I too have a 4yo - and this toy was a great big disappointment to her (and me). Even for her teeny hands it is hard to dress the doll - everything falls off and the microscopic pieces, well, Im sure half are lost by now. The car doors will not close properly and they come off the hinges all the time. It is really poorly made - and we have still not been able to figure out the gets dressed on its own trick. This toy was such a whopping disapppointment I will probably have to shell out more $$ for a better one - I feel so guilty - especially because she was soo looking forward to her first polly pocket (dang marketting!)

If your idea of fun is repeatedly consoling your four-year-old because of the poor quality of this "fun" limo, be my guest. In fact, come on over to my house, because this toy has caused tears all day due to parts that fall off and wheels that don't turn, etc. The only place this toy belongs is the garbage heap.

This toy is DEFINITELY NOT for 4 - 5 year olds. Maybe 6. My daughter is [...] and we just spent an hour figuring out how to use it. So for all wondering how, here's the key. Make sure you press the star button while pushing the car back and forth. Make sure the boots click into the front of the car underneath the steering wheel. The clothes will stay where they need to, just make sure they attach with the magnets or they won't stay. Biggest problem, getting the polly pocket into her boots. Good luck! Once you figure it out, it is fun! We've had lots of laughs while learning it. Note to manufacturer, make your directions more clear on the back of the poster!

It's fun for my daughter to have a boy "Polly" to play with, and she certainly enjoys putting the ski clothes off and on. However, the ski shop does not work very well---for instance, in the picture it shows both sets of skis (snowboards) fitting in the store, but my daughter and I have not been able to make them fit yet! Also, the goggles do not fit well at all.

I have a family of 3 children and it goes girl, boy, girl. As our children do a lot of imaginary play it is great to see male polly's as well. It gives a more rounded play and a more realistic playtime. We don't have a world without guys now don't we. My son loves his.... He takes it everywhere. I wish there were more male dolls.

My [...] daughter had one of these and I returned it . There were pieces missing from the box. It was hard just getting the box open and finding the instructions which are on the back of a poster. The second one my mom bought her there pieces missing again . They need to package this toy better so pieces won't come up missing.

My 4 1/2 hr old daughter received this toy for Easter and she loves it. The slide does fall apart easily, but she doesn't mind. My problem with it is that after playing with it, the toy will turn on by itself and waste the batteries. I will turn it off, and 2 minutes later its back on again. In order to stop the madness, I have to remove the batteries. Thats a hassle to do after each time she plays with it - especially if its a couple of times a day. She loves playing with it though!

My 6 year old daughter bought this toy with her own money and she has had it for two weeks. She loves it and wants to play with it as soon as she comes home from school. I plan to buy the other compatible sets for her birthday coming up. I find that the slide stays together well, but even if it does come apart, she can put it back together herself and does so without complaint. No, there is not much room to swim, but the waterfall is really cool, especially with the multi-colored lights. Once the water button is pushed, the water comes out for about 10 minutes, then shuts off automatically. This Polly's hair is really pretty with the glittery strands and for being wet numerous times, it still looks good as new and it seems to be holding up well. We have some Polly dolls with rats nests for hair. All in all, I think it was a great value for the money.

We purchased this for my 8 yr. old daughter, within 1 day it was broken. We even bought a refill and could not get it to work correctly. The door keeps coming off. Very Poor quality.

This was a huge disappointment. It immediately fell apart. We made maybe 3 stickers before everything got jammed and totally broke.

This toy was a gift to my daughter for good behaviour -- she'd seen the ad on tv and really wanted to have it. Well, this "machine" is not self-explanatory, and the instructions miss several critical steps, including how to load the two rolls of paper and vellum, and how to get them out (kind of at the heart of sticker-making). We spent a good part of Saturday night trying to make this thing to work, and ended up with vellum, sticky glue, and an unraveled roll of paper to show for it. I haven't felt so ripped off on a toy and my daughter was pretty bummed!

It looks really cute, Im saving it for x-mas though. Polly and her friends are going to love the sleigh. Pieces are small so if you have little ones be careful. My daughter is just getting into them. Because of the small pieces and her brother is getting older. so she can have it now good price on it and free shipping rocks

I didn't have this toy because I think this dolls and stuff are for children who are 6 and 10 maybe. When I read these little childrens' reviews, I was very ashamed on older people who are arguing about dolls. Even little girls like 6, 7, 8, 9, and also 10 didn't argue on each other. I am 13 and I love dolls eventhough I am too old for dolls (my dad's opinion. I think dolls are for all age). About the doll, i think little girls should buy polly because it is apporiate for thier ages

I love the doll in this set! Lila is very pretty. I got this doll for Christmas and it still hasn't fallen apart. Did you notice if you pull on the back of the sleigh it turns into a two seater sleigh? Thanks for reading my review.~Libby

I have looked at this set and at the uniforms. My daughter's female doctor has a uniform in a dog-and-cat print, her dr.'s coat is not white (I think it's blue), and she sometimes wears a dress. My daughter can be a brain surgeon, scientist or in any other medical field while wearing any style/print uniform. Also, the scrubs that Rick is wearing is worn by both doctors AND nurses, men AND women, so maybe he's a nurse like my cousin's husband. If people want things to be REALLY equal, make dresses for Rick! (Big Grin! How many jaws dropped on that one? No, my son will not be wearing dresses, I am a little strict on that subject! Another Grin!) I am teaching my daughter that *she* makes the uniform, it does not make her. She's trying to decide between being a teacher, a zoologist and a cop. Her uncle is a retired teacher and retired military, and her dad is a police officer - now THOSE are hard-to-find outfits! Polly and Rick need "Emergency Personnel" sets to include Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), Emergency Medical Services (ambulances and such), Firefighters, Police, Soldiers (Air Force, Navy, Army, Marines, Coast Guard), Pilots and other Emergency Response uniforms and playsets. Oh, the list goes on and on! These would be neat! (hint! hint! Polly Pocket makers) They'll never be able satisfy all of us!

Moms are being stubborn. What is wrong with the boy being a doctor and the girls being other things. This toy is going to have very little affect on what your daugther is going to be when she grows up. And if you never buy Polly Pockets for your daugther again, like Cathirine Murpy, you may make you daugther very sad. Especialy if she likes Polly Pockets. As a fact, back in the early 20th century, girls weren't allowed to be things like Vets and Artists. Artists always used to be boys! And if you didn't notice, there is a doctor outfit for the girls. Just because it's a dress and is white doesn't mean anything. Girls can be anything they want to be. I won't disaprove this toy at all, in fact, I approve it. It gives girls an idea about thing they can be. And if you don't like the set, don't buy it. Buy a different Polly Pocket toy.

My mom got me this for Christmas last yr. I love it. I wish the clothes where a little larger. I think moms and dads sometimes look at toys and make a big deal about nothing. I know I can be a Dr. if I want ...I dont need a toy to tell me that. And when I saw that the boy could only be the Dr. I NEVER thought that I could never be one when I get older. Parents need to relax alittle.

My girls love Polly & her friends, but keeping all of those pesky little shoes & other tiny pieces organized is quite difficult. This is the best storage system for Polly & her stuff that I have ever seen. The small drawers work well for shoes and small pieces. The larger compartments can store the dolls, pets, and larger accessories. I would definitely recommend it. The center compartment is fine as is. They recommend a smaller storage unit to go in it, but it isn't necessary unless you want more small drawers.

My 4 year old daughter received this car as a birthday gift. It's cute and she plays with it for a long time, even though it does not provide many functions. The frustrating thing is that the doors are difficult to open for a 4 year old, they keep coming off and I have to re-attach them every 2 minutes. This toy is probably more suitable for slightly older kids.
