Sammy is a pretty hefty chunk of solid, unbending plastic, and you're supposed to balance him on a 1-and-a-half inch metal spike that sticks out the bottom of one foot---to simulate that cute little hop he does, right before a homerun lap. Problem is, the lightweight base has a very shallow hole to receive said metal spike, so Sammy's body tends to lean heavily atop the shallowly-anchored spike once assembled on the base. You have to position him carefully, to avoid the whole model just toppling over. Also, carefully concealed in the box is a short black plastic rod which is necessary to mount the bat to the base. The rod barely fit the too-small hole the on the bat, causing some restrained cursing during the build process. Once assembled, I must say it's a surprisingly lifelike and detailed model that does not disappoint.

okay, i'm not the type of mom who adheres strictly to the "must be over 3 yrs old" rule for most toys, i figure if its not small enough for them to swallow or pointy enough for them to jab each other, they can handle it. but this is a little much, the edges of the truck are sharp (duh i could see that before i bought it but i thought it'd still be ok!) and the yellow thing comes off, and the people/dog are very sharp also! my two yr old was very excited for about 15 minutes, since she loves firetrucks and the one yr old didnt even look at it. now its sitting on a dresser literally gathering dust. (i just cleaned it off) also we only have one guy left, its impossible to keep things together isnt it? the guys dont really "pop" up, they just go up/down. kind of boring, dont ask me what made me think it would be fun! prob cuz i like the brand, but i'll stick to their puzzles.

My 18 month old loves trucks and cars and this was a great addition to his collection. The chunky pieces are a great size for his hands and there are enough pieces to keep him entertained. Just be careful as the ladder piece comes out of the truck and has a 5-6 inch, 1/2 inch diameter wooden dowel that can be hurtful if fallen on. Otherwise...it was a good buy for us.

My kids love anything with fire trucks or firefighters, so when my 2-year old got this Pop & Go Fire Truck for his birthday, he wouldn't let go of it for anyone else to play with! The firefighters come out so there's lots of play value besides the fire truck itself. I signed on to buy the School Bus as a gift, and recommend these to anyone.

My son is reading at a 3rd grade level and loves being read to but doesnt care much for reading on his own. He has really enjoyed this book. Certain passages are read aloud and then the child must read on his own. You can click on any words you have trouble with to find out what the word is and if you click again you get a definition of the word, which is a great way to build vocabulary. It is a chapter book and the material is a bit on the younger side. The story is engaging enough that my son wanted to find out what happened next.
I would recommend it for 2nd graders that are ahead in reading to 4th graders that are behind.
I do wish Quantum would come out with some more advanced chapter books like the Lemony Snicket series.

This doll is from the creator of Bratz. If you like Bratz dolls you will like the Yummi Land dolls as well. I can get these dolls at my local Walmart store, so I bet Target has them too! The Straberry shaped purse that Susie Strawbella holds is lipgloss for you! Her pet is a Chocolate Chiuaua and has the cutest outfit! These dolls smell really good too! I first saw these at Walmart today and I LOVED them! So I looked online and added them to My Wishlist! I hope you like this doll as much as I do!!

I find this game good for keeping me on my toes. You actually have to think. Really fun with five people.

The game itself is wonderful; however, ordering it online as I did is another thing. I ordered 4 games (at one time) and I was charged $7.00 per game(small box) handling fee. So a $13 game turned into a $20.00+ game. Quite a profit on shipping and handling I would say. There is another website I found later you can get the game with much cheaper shipping and handling.

A friend visiting from out-of-town introduced me to this game and gave it to me as a gift. It is very easy to learn as it is similar to traditional card games, but adds a new dimension or two. We already owned the game SET, created by the same company, and I highly recommend that one too (though you have to use your noggin a bit more). The great thing about Five Crowns is as other family members watched us play, they wanted a piece of the action as well. Even my five-year-old can play it to an extent.

The game takes about 30-40 minutes to play a full game, but you can really stop anytime you want. And unlike some card games, this game is just as fun with two people as it is with six. Highly recommended.

My two and a half year old has been introduced to the Fraggles via the season 1 dvd. She loves her Gobo but really wants a Mokey. Guess we'll have to wait until it's released. These plush dolls are the perfect size. Not too big and not too small. Easy to be carried around everywhere. Great job on the detail. I'm not sure who's more impressed, my daughter or myself.

Sabba toys has announced that Mokey will available summer 2006. I for one couldnt be more elated. She was always my favorite as a child, and you can sure bet I will be watching intently for her.

you are not very nice mr or mrs Watts. shame on you for calling your review "a perfect way to make fat kids fatter". who says fat kids will get fatter? this toy doesnt promote fatness. the reviewer who said "we use our manners to order the food and you certaily don't see a lot of that nowadays!" is so right. you are rude, Watts. dont come on amazon until you can learn to respect people and behave. you need a slap on the wrist.

This toy has been getting alot of attention from my 7 year old!!

Hi! We bought this for our (then) four year old son last year for Christmas. He still plays with it. Although it feels a bit like cheap plastic, it's very durable. (nothing has broken in a year!! and with a now five year old boy who still plays with it, that's saying something!) All the pieces fit nicely inside (except for the mat thing, but my son doesn't use that.) Well made. This is great for pretend play. I noticed one reviewer didn't like this product solely for what it represented. Personally, I would PREFER a toy like this, as opposed to action figures that promote violence, and crash em cars. My son and I pretend with these, and use our manners to pretend order - which a lot of people don't have these days! I'm rambling, back to the review. Comes with a lot of pieces that are extras - sign, trash bin, etc. My son basically plays with the people and the restaurant. The only drawback is something I notice with every brand of every playset on the market - when closed up for storage, pieces can fall out the openings. On the plus side, they usually don't. For the price, it's a good value. I would recommend it!

We made the cars with 3 boys (ages 8, 7 and 4) and it was a lot of fun. It was difficult for the boys to wait for the plaster to dry, but they really loved decorating with the blow pens. They started out playing rough with the cars and so they got a couple of chips in them, but they still work! The boys were proud that they made them, each had their own color.

My kids and I are having a great time with this product. We have all made one car each. The blopens make a great finish. Now we are racing them on our hotwheel tracks. Its like a miniture pinewood derby. Great Item
