Hello, my name is Alexandrea Marie Anna Bunitorisua and i am reviewing "Dora the explorer". I think that this doll is very ugly and wrong. What are toys trying to teach children these days?!? That it is fine to graduate schools? Girls should stay home and help their mothers until they are four teen, and then they get married and have children at fifteen. These dolls are very bad for young girls because they make it seem like girls can particapate in sports, which they cannot. That is my opinion and i hope you follow by it. its true!

This doll has TERRIBLE hair. The more the child plays with it, the worse it looks. Additionally, the tiara is sewn to the doll's head, so loose "locks" of hair have to constantly be tucked back in. I finally had to remove the tiara and give the doll a haircut to appease my daughter.

My daughter received this doll for Christmas from her Grandparents. I agree that the hair don't stay as it should but I fixed it and then put in a ponytail. That did the trick. My daughter is a huge Dora fan. She just loves this doll!!!

My daughter adores her little Alex doll. She carries the doll everywhere and is always feedeing her. Alexa makes cooing noises and 'sucks' at her bottle. She even makes fussy noises when you take this bottle away from her. We received this doll as a present from Europe and my daughter was estatic when she saw the commercials on TV. If your daughter believes she is a princess, then this is the doll for her.

My first daughter is 21 months old and I am expecting a second daughter in 3 weeks. I have been very diligent to get non gender specific toys, I just didnt want to pigeonhole a girl into only "girl" toys. However when I found out I was pregnant again I knew I would get a baby doll for her to play with and learn.

I was very pleased yesterday as I opened the box and saw the quality of the doll and her accessories. She is small (but so are my daughters hands) and very cute, as is her bottle, bear, blanket and diaper. The moses basket that it all comes in has handles for easy carrying.

Within minutes of opening it up and showing my daughter how to "feed" the baby with the bottle she was doing it herself saying "baby, juice". She then would hold the baby and give it some love, put it in the moses basket and place the blanket over it. I was very impressed with her natural insticts and ability to play with the toy so fast. Im hoping that this will make the transistion in the home easier for her now that she has her own baby to take care of while I take care of her new baby sister.

I had gone to Toysrus to look for this doll but they didnt have it. They did however have many other baby dolls, most of which were far too large for my daughter. The one they had that was small enough she simply wasnt interested in. I was extremely happy how interested she is in this sweet little doll.

If your having a new baby and your oldest one is still very young I would highly reccomend getting this doll. I was a little hesitant at first since the price tag seems high for such a little doll, but if it works and they like it then I can live with paying 20.00.

We bought this baby doll for our grandaughter's first birthday. It is so soft and safe. She loves the pockets with the teddy bear, the diaper, and the bottle. The process of putting the items into and taking them out of the pockets helps with eye-hand coordination. The softness and durability of the item enhance the attraction for this item.

My daughter is 2 1/2 and she received this toy for her first Christmas when she was 11 months old. She always plays with this and it is still in great shape. I washed it once and it washes very well. She has hundreds of dolls yet still plays with this adorable set. She now likes taking off the clothes and "dressing her baby". She also likes to "feed" her baby her bottle and put her to sleep.

Yes, this doll "floats" in the tub, but if your child wants to take this doll to bed after bathtime FORGET IT !!!!! The doll is soaking wet. I purchased two of these dolls for my girls and they were both soooooo disappointed. They bathed their baby dolls and dressed them for bed......... then their bed sheets were soaking wet.
Don't waste you money or your time on this rip-off.

i am a Baby Born defender and I want to say to M hutchison (the neurotic mom who babies her kids too much) that Zapf has NEVER, EVER marketed baby born as a potty training doll. they have marketed her as a friend, a sibling-prep doll, a baby doll, but never for potty training. so don't be dissapointed if your baby born doesnt teach potty training. and dont slag her just because youre too lazy to read and folow the instructions and actually TRY to make her work. who wants crappy ugly fat baby tubbles anyway? she sucks.

Susan- I must say i COMPLETELY AGREE WITH YOU! How dare they make a doll that goes in the water and actually gets wet...soaked in fact if used correctly!!!???? Oh the audacity of those people! Even worse, I put my one year old in the tub with the doll, took her out, and SHE WAS SOAKING WET TOO!! Ugh I had to dry my baby girl off overnight with the stupid doll so she lost a whole nights worth of sleep.
