it LOOKS really cool. Its a really cool IDEA. But we couldn't see them like you do in the picture. But its the same box thing (just styrofoam and a clear plastic "window") as the "worm-vue-wonder" so we'll fill it with worms now and see if that works any better

I was real disappointed with this product. I usually like toys that allow children to grow things and I felt this would be a real good learning experience. However....out of the 20+ seeds that we tried planting, only 2 actually sprouted. The directions say to plant them 1/4 inch from the viewing window. We did this the first time and when it sprouted, we were unable to see the root! I recommend planting the seeds right next to the viewing window and planting a few more than the 3-4 seeds per hole that they say in the instructions. (Or try a different product...The Wee Enchanted Garden is Great!)

My six-year-old daughters are enthralled by the root view! What an excellent way to instill a fascination and love of science!
I highly recommend this for all children (okay, I'll admit it, I'm pretty fascinated with it myself!)

I purchased this for my son, neither my husband nor myself can get the thing to work so that you can actually see something! Do yourself a favor and save the $25.00 and buy something else!

A tripod leg broke, and one can only see a blur through the lens. This was quite a disappointment for my nephew.

On Christmas morning my son opened this up ecstatically. He opened up the box and pulled it out. Then he opened up the tripod and---SNAP! One of the legs broke completly off. It is plastic and therefore NOT fixable. And let it be said that my boy is not rough by any means. It was just very weak thin plastic. I am so not happy with the quality of any of this brands products (which also includes Uncle Milton brand). Everything I have bought I have had to either take back and get replaced or deal with crappy and flimsy products. I have now learned my lesson and will not buy this or any affliates brands again and I hope you won't either. It might be different if they were priced accordingly, but they are way expensive for the quality. Be forewarned.

My 5 year old's grandfather bought this for him and the three of us put it together! He could help identify the major pieces but I had to find the pieces that went together for the most part. He loved tapping on the pieces with the little hammer after I would stick them together to make sure they were together. He keeps it in his room and refuses to take it apart. The only downfall is that the legs easily fall off when it tips over and I have to put it back together. Not a big deal! I plan on getting him the T-rex for Christmas this year!

This is a great toy I may take it from my son and put it in my office. It looks vicious, like it's going to walk over and bite at any second. fun to put together and solid as a rock. Cool wood, too. my son won't let it out his room. it took a while to put together but not too long.
