Hi, I'm an eleven-year-old male from Kansas, Oklahoma, and I bought this toy as a present to myself. Here's how I decided my ratings:

Fun: 5 Stars, because I love to play with it every day

Educational: 5 stars; I brought it into school for show&tell, and although the kids laughed at me, my teached just smiled. The next day I was sent to a "special hospital", I think because my brain was way too smart. Good 'ol brain!

Durability: My older brother smashed it against a wall in shame of my "retardedness", he said. It didn't break, but I still had to send it to the teletubby hospital in Peru to make sure it was okay.

Overall: 5 Stars! I LOVE IT!

Put simply, this toy doesn't work. Or I should say perhaps it would work with really good bubble solution but it does not work with the bubble solution that comes with it. It sort of sputtered some bubble solution out the top but we never got even one full bubble much less the stream of bubbles we were hoping for. Luckily my little son never saw the toy and therefore didn't mind when we took it back.

This is a cute bubble machine. But honestly it isn't the most well made toy at all. The handle becomes defective and stays down. The solution leaks from the bottom and you don't get much bubbles coming out of the product.

My daughter received this gift for her 1st birthday. She likes it so much that I came on-line to purchase one for a friend and decided to look at the other reviews. I'm surprised by the negative comments!

After watching me demonstrate how to use the bubble blower my daughter was able to use it with ease. Once it's primed (a few pulls of the handle does the trick) the bubble blower produces 10-20 bubbles each time the handle is pulled. Of course she doesn't always pull the handle down far enough nor does she always release it enough to dip the stick in the bubble solution but that's all part of learning.

The product will leak bubbles if it's tipped upside down but the package tells you that.

Maybe I'm just not critical enough BUT for for less than $15 my kid can play with something she loves - BUBBLES. There is absolutely NO WAY she could work a bottle and wand of bubbles. Instead of the bubble blower - give your 1 year old a bottle of bubbles and you'll have a much bigger mess and she probably won't be able to blow a single bubble.

I bought two as Christmas gifts for the kids, and on one, the plastic piece holding the hinge together broke even before we cut it out of the plastic, and the other broke when the boys were opening and closing it repeatedly to make the alarm sound (not sure how rough they were, but we weren't amused that it broke so easily!).

I was going to replace them, but I think I will return the one that they didn't break themselves, and look for a sturdier one. I'm pretty sure a replacement would break again!

I like the electronic safe. Even though I don't have one but my friend does, and I think it works spectacullar. But I think you should lower the price on it. Us kids, some of us have to buy are own things like me, and my mom and dad won't let me get it because they say it is too much money, and they don't want me to waste $10.01 on a safe. So if you want costomers buying this product you better lower the price. My friend even said it is really expensive but the one thing about her parents is they don't care what she spends her money on they just want her to be happy. So think about what I just said to you.

I bought this and I'm saving my "REAL!" money in here. It works good with the YOUniverse ATM machine bank, because you could add the money until you make thousands of dollar.

After initially finding this toy on Amazon, as a 2nd birthday present for my niece, who absolutely adores Dora, I decided to go into ToysRUs to canvass.

The main reason I wanted to see the doll in the store was because I wanted to make sure that the doll had the capability to say my niece's name, Aulani. I had a lot of difficulty locating the doll in the store, it was not by the Dora merchandise or the interactive/computer area, but in the baby dept.

There is also a Pooh knows your name and an Elmo knows your name. In the store there is a keyboard where you type in your child's name and it will tell you what character knows that name. I was disappointed that only Pooh and Elmo could say Aulani, but when I changed the spelling to Alani, Dora could say it as well!

I purchased Dora Knows Your Name in the store, as opposed to having it shipped from Amazon because I was a little apprehensive about the difficulty of the programming, and I know that my sister would easily be frustrated if it was involved.

You can program the doll while it is still in the box. It comes with a CD rom and a USB chord. Using windows XP it took me about 10 minutes to download the software and run the personalization program. The only difficulty that I had was that I did not correctly insert the USB chord in the doll's control box. The download is fairly simple for anyone who has ever downloaded software. With that information, I would not hesitate buying a similar produuct online.

I absolutely love this doll, it serves as an alarm clock in the morning, reinforces a schedule, and provides entertainment through stories and songs. This doll will even count down the days to your child's birthday and will sing happy birthday. The only thing that I would change about this doll would be more options or a greater selection for stories and song on the software.

I read some of the reviews posted on this site before I bought this Doll, I saw it on Ebay but was afaird because of some the comments that was posted about the doll and thought I should buy it directly in case I needed to return it, But I had no problems at all other then the UBC cord the direction said to turn the cord one way when actually it is the other way, other then that I had no problem downloading anything and I can't wait to give this to my daughter for Easter.

This doll is perfect! How many dolls can you say is educational, encourages your child, and knows your child's name? My 3 1/2 year old just loves it! I was worried it wouldn't know her name but it did! Your child won't have to worry about being lonely or having an imaginary friend because this doll will become her best friend!!

My 3 year old son LOVES this Superman cape! Not only does he get to pretend to be Superman, but he gets to make the sounds, too! You can put it on a setting where it will make the sounds automatically when you move...so he will be fighting the bad guys and the cape will be making the sound effects for him. It makes play time seem even more real. I have a hard time getting him to take off the cape, so he usually wears it when we are out and about...and he gets a lot of positive comments on it. The little boys he runs into usually want to wear it. Another plus, as a mom, is that the cape comes off of the harder plastic part (the part that makes noise) so if you need to wash it you can! I HIGHLY recommend this toy!

The bubble machine was an absolute hit with the children at the party. It worked well and produced lots of bubbles that flew through the yard. There was only one downfall. When the wind didn't take the bubbles into flight, they would pop on the concrete. This made the concrete extremely slippery and dangerous for the childern playing around the machine. It just needed to be a little more powerful to blow the bubbles further. After we moved the machine, all was fine.

I purchased the 4 above Bubble Machines for a local
New Orleans event, The PussyFooters' Car Wash, and didn't
want to be disappointed, since the bubbles were to be used
for attracting drivers' attention. These are my findings.


#1 Overall - Bubble Party Machine
Of the 4 machines this was the ONLY one to deliver as one would expect.
Used the AC adaptor (included), didn't try the 8 C cells.
Immediate bubbles each and every time you turn it on
Double wands, offset from each other, results in continuous bubbles.
Directional flaps to control air flow.
Windy conditions and still bubbled.
The Only problem was that it has a tendency to "spit" soap solution along with the bubbles (due to the extra strong fan).

One review says that "Only one side was blowing bubbles and they were very, very weak". There are directional flaps inside that redirect the fan's air. If these are 90 degrees off, then they will block the fan, i.e. no bubbles, otherwise, if the fan is blowing, the wheel is turning, and soap is in the tray, this thing will bubble!


The rest are hard to rate, they all came in fourth compared to the
output of the Bubble Party Machine.

Used 6 AA batteries.
Not bad for the price, worked when protected from the wind.

Creative Motion 80202-9 Bubble Machine
Might have worked if not so windy, used the AC adaptor included.
When working, gaps between bubbles.
Mishandling caused wand wheel to snap.

Used 8 AA batteries.
Extremely poor design, uses a pump to pump solution from bottom to top resulting
in heavy battery consumption.
Attempts to coat wand in horizontal position, many "duds" resulting in few bubbles.

I bought this toy for my children and they just love it seeing all the bubbles coming out at one time this is a toy for everyone I was playing with it myself with the children.

My six year-old received this for his birthday and hasn't given it a second glance. But he was the same with Lincoln Logs a while back and now loves them. So I haven't given up hope yet.

Brilliant. Simple, easy to use creatively, encourages practice with spatial relations and engineering.. My (currently four year old) son plays with his Tinker Toys all the time. He never seems to get sick of these!

When shopping for xmas presents I wanted to buy a "building" set and I was recommended that Tinkertoys were very popular in the USA - I am a brit so never really knew what this toy was.

Not wanting to do lego's yet, but wanting something better than megablocks as we had outgrown them alreadythought what the heck and bought it a box of Tinker Toys for my son.

I can honestly say it was the best [...] we spent that year. He has played with this by himself, or with his dad or/and me, who have built all the toys on the box ! Its a really fun toy.

and the large box is enought btw to build things, and also, just enough pieces that they dont get lost and will get picked up each time.

Also great size pieces as younger than 3 cant swallow anything, but intriguing enough for the older kiddies to build with :}

I like this game more than the original Uno because I find it more of a challenge. I love that it has the most up to date movie photos on the cards. This game is worth the money and any Harry Potter fan or Uno fan young or old will get a kick out of this game.

Very disappointed in recent order of May 2006 as cards are smaller and pictures are not the same as order of last year (3 purchased).
Do not believe the pictures in the ad (good ones from last year) as Toys R Us must have changes manufacturers.

Great game but I want the old cards.

My family loves Harry Potter and Uno so this game is great. Its the best Harry Potter game I've seen yet. I would recommend this to anyone.
