My 3 1/2 year old loves it
This is a great toy. And with the new reduced price - it's a steal. This was a piece of cake to assemble - yes, I had to follow the directions, but I had it up and playing in about 45 minutes - and No, I am not very techno and handy. The lair has a lot of cool things, like a zip line, and an elevator with an escape hatch, a plunger shooter and a sofa the can tilt over to get rid of the bad guys. So much fun and very imaginative for young minds. I love it!

    My son loves it
This was a lot of work to put together (I thought so, my husband thought it was easy) but my 3 and a half year old son LOVES IT. He has spent days playing with it and he loves all the little things you can do with it. I think the original price is a little high, but if your kid loves Ninja turtles, they will probably like this too.

It 's winner in our house!
I was nervous about this after reading a few reviews on this and some other toys simular to this one. My son has had alot of fun with his other figurines ( Star Wars, Batman, Dinosaurs, etc) hanging out with the Turtles in the lair! Dora has even made a visit. My son gets frustrated easily so I was concerned about the durability. It' just fine! We dont close it up, it stays open in his room and it travels all over the house. It has been alot of fun for my son! I am glad that I chose this Lair over the Batman cave.

Apparently Leo can break his back and still live
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles-TMNT Combat Warrior Leo Review

Who would have ever thought that I would be purchasing TMNT toys at my age(20's), well I sure as shell didn't. No, thats not a typo, you read that right. Now the question is can you say "sure as shell" three times fast. Anyways, one saturday I was briskly bypassing all the cartoons when I saw Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles flash on the screen. I gasped, images of little turtles filled my head. I must have entered a nostalgic coma or something because when I awoke, all I could hear in my head was "We are Ninja Turtles, resistance is futile". The huge merchandising dynamo of the 90's had returned, and might I add, in full Turtle force.

Now back then, anyone who was a kid, had a kid, or wanted to be a kid, knew what a Ninja Turtle was. It was Turtle mania back then: Three TMNT Movie Films, a galore of TMNT action figures; and heck, even Vanilla Ice got in on the madness with his memorable hit "Go Ninja GO." Ah, the good ol'days. Now as the review title implies, something happened between the time I freed little Leo from his package, and the time, or many times for that matter, that I curiously squeezed and twisted his little legs. I don't know what it was but when I went to squeze his legs to make him slash, I heard a SNAP, as a tiny peice of plastic fell onto the floor beside my feet. Well, unfortuantly I had severely devalued my new toy from it $10.43 price tag, but on the bright side, now I had a Leo that could spin his entire torso completly around.(sarcasm) "You see that peice of plastic on the floor Leo, yeah, thats your "stop here or your gonna break your back" piece of plastic, you probably needed that".

So anyway, in the end, I'd have to say I was disappointed. The fact that the engineers overlooked such a crucial point of toy making, DURABILITY. These toys are after all, marketed to Kids who by themselves, manage to destroy any toy rather easily; but with this particular toy, if I can by simply using the toy, then I don't even want to imagine a kids disappointment. A actual Kid probably wouldn't even have to touch the box. "Yay, a new toy, Oops, broken, darn. Hey Mommy buy me another one." Hey, maybe those engineers are smarter than we think they are.

        good lunch bag
Decent lunch bag. Seems to be well made. The water bottle is very hard to close and it leaks. My son loves it because 3 other boys in his class have the same one.

        My grandson loves it
My grandson loves his Ninja Turtle Lunch Kit. all the kids want one. My daughter likes it as it is easy to clean and very durable.

        lunch bag review
It is a lunch bag and not an educational toy. It serves it's purpose.

Crashin, Bashin, & Wastin Batteries Mikey
                    Kids,
Do not make your parents buy this toy for you. Yes, you love all things turtle, but this is a WASTE of money and time and it takes a bunch of batteries to make it run. Oh, and it runs really fast-into walls, dogs, little sisters, mom's feet.
They really could have made this a better/more fun toy. It just goes straight away and then bashes into things. You can't control it at all. Its a really poopy toy. Unraveling toilet paper is more fun.
Read the other comment the mom before me wrote. She is 100% correct.

I did however give it 4 stars for educational value. Because IF you do buy it after reading my review-you will learn the meaning of regret, remorse, and then patience as you try to prove me wrong by insisting this thing is fun. Shame on the TMNT for putting poor Mikey on this toy, even he doesn't deserve this kind of punishment.

                    Crashing Turtle
                    What it does:
You put the turtle on the skateboard/car and turn the switch to ON and the wheels run until it hits something and the turtle falls off.

My son who is almost three didn't think it was fun for more than 5 minutes and neither did I. It doesn't do anything but runs straight into a wall or anything that is in the way, crashes and stops.

Cons: It is very hard to place Mikey the turtle back on the skateboard, you have to align both feet onto two things on the board and press firmly and sometimes it falls off again before you even put it on the floor. But once it is on the board and it is running it stays on until it crashes (be careful with molding and furniture because it is pretty heavy and runs fast).

My husband and I decided to throw away the board and now our son has the turtle on a shelf in his room. I would not recommend this toy unless if it is for a child who is at least 5 or 6 years old who loves to see things crash.
