My 2 year old girl is enjoying it very much. Lots of small things to keep track of, but it seems children of this age like that sort of thing. The horses are good quality, the box is real wood, the backgrounds are printed cardboard but still nice. Good pick for the price.

My grandson is just turning 7 years old and I gave this to him as a birthday present. He loved it. It hangs on his bedroom wall and he takes the horses out that he chooses and then puts them back when he is not playing with them. It is a wonderful addition to his room which is decorated in a horse theme.

I bought this last Christmas for my then 7 year old daughter. She loved it! The other children loved it. I had one mom ask me where I got such a unique item. As far as the reviewer who said that they got them for their 2 year old and the fur falls off, these aren't meant for a 2 year old. My daughter has had hers now for a year and they are still beautiful. Cute display! Cute horses! Fun!

For the most part this is a good toy. It was actually one of the easier items I took out of a box this week :)

My daughter (4) loves it and as long as you can tolerate the "Mommy/Daddy the wing fell off can you put it back on?" every 5-10 minutes then it really is good. I guess if your child is old enough and has the dexterity to put the wings back on by herself this toy would be GREAT!

My 6 year old daughter wanted this pegasus so badly and was thrilled when she received it for Christmas. I had read about the wings falling off, so I wasn't surprised when one of them was a constant problem. I didn't want to glue the wings on because then she would only be a pegasus, not a horse as well.

Now, my daughter is in tears because she brushed the mane and it has turned into a big purple afro. My daughter is not very rough on toys, but she wanted to brush the hair and you'd think since there was a brush and hair accessories included that the hair was brushable. NOT SO! I've tried to fix the hair but it seems to be permanently frizzed out a la finger in a light socket. I played with Barbies and Barbie horses as a child and never had one whose hair just turned into a rats nest. I'm disappointed and so is my daughter!

she is so enchanting. Breitta has beutiful wings, but for me they only come off if I bang her into something. Her crown lites up and looks so pretty if your playing in the night. Her hair looks very nice when you first get her out. The only thing is she has a hard box to open, but dont let that stop you from geting one of the best barbie horse ever.

the 3 dimensional horses were freezes (i.e., only 1 side of the animal was there) rather than full 3 dimensional items, but otherwise it was quite nice. They were easy to paint and everything came with the item.

It's fun for my daughter to have a boy "Polly" to play with, and she certainly enjoys putting the ski clothes off and on. However, the ski shop does not work very well---for instance, in the picture it shows both sets of skis (snowboards) fitting in the store, but my daughter and I have not been able to make them fit yet! Also, the goggles do not fit well at all.

I have a family of 3 children and it goes girl, boy, girl. As our children do a lot of imaginary play it is great to see male polly's as well. It gives a more rounded play and a more realistic playtime. We don't have a world without guys now don't we. My son loves his.... He takes it everywhere. I wish there were more male dolls.

We got this for my one year old son because he loved playing with his big sister's doll house from the same line of toys. The doll house has a variety of sound effects, which was his favorite part of playing with it. However, the castle only has one effect - when you press on the flag, the king's chair swings around while a trumpet sound plays - that's it. My son continues to play with the doll house and my daughter uses the castle for her Disney princess figurines, so I guess everyone is happy anyway!

My daughter loves this castle! She can push the flag down herself to hear the trumpets sound & watch the door open. She also enjoys the horse w/ this set- it trots all over our house. Overall, well worth it; we're very satisified!

This connects to other Little People towns. My kids love it! Comes with great accessories and extra "connection" walls so that you can add on the accessories. My kids love all Little People.

We got this toy as a gift. It's okay. On car trips and long waiting periods, it holds the attention for a very brief period. I think it's better for a shorter wait period, like the doctor's office.

My main issue with it is that it just misses the boat on just about every front. The little Thomas needs pretty good fine motor skills to wind it independantly for a child, and by the time they have these, the kids are really too old for the toy. While it's pretty sturdy, there are smallish parts that can easily get lost that will make the toy unusable. If you are using something for travel, you don't want losable small parts.

For the age group this is for, you are better off getting them a new train for the cost and giving them a pad of paper to draw a line on (a track) and let them do that for awhile for travel. It will give you more independance and work much better.

I bought this toy for my four year old son, it worked great right out of the box...for about an hour. My son had difficulty winding the train up and because of this he would accidentally wind it backwards, which ended up breaking the train in no time flat. This toy while working did bring a big smile to his face and he giggled while watching Thomas cross over the bridge, I just wish the train had been made differently, maybe a push and go or something a bit easier to use for 3 years and up.

We bought this for our son and were thrilled with this toy. He picked it out himself and has been playing with it ever since. His older sisters even fight over who is going to play with it. All the pieces fit into the case. when you unfold it the pieces fit into holes so they won't tip over. Even the horses are made of a really neat rubbery plastic so they don't tip over easily. The train winds up and goes around the track. it is made so the train will go around the track and then do a figure 8. The toy is inexpensive and so much fun. He will sit and play for a long time with this. I would definately recommend this one. (one note: the pieces are small so keeping track of them may be difficult)

It looks really cute, Im saving it for x-mas though. Polly and her friends are going to love the sleigh. Pieces are small so if you have little ones be careful. My daughter is just getting into them. Because of the small pieces and her brother is getting older. so she can have it now good price on it and free shipping rocks

I didn't have this toy because I think this dolls and stuff are for children who are 6 and 10 maybe. When I read these little childrens' reviews, I was very ashamed on older people who are arguing about dolls. Even little girls like 6, 7, 8, 9, and also 10 didn't argue on each other. I am 13 and I love dolls eventhough I am too old for dolls (my dad's opinion. I think dolls are for all age). About the doll, i think little girls should buy polly because it is apporiate for thier ages

I love the doll in this set! Lila is very pretty. I got this doll for Christmas and it still hasn't fallen apart. Did you notice if you pull on the back of the sleigh it turns into a two seater sleigh? Thanks for reading my review.~Libby

I bought this horse kit for my 10 year old daughter for Christmas. The kit was much smaller than I thought it would be and one of the horses in the package was broken. It appears to be made of a cheap wood/material. I would not recommend this toy to anyone! I am very surprised that this toy won an award for "Best Toy". What a disappointment!!!!

Taking into consideration the reviews of others that the horses may arrive in pieces, I purchased this item for my niece because she loves horses. It arrived today and -- as warned -- one of the horse legs was broken off. It appears that it can be glued back on without much effort and I will do so before gifting it to my niece, however, this review will add to the fair warnings that your horses too may arrive legless or headless and to be prepared. I expect the product to be well received, but I have given this product an average rating because the consumer should not be responsible for pre-use repairs.

I gave this "paint the wild" set to my 12 year old daughter. She loved it. She enjoyed painting all the horses and making them her own. She gave two out as gifts to family members as christmas ornaments. Our family loved getting a hand painted horse to hang on their tree. I am looking for more kits for her to paint. They make great birthday presents too! If your child likes crafts this kit is for you.

I bought this rocking horse after seeing it at a friends house. It was purchased for my nephew's first birthday--when it first started to sing he was a little nervous but once on it he would not get off. All laughs and giggles. Well worth it!! Not hard to put together but no instructions.

My 13-month old son loves this rocking horse. It sings and its mouth moves when it sings. It's very cute. Well worth the price.

My thoughts on the horse are that is provides no real educational value. However, it does improve balance and coordination. My (2 yr old) daughter's balance and understanding of holding on to an object to help that balance has increased since we got the horse. It also provides great entertainment as she will sit on it for quite a while and "gallop". I will add that she was scared of it until we turned off the sound - it sings a couple of songs and whinnies every so often out of the blue. She wouldn't touch it until the horse was silent for a week. I personally don't mind that it is silent since we have enough noisy toys already!
Overall, it was a good purchase.
