Step 2 Push Around Buggy - Pink

    OK toy
I bought this toy for my toddler. She gets tired of it very quickly. If I could buy one again, I'd buy one where she could steer with her feet down, instead of her having to keep them up.

    Our Favorite Toy
This toy has replaced our stroller. My daughter absolutely loves to ride in this car. We take her on walks in this car as well as to the mall. She will sit and ride in this car for hours while she will only sit in the stroller for fifteen minutes.

    Excellent for the summer !!!
I purchased this buggy over the Memorial Day weekend and it was very practical. My daughter only eight months old loved it once she saw it and when we put her on she didn't want to get off. We had a few BBQs to go to and the buggy saved us and allowed my daughter to enjoy the outdoors. Plus, it has a storage compartment in the front; I was able to fit two bottles, diapers and a travel wipe case.

    No Seat Belt!!
How can you make a trike for an 18 month old with no seat belt, especially if you are going to use the bar and push the child. That is ridiculous. One year olds fall off, or jump off if they see something interesting. Also, the child can steer, how much fun is that to try to push a toodler that is trying to learn to steer but you are pushing. No thanks, it went back!!

    Fun indoors and out
We tried a variety of riding vehicles for our one year old and this one is the best. I find he enjoys this more than the types where he is expected to push himself along with his feet. True, he can't reach the pedals yet but when the purple base is attached as a rocker, he can sit on it and pretend to ride. I find it a bonus that it doesn't rock too much so as to be dangerous - just enough so that he gets the feeling that he's moving. The rocker base de-attaches and becomes a handle so that an adult can push him around without getting a backache. The music and lights are cute, and the tune is not a familiar nursery rhyme so I find it less annoying than most musical toys. The most fun we have with it is when his sister (age 4) pedals and her brother sit's behind her, reclining with his back resting on the purple base/push handle (if you can picture that). So far we have had no problems with malfunction or breakage after 2 months use. We have a lot of fun with this toy, both around the house and out at the park.

    We love it!
This was purchased for my daughters first birthday. She loves it. She can "rock" it by herself, and loves to "roll" in it, and my oldest daughter, 4 1/2, has enjoyed the "ride". This is a great toy and I know we'll get years of use from it. FYI-our buttons and lights work great and we have had no trouble.

    Star Wars Monopoly ROCKS!
This game is a terrific new version of the classic. All the same rules apply of course, but if you choose, the game comes with instructions for a Star Wars twist! I won't tell you what it is, but I will tell you it has something to do with the dice. The game comes with eight character tokens (four are good guys, four are bad guys) and a blue die and a red die. The colors come in handy when playing the star Wars version. You buy and trade for planets. You buy settlements and citys instead of houses and hotels. I think it's great fun! Although I've lost every game to my little brothers! Oh, and for all you big Star wars fans out there, the instructions come with a translation guide for the Star wars galaxy Aurebush language. It helps you to read the words on the "Republic credits". All in all it's a great game, so get out there and play! May the Force be with you!

    Classic
Monopoly is just a wonderful game. The classic version after 70 odd years is still just a great game. You can sit down with friends and have a wonderful time and the game is great for everyone from five and on. once a child can read monopoly is a great way to introduce them to the concept of money in a fun way. and it is just a blast to play. Even when your opponet gets upset and upends the board.

      No Volume
My daughter received this toy recently for her birthday. She went into her bedroom, and her dad was in the kitchen - a matter of 25 feet. We turned the volume all the way up on both handsets, and we couldn't hear anything. My daughter was so disappointed b/c she had wanted this toy for a while. My advice - don't buy this set.

      Useless!
I wouldn't waste your money. These have no reception, the volume is non-existent, if you can hear anything over the static. spend just a few dollars more and get real ones from the outdoor store. My daughters were so upset that they couldn't even use them. Don't buy these is my only advice!

      This toy does not work!
We received the toy and went out to get the 9-volt batteries immediately because my 6 year old wasvery anxious to play with them. Nothing we did would make the walkie talkies work. Needless to say, we wasted good money on a toy that never worked.

      Okay, but not great.
I liked the idea of my four-year old having a responsibility chart. I even like the wide assortment of chore magnets they give you, plus extras that you can make up your own chores with. However, a few days after I bought it, the wood frame started to buckle and bow. It lost it's shape and now bulges out from the wall. Some of the magnets fall off in the more bulging areas. Great concept, but could be made better for the price they charge!

      neat idea
My kids love this chart. The only thing I would change would be to have it fold the other way so that the magnets could be stored inside if I need to move it.

      Wonderful!!!
I purchased this chart for my 7 yr old daughter and she just loves it!!! It makes our mornings flow much more smoothly now that I'm not constantly having to remind her of what she needs to do each morning before and after school. Nicely made and is very durable. Perfect for boys and girls!!

Broken Right Out of the Box
My daughter received this as a present and while we were excited about all the activities that the book is capable of, it doesn't help if the book never works. I don't know if it was the cartridge or the pencil, but the book does not recognize anything the pencil does and keeps repeating the initial book greeting over and over. After reading the other comments on this book, I've decided not to replace it. We'll wait until Leap Frog "fixes" the product line first.

      My Son Never Uses It
I bought LeapPad Plus Writing on impulse at the store, wanting to help my son with writing, phonics, etc.

He used it a few times, but I almost have to beg for him to use it...and that's sad. I wish I would have gotten the original LeapPad or perhaps even the Leapster.

For one thing, the book doesn't recognize all pencil movements. A child could make an incorrect number or letter, and it doesn't seem that the LeapPad would recognize it. Also, the child has to keep erasing over and over, providing limited usage.

Not only that, there are only a few books published with LeapPad Writing in mind, and the exercises are repetitive (e.g. writing the number 6 ten times).

I've bought quite a few LeapPad books and Quantum Pad books for my son, and he is just not interested after initial use. I'm sure he's learned a little bit of phonics using the phonics books and such, but I think he learns more from workbooks bought at a bookstore or a department store--and they're cheaper! Not only that LeapPad books are very short...much shorter than workbooks you can buy.

Considering that LeapPad books are usually around $15 a pop--and that Amazon doesn't carry/list them all and there is a VERY limited selection in Stuff Mart-type stores (at least, that's the case in my geographical area)--you may want to re-consider investing in the LeapPad system.

One star for each week it worked
I'm new to writing reviews and I promised my spouse I was going to be moderate in tone but THIS THING STINKS! When I got it home and opened the box, I found out the magic pen was a regular pencil that has to be erased after each use. That got tossed in the junk drawer. Now I'm down to a regular leappad. The first three weeks when it worked properly, it was very effective and my daughter learned tons from it (hence the three stars) After three weeks I started having the same problems other parents reported. The wand recognizes things on the page even before my daughter touches anything. It recognizes things incorrectly-"Arizona! Arizona!" like a demented cuckoo while she's touching Florida. I have to turn it on and off several times to get it to work properly. I'm going to buy her a regular leappad.
UPDATE: To be fair, and since I generally have a good opinion of leapfrog, I called them about our issues with this toy. They said it sounded like a problem with the pen and sent me a new one since we were still under warranty. The pen arrived in a few days and works well, but for how long? Some parents have replaced theirs as much as 6 times? I'm not going to do that. My opinion has not changed because the writing feature, which is why you buy this model in the first place, is laborious and messy. The pens are still unreliable. Buy the regular leapster.

      Good Toy, but Quickly Outgrown
My daughter received this when she was 16 months old. At first she had trouble climbing the rock steps (it would be nice if they stuck out a bit further for better footing).

And even though she loves to swing at the park, she's never cared for this swing. It is pretty much impossible to put her in it without pushing the swing back and up, and it is very difficult to buckle her in before she just slides forward and off the swing. And the few times I have successfully gotten her in the swing, it isn't much of a thrill for her cause it doesn't swing back hardly at all. I basically have to just keep pulling the swing forward for her. She mostly uses the swing just to give her dolls rides on it.

Now, at 21 months, she does love the slide and the captain's wheel. She seems to feel pretty proud while she stands up on the deck, and even prouder when she sits down and goes down the slide all on her own. But as she gets taller the slide is quickly becoming less thrilling to her.

This is a very strong and sturdy toy, and it is small enough we kept it in my daughter's bedroom during the winter months. I would recommend just buying the slide, which you can buy seperate from the swing, and to buy it early so you can get the most use out of it.

      good for the beginner
We purchased this toy for my son's first birthday because he loves to swing and slide. The other reviews are right as far as the swing goes. It barely swings and is low to the ground. It is good for a smaller child, just be sure to get it early enough to get some use out of it.
The slide is great for a small child, it is fun and not too scarry. At one my son could not climb the rock wall to go down the slide by himself, I would have to assist him, now at 18 months he has no problems.
It seems to be durable and well made. I keep ours outside in Florida and it has not begun to fade or crack like a few of his other plastic toys. Overall I give it 4 stars because of the swing. In our case, we would have been better off with just the slide and a totally separate swing.

Great for my 8 month old
I bought this for my 8 month old son because he loves to swing, and all of our trees are too small to hold an infant swing. It is the perfect size for him, and he should be able to enjoy it all summer. Hopefully we will get some use next summer also. He is too small for the slide now, but it seems to be great for beginners. I will admit that it is too small for 3-4 year olds. The assembly was fairly easy. I did it by myself in an hour. Overall, it is great for my intended purpose.

      Not What I Expected
Well I read the reviews and it sounded like a fun toy. So I tried it out before I gave it to my kids. Well the kids never got it. I almost broke my back on that thing. Sounded like a fun toy to practice balance. Is it really possible to balance on it without holding on to a wall or something? If so, please enlighten me. Sounded fun but after I tried it, not so much. I left it outside and my dog thought the wheel was a chew toy. =0) I also thought the wheel was somehow attached to the board. It is not so when you lose your balance the wheel goes a flying. If you like a challenge then go ahead a buy it. If you value your spine, then I would think twice.

      A Hit
A holiday gift for 3 kids who love to ski but live in a compact NYC apartment. Between the 3 of them there's always someone practicing. I remembered having one when we grew up and I loved it (though my brother was the one that could do headstands on it). It's nice to wood-- not plastic around the house, too.

      Anonomous
FABULOUS!!! I bought this for our 9 year old...No one can resist practicing balancing on it, often for long stretches of time, and including not only our child's freinds, but often their parents, and even grandparents! Everyone loves this balance board. It's extremely sturdy/heavyweight/durable, seems to be a professional quality sports item- just like you might see in school gyms, or in use for professional sports players training. Seems fine for younger children too. Seems indestructible. No reqrets on this purchase- well worth the investment!

        Rattle Rox Rock!
I have a 6 year old son and 8 year old daughter. I gave these to them as a reward and they are very cool. Now I wish I had bought more for presents. They have been playing with them often and wherever we go, this toy sparks the interest of all ages! Highly recommend this toy.
