Received the Get-up Clippity Clop Horse two days before date stated by Amazon so was highly thrilled and excited. Excitement was short-lived when the 'press to activate' button on horse's head didn't work. The problem was the product is shipped with the batteries activated (presumably so potential customers in stores can hear the snorting and neighing before buying the product. After replacing the three dead AAA batteries, the horse neighed and snorted as advertized. The batteries in the horse's hooves are a different story. They were sent activated also (turned on rather than off). I don't understand this because no potential customer can hear the clippity clop without tearing the container apart to access the hooves. No amount of slapping the shoes on a floor activated any sound except the slapping on the floor. I hope my three-year-old granddaughter has better luck since I would certainly hate to replace these six-cell batteries before a clippity clop is heard. May I suggest that the batteries in an online shipment be deactivated or packaged separately insuring fresh rather than totally dead ones. Leaving them activated as done would seem to promote corrosion as well as disappointment. (But....perhaps I am beating a dead horse in my review....no pun intended.......) If replacing the batteries make the hooves work also, it will probably be worth it since my granddaughter is very special to me. A last comment......I have found no store anywhere in the Raleigh, N.C. area that carries the Big Boing in stock. I had no choice but to order it online. If that is the only way to obtain one of these noise makers then why activate the batteries if they can't be tried out in a store. Walmart, Target, and ToysRUs only offer them online....WHY?

My little daughter loves horses. When I saw this item on Amazon's features I bought it. It is a fun toy that two months later she still plays with. My only complaint is that the feet stopped making sounds after the first day of use. I changed the batteries (which are round photo-type batteries) but it did not help. It looks to me as though the feet can't take the beating of a four year old. Other than that it is a good product.

I watched Amazon for nearly 2 months for this item to be back in stock. We finally got our game and the quality is not all that great. Over all it's pretty good, but the timer broke before we even started our first game and the spinner is so cheaply made that it's a pain to use. *When we pass it from one player to the next, we have to take a moment to straighten it up and get the spinner arrow back in the center of the hole properly so it'll spin as it should. It's quite annoying.

My boys (ages 6 & 4) played this game with their Daddy and me and we had fun with it. Learned quite a bit too. Of course, it's a little advanced for our 4 year old, but we were able to include him just fine.

this is a great game....my 7 and 9 year old plays it and they have a blast...it would be great for your schools as well.

My 7 year old daughter is a geography buff, and her skills definately improved after playing this game! It improved mine too! I found out how little I remember about differnt states! She learned North, South, East and West, can name all the states and the capitols! She is leaps and bounds ahead of her classmates in this area, I attribute that to the fun learning she experienced playing this game! I plan to purchase one for all my nieces and nephews when they are 7.

My kids where excited, when they received the rock tumbler as a gift. Very easy to use, but the problem is that it can not make it through the whole polishing process. The motor burns out at step 3 of a 4 step process, so we never did get the rocks polished.. Contacted the company, and have not heard back from them as of yet..

I got this as a birthday present. I was surprised that it did not take very long at all. One bad part is that it is noisy. Even though it does not take a long time, have patients because it takes 2-7 days for the process to complete. I was extremly happy with the results. It is worth more than what you pay. It was a little hard to find the refil kits but i found them.

I bought this tumbler for my 7-year-old daughter. She has enjoyed using it more than I have. It does its job well for the price you pay. Be sure to read the directions carefully before starting. It is a very noisy and time-consuming activity. Each of the 4 steps takes a half-hour or less of your time. However, you must be a patient person because after every step, the rocks have to tumble for 2-7 days. You will need a room outside of your house to set it up in. We can still hear it in our detached guestroom from the patio. I loved witnessing the transformation process. I will be buying the refill because she is absolutely thrilled with her accomplishment.

We got this for my one year old son because he loved playing with his big sister's doll house from the same line of toys. The doll house has a variety of sound effects, which was his favorite part of playing with it. However, the castle only has one effect - when you press on the flag, the king's chair swings around while a trumpet sound plays - that's it. My son continues to play with the doll house and my daughter uses the castle for her Disney princess figurines, so I guess everyone is happy anyway!

My daughter loves this castle! She can push the flag down herself to hear the trumpets sound & watch the door open. She also enjoys the horse w/ this set- it trots all over our house. Overall, well worth it; we're very satisified!

This connects to other Little People towns. My kids love it! Comes with great accessories and extra "connection" walls so that you can add on the accessories. My kids love all Little People.

My daughter got this for her 3rd birthday, she is a big Madeline fan. The doll doesn't even look like Madeline but is cute. The accessories are way too small for a 3 yr old to handle. Other than the elevator going up and down, there isn't much else to do w/ this set. The makers should have included another figure/character. I wouldn't pay for than $15 for this, not worth the money. The box that it came in is gigantic, the actual toy is small. Big plus is that the toy is carryable, everything stores inside. Overall, cute to look at but that's about it.

I bought this for my 2 & 1/2 year old daughter and she absolutely loves it! Her favorite part is putting Madeline (or other dolls) in the elevator and making it go up and down. There were a couple of tiny accessories that we've had to hide until she gets a little older. There is a little place where you can put all the accessories so that you can close it up without without having to worry about where to put them. It also has a handle on top so my daughter can carry it around where ever she wants to go! Great deal!

My daughter (age 7) received this for her birthday. She loves Madeline and loves the small parts in this set. The pieces are really cute and the Eiffel Tower snaps shut for clean-up.

I bought the above for my four-year-old granddaughter. She enjoys the LeapPad Book very much. It seems to stimulate her inquisitiveness, and she finds it to be lots of fun.

I ordered this for my 3 1/2 year old daughter. She has been trying to write her name before, but some letters give her trouble. I gave her this "book" and she loves it! We own about 10 First Leap Pad books and she plays with this one more than any (she even put down the Disney Princess one to play with this). She likes practicing tracing the dotted lines on the letters. She doesn't do most of the other games, but she enjoys tracing the letters. The music makes it more exciting than the preschool handwriting books I had purchased for her. She won't spend two minutes with those. It does seem that her "free" handwriting is getting better. She just received the L-Max for Christmas (we haven't opened it yet)and the Letters on the Loose game which I read was good for writing. I'm sure that with both of these, she will have writing down pat very soon.

We own over a dozen books for My First LeapPad. This particular book is my daughter's second favorite. In fact, we own two versions of it, one in English and the other in French.

My wife and I purchased this book because our daughter needed help with her fine motor skills, especially when it came to writing letters and numbers. She wasn't lagging or anything, but she made the mistakes all three-year-olds make when trying to write.

Through fun activities, this book taught her to write in strait lines as well as proper curved lines. She learned to correctly print both capital and small letters. She also learned to correctly write her numbers. We were pleasantly surprised by how much this book improved our daughter's fine motor skills and control over a pen.

Additionally, since her French lagged her English, the French version of this book taught her the alphabet in French and well as all her numbers in this language. Had she not already known these things in English, I imagine it would have taught her these as well.

This book is definitely one of My First LeapPad's best.
