Making a few matters clear:Hello, all. I am 13 and have been an R/C pilot for 5 years.
After reading several of the customers' reviews, I think it's necessary to clarify a few points:
1. This is a TOY. The entire line of Air Hogs products are TOYS. They cannot be expected to perform like true Radio-Controlled Models. In fact, as I have test-flown many models at the local hobby shop, these models will not do much more than glide. The motors are small and weak, as are the propellers. There are no servos; all directional control is by motor thrust differentiation. As a result, stalling will be inevitable for those who decide to keep at full power, and a nosedive into the ground follows. I actually find these toys much more difficult to fly than real R/C models.
2. R/C Modeling (notice I said MODELING) is a relatively expensive venture. For $49, there is nothing of any quality on the market. However, if you really want to get into model aviation, I recommend starting with the Hobbyzone brand of planes, which are great starters, and then progressing on to the Parkzone series. These planes are high quality, and most have moving control surfaces. The Hobbyzone series is mostly 2-channel to 3-channel, with either Rudder/Throttle control for beginners or Rudder/Elevator/Throttle control for more proficient pilots. These, however, will benefit the first-time flyer more if you TAKE THE TIME TO HAVE AN INSTRUCTOR TEACH YOU. See the Hobbyzone website at www.hobbyzone.com.
3. If you really don't want to spend at least $100, consider the only good flyer in the Air Hogs fleet: the Aero Ace. This toy sells for $39.99, cheaper than many of the other planes, yet flies the best. It has a powerful little 50/210 motor (equivalent) in it, as well as a built in LiPo (Lithium-Polymer) battery pack. LiPo packs are usually found on planes OVER $300! The Aero Ace is good for a toy, or backyard flying, but if you really want to get into R/C MODELING, I would strongly recommend Hobbyzone.
Sorry for confusing you with the technical terms... Once you get into this great hobby, you will understand all of it. I hope this has been some help to you, and I hope that Amazon won't block this because it diverts their business to Hobbyzone! If you wish to contact me, please go to www.rcuniverse.com and send PZCubFlyer a private message. I will try to get back to you as promptly as possible. Bye for now!

Quality could be better, but the kid loves itMy son who is almost three loves anything Buzz Lightyear so when he got this he went nuts. He plays with it a lot and doesn't seem to mind that it's actually a piece of junk. Lucky for us someone gave him mini sized Toy Story 2 action figures (Disney Store i think) at Christmas because they're the only ones that fit. I had no clue, I bought it on clearance for $9.99 and didn't even think that the normal action figures wouldn't fit. It's very flimsy and I shutter everytime he drops it. I know one of these days it will be in pieces. The rockets are kind of cool, one fires from on top, the other from under the ship. And the light up flames on the rockets add some quality to it. It's worth the 10 bucks for my kid who is getting my moneys worth out of it, but there's no way I would have paid the original $20 for it.
disappointmentWe ordered this Buzz Lighyear Spaceship for our 2 1/2 year old son for Santa to bring. Our son loves Toy Story & Buzz Lightyear and he requested a 'rocket ship' from Santa. We thought this was the perfect gift! We placed the order on December 6th and it did not arrive until December 23rd. Unfortunately, this spaceship is WAY TOO small for the HUGE Buzz Lightyear figure we also ordered. It was unclear to us that the spaceship was so small and the Buzz figure that was advertised with it were not compatible. So, my husband and I rushed out to Toys R Us on December 24th to desperately find a Buzz Lightyear figure that would fit this rocket ship. Luckily it worked out, and my son was very happy on Christmas morning, Now, less than 2 weeks after Christmas the rocket ship has had 1 door broken off and the shooting rocket bent so it no longer shots. My son is not gentle with the toy he plays with it, but he's had it less than 2 weeks maybe 3 full hours of playing with it and it's broken. This toy is a disappointment.
No Buzz and Hasbro is NO HELPI contacted HASBRO after several attempts I was finally able to get through. THey were virtually no help at all. They apologized and said, they can't help it if the stores don't have any and that I could buy it their direct website. Rediculous.
I also purchased the Action figure which is about 5" and it doesn't fit. Hasbro says I need the 3" which is in the adventure pack. SO, I now had to spend another 8.99+ 4 something to buy it online at TRU. PErsonally, I think they should have let me buy it at a reduced cost! Oh and now I see that the space ship is 11.00 at TRU after I just pd 19.99 2 weeks ago. GRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!
All in all, I'm disappointed and so is my son! He thinks Santa forgot a piece.

TOO MUCH FUN!!!!My son started collecting IMAGINEXT back when he was 3 or 4. At first, I would build the castles and make up stories for him to watch (and help create!). Now he's 7, and this toy has done so much to develop his spatial skills and problem-solving. He has literally EVERY Imaginext toy (except the newly-revised ones for the younger audience with disproportionate hands and feet -- a la Rescue Heroes) that has come out in the last 4 years. We have loads of fun building new castles and creating new worlds... Hot lava, weird new worlds, crazy creatures... My only problem with this toy is that the only female looks more like a gender-confused wizard (decidedly masculine). Nonetheless, Imaginext remains one of our favorite toys and will for some time to come. I wish they would do Imaginext Vikings or OCEAN!!! Yeah.... THAT's the ticket! Deep Sea World!!!
A great addition or start to an Imaginext collectionImaginext toys are a logical progression from the Fisher Price Little People. Imaginext is a step up from Fisher Price in that you assemble the toys, and you have some flexibility in how you assemble them (not so much with the pirate ship, you can move the sails & masts around). From Imaginext, you can go to classic lego or Playmobile.
All of these toys allow the children to create their own imaginary world, and there are usually several items within each theme that you can purchase.
My three year old son received this ship for Christmas, and he plays with it the most of allhis toys, and when he sets it down his 6 and 8 year old siblings will pick it up. It has been used as a pirate ship and a ship of exploration, skull and crossbones not withstanding.
We have also found the toy to be quite durable. In assembly, you do need to push the ship sections into place to lock them together. The red rails have fallen off a couple of times, but those are easy enough for my 3 year old to push back in.

let the fun beginI purchased this for my 5 year old son for Christmas..I was'nt sure that he would like it, just for the fact that he really isn't into pirates. We just put it together & he loves it..If you follow the directions & take your time putting it together...IT WILL NOT FALL APART! In fact it is quite sturdy.. It has some great features & sound effects..We also have the Dino mountatin & phantom Island, all of them are very cool ....The Ship definitly gets played with the most..Even all the older neighbor boys age 8 love these imaginext toys..they spent about 3 hours straight jumping from one to the next...A great toy if you put it together the correct way...Not one peice broke off during 3 hours of play (from 4 boys ages 2 thru 8)...definitly the best $23.00 I have ever spend. (I got it on sale)

Fast Lane Action City Parking Garage Playset
Amazon base price: $
Average review score:

Caution - Dangerous Curves AheadI do not recommend buying the Fast Lane Action City Parking Garage Playset for any child of any age. It is very poorly constructed; the interlocking pieces do not stay together, even when reinforced with tape. The cars do not go smoothly down the ramps. My grandson became very frustrated when trying to play with it because it fell apart so easily. This product should be discontinued or at least not carried by Toys R Us or Amazon.com.
Starts out Great but WAIT!As a father of four I am used to assembling toys at Christmas so when I opened the box for this garage I knew what to expect. After an easy yet time consuming assembly process my three and a half year old son started playing with it and LOVED it. He sent the cars zinging down the various ramps and played with the helicopter his six year old sister dropeed her Barbies and joined him. Then five minutes after they started one of the main ramps came off so I put it back on. Two minutes later three plastic pieces snapped off under normal, if not delicate use. Then the ramp fell off again and again and again. More pieces broke off and on and on the story goes. Finally under cover of night the garage went back into its box and back to Toys R Us. While the garage looks great and the entertainment value is very good, the plastic is cheap, it falls apart often and frustrates the kids and parents alike. Look for something sturdier even if it is a bit more expensive.
a very big toyNot as durable as expected, but a great time-consumer for my boys' "mechanical hands".

I HATE THIS TOYMY SON RECEIVED THIS TOY FOR CHRISTMAS AND ON THE SAME DAY HE DROPPED IT ONCE AND THE PLASTIC CRACKED IN HALF. THIS PRODUCT IS VERY DANGEROUS. THE EDGES OF THE PLASTIC WERE VERY SHARP AND CAUSED MY SON TO RECIEVE A DEEP SCRATCH ON HIS FINGER. I AM SO UPSET. I SPENT $23 ON THIS TOY, WHICH IS A LOT FOR SOMETHING THAT BROKE WITHIN THE SAME DAY. I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS TOY TO ANYONE. I AM GOING TO TRY TO GET MY MONEY BACK BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE THIS PRODUCT SHOULD OF HAD A WARNING ON IT SAYING THAT IT CAN CAUSE INJURY.
This toy is an accident waiting to happenPlease do not buy this toy. I bought it for my nephew for his birthday and within 15 minutes he had broken the plastic side. Now it didn't just "break" it shattered. The broken peices were as sharp as glass.
Amazon refunded my money before I was off the phone with them and did seem very helpful, but they did mention having "a case" against them. I am very dispointed that they were aware of the threat of this toy, and still continued to sell it. I was told, by the end of our conversation, that the toy would be removed, but it is still here.
Please do not buy this toy. It could meen the safety of your children.
