    new skills
this game is a good introduction for the little ones to the more sophisticated vsmile games (4-6). some of the games are too challenging for a 3 (or even 4 or 5 year old)-like addition and subtraction up to 10! and in some of the games they have to figure out to use the little red button so spider man can use a web to jump over a big whole - just jumping won't do it. after i finally figured it out and showed my son, he could do it though. he also likes the grocery store part. he will tell me all the items that (he thinks) he needs and we go around looking for them. he is starting to figure out to find the cake and the bread together and the fruits together - so I think it is teaching him -if not about the foodgroups - just about grouping in general. he likes it, and that's most important. the animation in good. i don't think it is an easy or meaningful game for a typical 3 year old to play (as suggested by the suggested age from toysrus)but 4 and up it's okay, especially with a parents help.

My 3 yr old loves this game
This game is one of his favorite out of the 7 he has, I just purchased Bob the Builder which he loves too

My 3 year old loves it!
My 3-year old just got this game, and he LOVES it. Especially the grocery store part. Some other parts are a little challenging for him, but I know he will have it mastered in not time. Until he played this game, I didn't even realize that he could recognize numbers by sight, although he can already count. Very educational!

Nintendo DS Super Princess Peach Bundle

      Very cool!
I really like it! The nice pouch for your DS and a neck and belt strap! It has a clip for your keys! This nice cloth pouch to clean your DS makes you feel like cleaning like a princess! It clips on to the pouch! These cute colored stylusses rock! I love them! I keep them in my Super Princess Peach case!
All though the pouch isn't so protective. I approve the Nintendogs Case with Bone Shaped Screen wipe! That holds on your belt like forever and it has cushions to protect better!

      Super Princess Peach!
This Game Is awesome! I love Playing games with my favorite nintendo character Princess Peach! This Game Is awesome!!

      Peachy! ...oh that was terrible.
I got this carrying case for my girlfriend to compliment buying her Super Princess Peach recently. It's good to see that Nintendo is offering some variety in carrying cases finally, and actually releasing some of them here in the States. There isn't going to be much to say about this, as it's just a carrying case (making this one of my shortest reviews ever), but the best way to put it is that if you like Princess Peach, and have a DS, then this is a must.

While it may look heavily padded, the case is actually more of a spandex/lycra material, and fits the DS like a glove...though some force may be needed to get it in properly. There's a velcro closure to the top, enforcing that the DS won't fall out if it's turned upside-down or anything. The three colored styluses that come with this case are a great bonus if your were planning to shell out a couple bucks on a set of 5 or whatever they're up to now. It should be noted that the screen cleaner cloth is a bit darker than it shows on this page. It's more of a tan than yellow. 'kinda confused me at first, and doesn't quite fit with the color scheme of everything here, but it's nice they threw in a screen cleaner. Using your shirt seemed to have little effect.

That's all there is to it. It's more of a cute companion piece than a super-tough DS guard, but it's always fun to see a reaction when you or your significant other pulls it out of their purse in front of other DS users.

      ITF world cup
I recently played this game on a very wet day when play had been suspendedat the ITF veteran team conpetition in South Africa. One of the American team produced right left centre and 18 ladies from 6 different countries spent a memorable time playing it. Our hosts, the South African ladies, from the Chiltern Club in Durban looked on in amazement. On return home to Ireland I wanted to purchase it to take with me on my travels, to introduce it to my school class and to use it at family get-to-gethers. I am really disappointed to find I cannot get it shipped to Ireland. It is brilliant fun both as an ice breaker ( many different languages played and this was no inhibitor) and to pass a wet day. It is the first game I have played that, until the final chip is left on the table, everyone is still in the game. Can you help me to purchase it? Letty Lucas

Toy Great, Watch Out for the Shipping
This is a great game, we played it recently with friends. But watch out if you order here. The company that I ordered from thru Amazon had them REALLY cheap, but for an approximately $6 order they were charging almost $25 to ship.

      AWESOME
Because my daughter excels exceptionally well in Math, the games are challenging her and this is what I lke about the games.

      My son's favorite Leapster cartridge
My son, who is now five, received his leapster last November. He has several cartridges, all of which he enjoys. However, the Math Missions game, which we recently purchased online, seems to have captured his attention in a way that the others did not. While all the Leapster titles attempt to make a game out of learning, this cartridge does an exceptional job. For example, instead of requiring him to identify that 4+5=9, it gives him three fish, weighing 4, 5 and 9 pounds each. He needs to figure out how to put them on a scale to make the scale balance. This is a much more interesting "puzzle" and it teaches what an equation really means, at an intuative level. Another activity reminds me of the old game "Mastermind", where he needs to figure out the right combination of candies to put in a box. Through trial-and-error and deductive reasoning, he can figure it out. It's a fun challenge that teaches important logic skills.

The incentive system is also well done. By earning money for doing math tasks, my son can then pay to play "video arcade" games, which are more fun than educational in nature. (The games are simple and just the right level of complexity for 5-7 year olds, along the lines of early video games like pac-man.)He LOVES these games, and is willing to spend hours doing the math puzzles in order to earn the money to play the video games.

This is a great game. I hope Scholastic puts out more cartridges for the Leapster platform.

Good visual & tactile mental exercise resulting in language and mathematical advantages
Holy Cow! My 3 year-old is now a genius!

In reality, this review will be tempered by 1) her reaction to the abacus, and 2) my perspective of how she has taken to the abacus, and what she is learning from it.

      1) She loves the abacus. The colors are bright and engaging, and the construction is sturdy (it is kept at 3 ft height, has fallen - been yanked, actually - several times onto a carpeted floor, and has not broken or loosened at the joints). The abacus is brought out about as frequently as her wooden puzzles and kitchen pots and pans, a little more frequently than her dolls, not quite as frequently as her keyboard and musical toys.

      2) I've taken her efforts to reach the abacus (and subsequent knockdowns) as signs of significant interest. Her vocabulary has expanded - not only does she says the word "abacus", but she has also taken a renewed interest in new words, including pronunciation and spelling of those words. Her colors are perfect (probably not a direct effect, but certainly reinforced by the color scheme). She is beginning to add and subtract by 1s. So, her interest, combined with its sturdiness, functionality, and usability are resulting in positive gains in her vocabulary, visual perception, and mathematics skills.

I rate this product 5 stars for its usability, functionality, sturdiness, and accessibility, as well as the reaction she has had to the toy, and its effect on her vocabulary and mathematical skills.

      Your child may vary.

      Great Teaching Tool
I homeschool and I use the abacus to teach my son adding, subtracting and counting. This tool has helped my son understand math principals.

      well-made
The abacus is well-made and is a good value. I think it is higher quality than the ones my kids use at school.

      An oversized play pen.
We got this item for our 1 yr old daughter. This thing is great, it was set up in minutes and will somewhat keep the toddler in one place, by that I mean even our 1 yr old is able to push the playpen around and move it across the living room. Thats the only problem that I can see. The construction is very good because with a 5yr old and a 7yr old (that have no concept of the door) insist on climbing over the sides time after time, has held up very well. Being made of plastic it can be taken outside and cleaned with a garden hose and mild soap. I would highly recommend to anyone.

Make my living room childcare and not jail
We bought this playzone after we returned the superyard. The reason we returned the superyard is because it is not sturdy, hard to set up, and high to be stepped over because it does not have a door. We are very satisfied with the playzone and recommend you to consider this product. The little door is helpful for the children and adult to go in and out, but yet I feel safe to know my baby would not know how to open the door. The set up is pretty easy, but most of all, the color and the toys that come with it. It makes my living room more like a childcare and not a children prison.

The only thing that made me unsatisfied completely is the shipping cost. I want to buy some more corner extensions, but the shipping cost is almost the same as the price itself, and this product is not sold in stores.

I love it; Baby not so thrilled!
I love this playpen!! Durable plastic, can be extended to larger size (or shortened if going someplace that is not as large). Only problem is that my baby loves to "wander." She is not thrilled when Mommy "cages" her up in order to protect her while I make dinner and cannot watch her as closely as necessary. Crib toys can be safely attached on the sides (did that with her Aquarium toy, which she loves and it soothes her). Occasionally plays with music buttons and phone but nothing else seems to interest her. I just put her other toys in for her to play with.

Great learning and play time toy
I purchased this item for my 2 year old toddler. She loves playing in the kitchen while I prepare meals. She's able to manipulate and open all the compartments with ease. This was a great buy.

A toy that lasts longer than the energizer bunny
I got this toy 3 years ago when my oldest was [...] now she is almost [...] and still plays with it all the time but now she shares it with her [...] sister who also loves it as well. no fancy gadgets or lots of lights but it lets the imagination run wild.

        So Soft Baby Hirl
I am very happy with this product. It met all my expectations.
I had ordered it before & had it personalized, I was disappointed that I couldn't do that with this order.

        great for little mommies
I bought this baby doll as my daughter's first baby for her first Christmas. It is so soft (as it says), and huggable. Perfect for little hands, and great for a nap time pal. She washes wonderfully in the washer. You can also embroider her dress.

        Love It!!!!
My daughter is almost 8 years old and we have gone through at least 9 of these dolls since she was six weeks old. It is still her favorite dolly and goes EVERYWHERE with her! How's that for a recommendation???!!!
