action figureMy son has all the Rescue Heroes in the Beam Team collection. This one is fun with the large saw that lights up. He can really use his imagination when playing with this toy. Lots of fun for many hours!

good addition to rescue hero collectionMy son just turned four, and this is his favorite toy from his birthday. He loves rescue heros, and I think the smaller version is easier for him the play with (given his little hands). I wish the sub didn't have a big hole in the side (supposed to be crashed) and then they could use their own imagination for scenarios using the sub, but it doesn't seem to stop him. FYI, it goes in real water just fine, because he always wants it in the pool or tub.
great toymy 5yr old got this for x'mas and it is great he has the bigger verison comand center to but it is to big and takes up space and he never plays with it. he also got the micro moblie comand center for x'mas and he plays with both none stop. my daughter who is 18m also plays with it. great for imaganation for both kids. it would be nice if it made noise and talked like the bigger verison comand center.
Great toy!!!My 3 year old son just got this toy for his birthday and loves it. He has been playing with it non stop. I love that the big piece that the sub hooks on to doesn't come apart to a bunch of different pieces like a lot of adventure toys. The space station one is great as well. He plays with them together.

Money Well Spent! We just recently purchased this for our 3 year old twin boys. They have tons of the rescue heroes and we just got them the police car, ambulance, dune buggy, and fire truck for Christmas. I had a hard time finding this item in stores but knew we had to purchase this after purchasing the Rescue Heroes DVD where you actually saw the heroes using the M.A.C.C. We bought this a couple days ago and they have played with it non-stop and drag it to the tv so they can play with their heroes right along with video. It is very durable the only complaint is the new fire trucks won't fit in the ramp area but the ambulance and police car still do. The mission select heroes are hard to come by but we did find some in our collection that we had purchased in a gargae sale last year. This was a great buy especially since we got it on sale in Toys R US for only $12. This would be a great addition to someones Rescue Hero Collection.
It will work with Robotz figures!I know one main complaint was that there are no more Mission Select Rescue Heroes figures left in stores, as they were discontinued, and some of the aftermarket prices were getting up there (especially Rocky Canyon, the hardest to find in the set). Well, the Robotz figure line that is in stores now features figures with the same connectors on their back, so you can get them to talk. I don't know if it will be the main phrases that would be said if you had the Mission Select figures, but they will talk. For instance, when I hook a Mission Select backpack from Billy Blazes (the only Mission Select figure we have) up to Rocky Canyon, Rocky says a phrase for each turn of the dial. They sound like the follow up phrases, as if he was the second figure communicating with another mission select figure, but you still get some voice interaction!! The Mission Select, Voice Tech, and Robotz figures should all come with the same metal contacts on their backs (except the ones like Robotz Gil Gripper, whose robot stands alone and does not connect to him), so they will all work in some way with each other's items.
As for the MACC, it's definitely the center of the Rescue Heroes world, being the biggest playset released from the toy line to date. While it may not be the most exciting, it gives your children a central area to congregate the figures and vehicles. At least it can keep the figures from being all over the house! I think for the size and money, it could have featured some trap doors or compartments, but the elevator and Mission Command voices from RH leader Warren Waters are all you get.

My 3 yr old son LOVE this!I was very skeptical after reading the reviews, but I ordered it anyway, we gave it to our son for Christmas 2005. He loves it! I warned my husband about what I read about how people said it was so hard to put together. I however, know my husband, he is very good that way, he had no trouble at all. I was suprised how easy it was. It was daunting looking at the millions of pieces as we opened the box but they went together very easily and also came apart if we needed to. Out son loves it, another reason I was afraid is people said, in reviews once again, that you must find 'Mission Select" rescue heroes and that no other ones work. And that they are not readily available in stores, the are not by the way readily available. So I trusted the reviews and bought them from Ebay. BUT the reviews were wrong, you DO NOT need mission select rescue heroes. You need 'Talking' rescue heroes which are readily available from Toys rUs and else where. I think amazon had it marked, when we bought it, (...)because so many people gave it bad reviews, it was a bargain and our son even uses other people and animals on it, on the elevator. He has endless fun with it. It has sparked his imgination.

WHAT A SHAME!My son LOVES the rescue heroes & we have a tremendous collection of their items. This is by far the WORST of our collection - for the life of me, I can't get any of the Action Max characters to fit properly & crank the wheel. It is not nearly as durable as previous RH vehicles. It has found a permanent spot in our basement storage area. Avoid!
Is this Fisher-Price? I bought this fire truck for my grandson's fifth birthday,I bought the Rescue Heroes for Christmas. It really is not very sturdy, the doors do not stay closed, the ladder doesn't twirl all the time, the Rescue Heroes steering gadget doesn't always work, sometimes yes, sometimes no. However, my grandson is thrilled just to have it and plays with it and all its faults.
grandsonI had this sent to my 4 year old grandson. His parents really liked it.He plays with it outside.Seems to be sturdy.

Rescue Heroes- Al Pine with Arctic Tracker
Amazon base price: $
Average review score:

Its okay...Most of the rescue hero figures are pretty easy for my 3 year old twins to manipulate and assemble. This one was a little tough for them. They have not played with it as much as some of the other heroes with cool backpacks.
Al Pine and Arctic TrackerMy son really likes this one. He just got it for his birthday and it's slowly becoming one of his favorites in the whole series. It's a very fun toy and the Arctic tracker folds down by pressing a button on the back of the dog that comes with it (Windchill).
I was a little miffed that the tracker itself can't be removed from Windchill's back but again, it's still pretty cool. The other thing I'm a little concerned about is the durability of this one. The 2 very slim pieces of plastic that flip the sled down are pretty weak and already the latch/button has already gotten stuck a few times. If you're concerned about this one, then maybe try the Hal E. Copter and Copter set or the Bill Barker and Buster set.

GREAT TOY!My son just got this the other day and LOVES it. He has almost every Rescue Hero made and this is now one of his favorites. He loves how it transforms into a robot or then into a toy with wheels. He has the other small robot, Backdraft, and loves having them go on missions together. This is a great addition to the other police Rescue Heroes and robots.

Recall Alert! Will catch on Fire! Huge Dissapointment!*** Recall on this item. Reports of it catching on fire. See Safety First website for further info. If yours was manufactured between Jan 2004 and Aug 2005 call them.****
Bought this for my son's third birthday. He is in love with firetrucks since his dad is a medic. He was so estatic and drove it even though it was freezing cold that December day. His crushed expression hit us hard when after a half an hour it would no longer go in reverse. We try hard not to hurt our son's feelings and disappoint him so this was very difficult lesson for us. We took it back and after seeing all the bad reviews bought a Power wheels truck. He was so upset about this replacement that he told me a neighbor boy could have his power wheels truck. I cried for it was the first time I had let him down. All that he wanted was this firetruck and he won't ever be this age again. We were heartbroken. NO problems with the Power Wheels after 6 mo. And yes my son now loves his Powerwheels and I never take him to Toys r Us to see that wretched firetruck.

The day the fire truck went on fireLast year on my son's 4th B-day my mom bought the fire truck for him he was real happy to have it, the boys haddon had many hrs on it they liked the quads they have. On his 5th B-day he had a kids party and everything was like any other kids party games, swimming, water slide and the battery operated vehicles. They were riding they around when we saw smoke coming out the back of the seat were my 5 yr old and my 2 1/2 old cousin was riding, at that time I was running to were to the hose was on the water slide and at the same time my friend was getting them off the truck not after the 2 1/2 old put her fingers on the seat and burning her fingers, which we put ice on it to treat. When I got to the truck I couldn't believe my eyes there were flames coming out of the middle of the seat were they were seating and it was moving backwards, at the same time my 5 yr old looks like the earth just stopped moving and said Fire trucks put out fires not catch on fire. That was so sad to hear that and he still speaks about the truck and how he and his cousin could have been hurt. On Monday June 19, 2006 I reported the incident to Toysrus and the corp. office . They told me that they had to investigate the accident and I have not yet found out the results. I really hope I find out soon so that we can put this behind us.
circuit board replacementThe circuit board is always on backorder. Dorel Group has no idea how long it will take for parts to arrive. The circuit board is part of a recall, but mine was built after the recall dates and not subject to the recall, It appears they have not corrected the original problem.
