derive your pleasure from this by looking at it, because if you try to use it you will be vastly dissapointed. the doughnuts dont fall in homers mouth, you have to turn a little crank and it slips out of gear all the time, very sad-but the toy itself looks pretty cool.

I was very pleased when this toy finally arrived. The Blue Devil is removable and semi-posable (his arms move). He is the same size as the Simpson figures from the Playmates line of toys, so I feel like he was made with collectors of those figures in mind. The Homer donut-eating action doesn't always work correctly--the mouth and donuts aren't correctly synchronized, so sometimes the donuts miss his mouth--but that does not detract from the fun.

I BOUGHT THIS BECAUSE I LOVE THIS EPISODE OF THE SIMPSONS.WHATS COOL ABOUT THIS IS THAT YOU CAN TURN A WHEEL ON THE BACK OF THE TOY AND HOMER ACTUALLY EATS THE DONUTS,HIS MOUTH OPENS AND THE DONUTS FALL IN HIS MOUTH.MY SON AND I LAUGHED OUR TAILS OFF.

If you loved the classic game of Operation and you are a Simpson's fan, what could be better? The Homer Operation game. His comments make you laugh. Great game for any age.

At first this game can be downright frustrating and maddening for anyone of any age. With a little practice and strategy though it becomes easier and a lot more fun. Though some pieces will still be a little difficult but not too hard. Of course that comes after playing the game several times and developing strategies as to how to move the pieces within their holes to pick them up succesfully. So if you are just thinkin you can reach in and just take them out with no strategy you are wrong. So I difinetly don't recommend this for younger kids. My 5 yr old niece can only take out 3 pieces of the 12 which is not very fun for a little kid. So if you're thinking of buying this for a 6yr old kid forget about it. I think this game should have been rated for older kids because it's too dificult for young kids. The reason I put two stars for educational is your kids will have to come up with strategies to remove the pieces successfully. Also your kids will learn about the parts of the anatomy like the elbow, knee, shoulder etc. This game can be fun for older kids but for younger kids such as my niece it may be too difficult even with several games to practice. Therefore I would only recommend it for older kids to adults.

As a collector of Simpsons games it was a bonus to find this updated version to the original Operation that I loved as a kid and playing it brought back a lot of fun memories. This is one of the better Simpsons' games in my opinion. The sounds are great on this and its not hard at all to understand what Homer is saying. Also the buzzer isn't as loud as it is on the original game. Don't feel guilty about buying this if your an adult with no kids because as I said if you enjoyed the original its a bit nostalgic.
Not hard really to get even the smallest pieces out after you brush up on your "operation" skills. For children its great for the eye-hand coordination as well.

The Simpsons Couch Gags. That is the name of this boxed set. It is like the simpsons Ironic Punishment boxed set, but this time you can have more fun by moving around the entire family of figurines! But for Ironic Punishment, the only figure that can come off and back on the set is that blue devil. That set was good, but THIS will be much better!!!

I got this for my best friend's 9th birthday. It was a big hit among her and her friends.This set was my friend's first polly. My best friend loved this and opened Sister Style set right away. I agree with other girls that Kate's eye's look a little weird. But my best friend doesn't seem to mind, especialy because Polly looks beautiful. Polly's clothes show young girls the world of punk, so that is defenitly a downside. But Kate's clothes are really girlish, so I don't know what to do. If you are a mother who doesn't approve of punk looking things, take away Polly's clothes.

These clothes are pretty cool, but Kate's eyes are funny looking.Also, I think Polly Pocket should have better hair styles.I have the Lila and Courtney set and that one ROCKS!

Hi :)This set is so cool! I saw it at toysrus and picked it up right away!
But there is one small problem... Why is Kate's face so weird looking?! I don't realy play with her for that reason... But I alwase use a different Polly pocket doll for Polly's sister anyway... But I LOVE the Polly doll! I want to get the Lilla and Courntey set for christmas. And if I don't Im buying it! For 10 dollers it's a pretty good deal, I mean 2 dolls, 6 outfits (With a lot of different combinations!), 4 pairs of shoes, and a purse.That's a GOOD deal! Me and my sisters LOVE Pollys and play with them everyday!

My Boyfriend is a big Simpson's fan and collector. He really liked this set. Both the price and quality were just right.

I love the simpsons and I collect alot of their figures, especially ones with displays, and this one is one of the best by far. It is based on Mr. Burn's Bobo episode and it comes with a Smithers in a bear suit, a robotic Mr. Burns, a robotic Smithers dog and even the Bobo doll. IT's funny and it reminds you of the episode very well.

Buy this toy now while it lasts! The Simpsons is my favorite show of all time, and this is a great set at an amazing price!

This is an excellent gift idea for anybody! This chess set is definitely gets an A+ for fun! Even if you're not a Simpson's fan or haven't heard much about them, this set wonderfully symbolizes the intelligence of the family. Homer is crowned with a beer in his hand while Marge stands taller than the king himself with a rose close to her chest. There is Bart as the bishop, Lisa as the rook, Krusty as the knight, and Maggie portrayed as the pawn. I am surprised, however, that Flanders was not the Bishop. Afterall, he is the holiest of people, the most spiritual to spirits, and the most faithful of all God's faithless souls!
I was asked to rank this toy on an educational level and I gave it four stars. I did so because it is a game of chess. Simply, chess is an educational game that increases your sense of logic and reasoning. Although it is the Simpson's that we are talking about, the fact that if a person can play well with these peices without mixing them up with confusion, then I think you've accomplished something. Skill. As with any chess pieces that are represented by other characters or symbols, you obtain a good sense of awareness and strategy.
This toy is a very fun toy and I would reccommend it to anyone, ESPECIALLY if they enjoy watching the Simpson's. It is fun to play, fun to watch, and fun to display. Friends should definitely be impressed with this chess set!

It's a cool set to hard core Simpsons fans and World Of Springfield completists, but casual viewers of the show may think they got some kind of factory second with these early, crude versions made into three dimensions.

I bought this for my brother who is a die-hard Homer fan. I wouldn't really consider it a toy but a collectible. I really liked the retro feature of the set going all the way back to the style of the original Simpson shorts (probably only appreciated by adult fans, not kids).

I would not say it is really "fun" as it is more of a display item and certainly not educational but overall it is a really cool item for any fan to own.

These are the Simpsons you came to love on The Tracey Ullman Show. The likenesses are spot-on and the voices are great.

The puzzle is a lot of fun, but very hard. When I saw it I thought it would be easy, but its not at all. The different people make it so difficult to place the pieces where they are supposed to go. I did find it a lot of fun, but it took a long time.

As you can tell from the picture, this puzzle is a picture of any of the Simpsons characters from the television show. Some characters appear more than once (but only a couple of them).

The illustration is really quite nice and it is fun to try and identify the characters and their episodes. Because of the scope of the show, not every character is here but there is a good chance that your favorites will be here.

My only real trouble with the puzzle was that many pieces were not cut through completely. Leave them together, the thin puzzle stock is not sturdy enough to force them apart. The front or back will peel.

Other than the problem above, the puzzle was fun to put together and its lack of large objects made almost every piece a challenge. It provided several hours of fun.

My wife and I play this game periodically, just to have some fun. It's a cute game in which you have to match the cards in your hand with the characters found on a photo card you select for the round. There are options for thwarting your opponent's efforts and some humorous commentary and remarks on the photo ID playing cards that will make you chuckle.

In all this is a fun and entertaining game. I only wish they had more photo cards, we've been through them all already.

i just bought this game today from k bee toys (for only $3!!!). i'm having a lot of fun with it but it's better for more than two players.

but i'm still giving it a five even though there are onlyl two of us playing.

it's fun for any simpsons fan and fans of games in general.

the poster below gave a good overview of the game, but if i had to equate it to something, it's similar to gin rummy.

I bought this game, because the concept of it really appealed to me. It's different, and I like that.

There are 14 Group Photo cards, 72 playing cards, a scoring pad, 4 card stands, and instructions.

Each player gets one of the photo cards. Each card contains 6 different characters, in hilarious "postcard-style" scenes. Each player is dealt 6 playing cards. The cards consist of picture cards, and I.D. cards.

The object of the game is to have all 6 cards match the 6 characters on your photo card. Four cards must be picture cards, and 2 must be the I.D. cards- but ALL characters from your photo card must be in your hand.

You play, by drawing one card, and discarding one card. You may either draw from the pile (which are face down), or pick up your opponent's discarded card (which is face up and you can see).

It sounds easy, but TRUST me it isn't, which is what makes it so fun. There are wild cards (that can be substituted for a character of your choice), and also cards that you can use to make the other player change his/her photo card in the middle of play.

All in all, this game is alot of fun. It's great for 2 people or even 4 people! I highly recommend it. There are some small pieces (the card stands) that could be a choking hazard for small children, though.

Let me preface this with stating that I am caucasion and am very dissapointed that most of the Polly Pockets are too. Where are the veriations in beige/brown that exist in the world's skin colors????? Changing the hair color is good, now let's address the skin!
