Dolls Reviews

Again, the newer Barbie dolls have oversized heads and eyes that look like decals. There are overdone painted lashes, and no upper ridge to make the eye look three dimensional. Also, there is too much pink and purple paint around eyes and cheeks. Please go to EBAY, and type in a year from 1967 to 1979 with the word Barbie in order to look up the dolls from those years, and you will see more normal sized heads and less obnoxious face paint. These newer dolls have not recovered from the outlandish and foolish looks of the mid 1980's. Please ask Mattel to consider changing the face and head back to the 1977 doll with a more realistic face.

I bought this doll with my birthday money I will list the good and the bad .

This is my favorite Barbie!! She is also the prettiest Barbie I've ever seen in my whole life!! Her beautiful hair, and glamouros face......just perfect. My mom got it for me, after the day I said i wanted it.....and i love her. her body is quite smooth, so she's easy to dress. The veil however, if you take it of, it's quite permanent....you can still put it on and off, but it will slide off after play. The gloves are gorgeous, but they are easy to take off, hard to put on. I poked through the gloves a few times already. I love her gown!! It was so pretty, and smooth!! They have cool sequens and stuff on them!! And her shoes stayed on quite well also!! It won't just fall of like THAT...And the cake is very very very cute, and it fits perfectly on to Barbie's mouth on a section, so I love feeding her with it!! And I also love her make-up!! Not so dark, and very smooth looking!!! Here's my explanation for my stars:

Fun: Defeinatly!! I played Bride's day, and I have different outfits for her for different occasions!! Honey Moon, Horse Back Riding,etc with her!!

Durable: Ya...I guess, I only had her for like...a month or so, so Im not really sure, but it was the same since it got out of the box!!

Educational: I think so, ya! She teaches kids what they will be like when they get married!!

Overall: A defienate 10 stars if I can!! I love her, and I'm sure it's gonna be a great first Barbie, or a collection for anyone!! Well, hope this helpes!!

My Little girl loves this toy. She is learning so much, and cannot leave it alone. It's about time that Mattel came up with something like this, that teaches little children about various sounds(life like) rather than just your basic,ordinary doll house. Well done.

My daughter and I bought the Forever Barbie - Totally Real House Playset. We immediately put it together, which was easy and started to play with it. It's so fun and cute. The little details make is so real. I like that you can close it up, but all the accesories and furniture won't fit in it when it's closed up. If it had been made a bit wider it you could get the bigger pieces in there. I just got an extra box for that. It will be easy for my daughter to take it on a trip.

My name is Eleanor , I am 6 years old (writing this with daddy)- I am very disapointed, that this particular toy does not work like they said it would. right when I started using it I discovered that it didnt work. THere was only 1 bubble sometimes from the fish, It was noisy. My daddy took it back to the store

My daughter has wanted this item ever since she saw it on TV with tons and tons of bubbles blowing out......it blows 1 bubble and pops, it is like the arm is not aimed correctly and so the bubble hits the seashell and pops immediatly. Definatly not worth the money I am taking it back to the store.

The motor is very loud.

Well, actually I am soon to be 12 and I still like Barbie,
It doesn't matter of what age you are and it doesn't matter if people make fun of you when you still like to play barbies, We don't need to care about embarassing or not!And This barbie have COLLECTIONS OF trendy outfits and it's more for bigger children to me (according to me) Age compression really hurts people, and make them have peer pressure, so for thoose who are worried about age compression, remember this! is a Valuabble LESSON!!!!!!!

The doll comes with 3 mix and match outfits. I was able to create a lot more than 7 outfits, but that was with using other Barbie clothes. The online pictures don't do the doll justice. She is much prettier in person. The doll doses have gel in the hair, but the style is very versatile. I would highly recommend this Barbie.

This doll has so many outfit combos, especially with all the fashion packs (sold seperately). I really want this doll because the face is beautiful, the outfits are cute, and she looks great at the mall.

I am so glad the came up with the Bratz styling heads, especially the slumber party. Now THAT'S a toy! I am not interested in this so much because when I hit my birthday party for turning 10, I got this, last year. First, I hate Barbie. So annoying. Just kewl for doing the hair and decorating her lips and eyes with eyeliner. Second, not durable. Her hair flies everywhere and it falls off any surface! Third, make a kewler version. Fashion Fever is not kewl-they sould have a punk or princess or something! Last, roght now, it's upside down in my closet right now. The primp and polish Barbie styler is a little kewler because I never get to do any one's nails, and I love painting nails! But they should make a Bratz thing like that- call it Bratz Wild Wild West! Fashion Styling Face and Nails-that would be kewl- with a huge cowgirl hat and everything! Oh, I have another suggestion- make Bratz Boyz Sports Heads that comes with the black (washable) paint for under the eyes in football, gel, and a brush, and a mirror! Now this stuff is much kewler---yo should save your money! I mean, come on! There's a whole lot of better thngs out there! I will see if these inventions I want to ask Mattel for making would be a hit, I hope! So, sorry, Barbie lovers! I think you took the wrong path here to this dumb toy! I will donate mine to charity or just keep it for no reason. But anyway, save your money! It's overpriced, too!

These dolls are so cool .There 100% fun to play with .Everyone should like these .I love to comb the hair because I want to do hair when I grow up .I also like to put her earrings on and bracelets and make-up ,and doing all the other cool features .You can ask my mom,I buy every one that comes out .

I love this, and I seriously want this !!!!It's educational, and I, of course will have fun with her!!!She is so pretty!!And she looks so sweet!!!Of course a 6 month old swallowed it....it says 'Not for children under 3' Let alone 6 MONTHS!Thats why the instructions are there.You can't exactly blame Mattel for this can't you? She is the GREATEST toy I've ever seen!!Even though don't have it, I know buy heart little girls will spend loads of hours with it!!Hope this Helpes!!

i bought it for my neice's first christmas. she enjoyed it for about 2 minutes, them went on to the next present. i guess because it didn't have bells or whistles, it couldn't keep her attention, but she is still very precious. maybe next year she will be able to appreciate her. (she's not even one)

Great first doll! My daughter got her first for her 1st Christmas, at first it sat on her chest looking cute! Then one day she asked me to get it down and that was all it wrote! We are on our 5th doll. She calls it her little baby. She takes it every where and sleeps with it every night. Washes well! Get doll!

It was a shower gift. The recipient loved it. So did everyone else at the baby shower. The mother took the doll, and held it on her lap and said "I'll keep this." So cute!

I Love this! It is the Coolest Thing Ever! She comes with evrything you need for a day at the Salon!All it needs is 2 AA batteries to work! Then her hair glows for about 30 seconds. To make it last longer, brush her hair and insert the back of her head into the chair. (There is an opening in her head with a button inside of it)

I love this toy! Polly's hair is very pretty! But here's the weird thing: insted of a rabbit, I got a dog! My favorite part of the set was the outfits. They look perfect on the doll you get! I hope you like my review~Libby
