Best toy i'v ever had. Great for kids that like to invent and build.For its price its worth it. "bv"

Triops are absolutly the most horrid thing I've ever seen. Kids may think they're fun and they ARE educational, but triops are for a science lab - I'm sticking with sea monkeys!

Another creative innovation by Imaginarium which gives kids a chance to practice material that may already have been covered in their textbook but which they may still need to review.

I won't say that this exactly makes learning FUN but it definitely adds some variety and even some challenges that keep kids interested. More importantly, it is geared to specific textbooks and has learning tips and directions to help kids who are confused, a review of chapter material, new problems to practice, etc.

I found this worked best (at first) with parental supervision but a highly motivated student could use it himself or herself.

What IS wonderful about the Flyware system is how it can be used for either fun OR education, so that kids are likely to play with it, even if they aren't crazy about practicing schoolwork.

Is it a pen or a mini-computer? Consider it a hybrid, with some nifty softwear.

wow! is the first thing i said when i finally saw this toy!! i put it on my wish list for my husband to buy. CSI or not it's a toy for a more cerebrial child, not "mental" like the other comments. My daughter is in love with bugs and life, intergrating them both into a toy is an excellent idea and very creative and ARTISTIC. I have been left with few options and piles of unopened Barbies, Bratz...and a broken overused bug carrier set... thanks for the variety!!

What amazes me is the fact that everyone is concentrating on dead bodies (even people who like it). Has anyone ever heard of anthropology? What about anatomy? This toy simply says that if you start with this (the base) and take into consideration the different factors (pegs) which help the features take shape, then the finished product is what you end up with. These various pegs are what help us to look like us and not the person down the street. We are all the same underneath but there are subtleties that give us our unique features. Kids are not as macabre as adults as you can see by the reviews here. Adults are the ones that pass along their fears and views to their children- this is a perfect example. DO not make more out of it than there is. How you choose to present it to your child is up to you but it all breaks down to basic anatomy not whether or not you watch CSI.

My 12 year old daugher thinks this is one of the coolest things she has ever seen. And, yes, she wants to be a coroner, or forensic anthropologist, and has for several years. Yes, several years, and she has no "issues" as someone commented about children who have this as a career goal!
She is a homeschooled student and forensics is currently her science subject. We also have purchased materials to do forensic solve-it type mysteries in a group setting. This skull reconstruction is wonderful, and will be featured with my daughter's science festival display, about forensics. She started watching the show, CSI, just this season, but people used to ask her if that was why she liked forensics, when we had never even heard of the show. So, if your child, or teen, or yourself is interested in this subject, this item is ideal. It can be a healthly interest!
