In response to the 2nd one down from this,the blue spots are his chestnuts,who knows why they're blue.This is a very pretty model,and although he is protected by a metal corral most of the time,I sometimes play with him,and he is very resistant.He has little rub marks,but who cares?He looks prettifull with the Western Cimmaron Saddle and the bridle that goes with it.Especially since they had to search for one of these because it was retired.I like to think he was the last one of his kind left.

I ride horses a lot, especially at one barn called Laurel Ridge Farm. Now, the first horse owned by the family that lives there ever was a georgous chestnut quarter horse, zippy. he went on to be a champion, and offers of $50K + were poured in and out of the show ring. However, now the horse has had West Nile, etc., which has stopped his showing days. However, he lived up to his famous Grandpa-Zippos Pine Bar. Zippy [the horse I know] is proud today and 'brags' anbout his Gramps being made into a model. My friend has 3!!!! of the Zippos models. They are nice, but make sure little kids don't get their hands on 'em!!!!Or else...Tjhough they are sturdy, who knows???Be careful-but I must say this sure is one nice horse!!!

Now, I only have 3 Traditional sized models and 6 classic size breyers, but I think Zippo is my best one. I've wanted him ever since I knew Breyer horses existed. I finally got him about 3 or 4 weeks ago. The reason he only gets 4 durable stars is because, it looks like he has rub marks on the ends of his ears but I think it may just be the lighting. He is in a very good walk postition and his ears are pricked forward. His forlock hangs down between his eyes. His tail is sort of hanging/blowing back. He looks very nice. But on each of his legs he has a blue spots. I kno they were meant to be there. Does anyone know what those are?

This Art set looks very fun to play with to make your own horse with any colour you want it is educat. beacuse it shows the artist how their models should look like when they paint their horses.

I got this kit on christmas day, and I can't wait to start on it. There is a product leaflet/book and also an instruction booklet, containing all the colours you can paint the model horse with the acrylics provided.

The beautiful dun mare with her sparkling white blanket was created using the "Duchess" mold. Her alert expression and slightly wind-tossed mane is sure to make her a favorite with your young horse-lover.

The sweet dark dun foal has his mama's lovely blanket and sweet face. Created from the classic arabian foal mold, his thin legs make him a bit more fragile than mother.

All in all, these two would make a wonderful addition to any little equestrian's collection.

This particular mold is very tipsy. I've been collecting these models for quite some time now and certain molds I've learned to stear clear of, the base for Nothern Lights is one of them. However, I liked his finish so much I picked one up for myself and, of course, once out of his package he could hardly stand on his own.

If you get yourself one of these guys, be aware it may very well have balance issues. A bit of sticky wax on the feet will keep it on a shelf but it's not the best horsie if you want it for a child to play with as it may take a few more spills than usual and break.

I got this horse for christmas. He is buetaful model. But sometimes he dosen't stand that well. Luckly my brother has'nt broken him yet! Northern Lights is a must have for all Breyer colleters.

my aunt's friend welima was choking in her sleep,and she couldnt wake up.while she was choking,she said that the model tripped off the board he was standing on and hit her on her head which woke her up.this model is a hero!i't was mine at first but i let her keep him.all i can say i's god bless breyer for making this model!i dont have much to say but these models have angel written all over them!and not to long ago she bought an arabian mare that has green and blue on her black coat.the vet says that the green is deep grass stains.but,i'ts unknown what the blue is.nothern lights her horse,stays at my aunt's busy ranch.i only dream to ride nothern lights,because,welima don't want her to get confuse who her master is.

This item is great for any young horse lover. It goes great with the barn version too.

Watch it when you buy bridles for it though, it's hard to get one that adjusts enough to fit the throat, due to the tipped head. I simply love this model, it's beautiful
